Hello Ian: DON"T wait for the X100V to be "In Stock" - order one now! I ordered one from Adorama (even though it was out of stock) and I received it in six weeks. They will never show it as being "in stock" on their site until they have a decent back stock - which may be a long time!! Order one now and you will get it! Hope this helps!
Adorama and Abe’s of Maine were sold out so I just ordered mine from the restock on True Media. Came with an extra battery and as card and holder. Received it today and I ordered three days ago
3:42 I just learned something here. Thank you. When I use the back dial on my shutter speed the speed is changing very slowly and not in common increments of 30, 60, 125 rather bit by bit 100, 101, 102 etc. How do I change this?
Great video. I don't shoot lossless becuase they do not provide a thumbnail preview on MacOS. Also compressing takes battery life? Noticed you use the T mode for shutter speed access, there's another, if you put the exposure ccomp dial into C you can use the front dial to change it quickly on the fly
Thanks for the tips Mike (I’m a bit late to the party on this one!). I’ve had my 100V for a few months now and feel comfortable enough with it to start messing with the settings. Re BBF, I’ve found that if you want to go fully BBF (like I have set up on my Canon) then you need to turn off AF functions from the shutter button. Otherwise, if you pre focus with the AEL/AFL button, then take your finger off the button and half press the shutter button it will refocus.
Thank you Mike. Looking to get hold of this camera. However today I saw a video from a guy I appreciate much who talked about the camera getting warm soon (not overheating). What is your experience and idea about this? Need to ask as I appreciate your contributions also very much 😉
Thanks for your video, quick question, if you lock your joy stick, how do you move the focus box around to ensure your subject is in focus? It would be great to have a video on how we can better our focus skills! 😊
I actually use shutter sound. I’m new to Fuji and digital cameras overall, switching from Nikon F2 I never knew when I took a picture. It sounds bad but bad is better then none.
Only thing that somehow is a little bit annoying about fine + raw is that you can have some ISO levels that wouldn’t have been necessary if the used film simulation wouldn’t need it because of the dynamic range level. So if you go for a shot you definitely want to edit afterwards you should shoot in raw or use just a simple film simulation with DR100. A raw file from a sunny day with iso 640 is something at least I avoid if possible.
Hey, I have a question regarding the boost mode. When I turn boost mode on, there is a boost indicator showing on the LCD/EVF. I went to the display settings and unchecked the Box saying „Boost“. However it’s still showing the boost indicator.
Hey, i have problem with tip 15. back button focus. How to set it up to lock focus and exposure at the same time. It is working for shutter button. But not for the back button if it is even possible.
A lot of useful information, but it would be very helpful if you slowed down your verbal description of moving through the menu. It was helpful to have the red banner with the menu selection. I would have left the video if that red ribbon didn’t let me stop the video and make the steps.
Nice tips! I never shoot my X100 in RAW. That’s for the Sony/Canon/Nikon boys who want to spend 2 hours in Lightroom after shooting for an hour 😉 I also don’t do BBF because when you hand the camera to your friend, wife or kid, you’re getting an out of focus shot, every time.
Just picked up a X100V. Very useful, thanks.
Thanks! Just got myself this camera and needed some tips!
My pleasure
legit tips, this is how a video should be - Thanks for sharing quality content with us.
Thank you!!
Hello, how do you make that beauty contrast in the 0:51 pic?
Short and to the point video. Found it very useful, especially as I’d love to get an X100V - if only someone had one in stock !!!!
Thanks for watching, they seem soooo hard to get anywhere!

I was literally F5 every single day until I found one (1! ON STOCK) on Amazon - i purchased it and it was out of stock again haha

Ooh those are some interesting disadvantages to lossless - I will bear them in mind

Wow great tips, can you make a video how to create and save custom simulation for future use?
Love this video, thank you. I can’t seem to get AF/MF to let me manually shift focus with the lens wheel. Do I need my focus set on M, C, or S?
thank you... mine is on the way so this video is really helpful. they sold like hot cakes.
Have fun! Hope you enjoy it.
Thank you for some very useful tips.
Thanks for the nice video. I don't know how to set up minimal on display, can you tell me how to do?

In the meantime got the camera. Feels a bit warm, no factor. See what summer does for the temp.

On my X100VI I can't find the "Push to Unlock" focus lever setting. It's not listed. Did they remove this setting for the x100vi???

I hear that a few times tbf, a lot of people like the sound.
Thank you for all mate !

This doesn't seem to be the consensus of the fuji community.

Thanks for watching!
No histogram in EVF or OVF? Natural live view is a feature you should explore too, especially if you learn to use a histogram.
I never use a histogram. I'm more surprised that people use them, thanks for watching!
Hopefully, one day I'll be able to expose correctly without using one too. I need more practice, new to photography, not a pro.
@@alfienoakes4956 Of course, everyone has a different approach.
It's mostly for quickly seeing if you're crushing your blacks and/or whites. It's a visual vs. analog way of seeing exposure. @@MikeChudley
I am getting only size of 1.3MB image which is low resolution
I would like to change, but...NOBODY HAS ONE TO SELL!
I know it’s a year later but im selling mine 😅

Very useful but too fast! Have to replay lots..
Remove lens cap, place in sock drawer.

Actually, RAW is for us old-schoolers who actually learned Photography the correct way and loved printing negatives.
Ty bb🥺
Dude goes like a supersonic jet
Wait you are telling me fine > normal 😢
FAR too fast!
