This is further proof that doc should sue twitch into oblivion for slander/libel. The current/former employees saying doc sexted a minor has so muddied the water that no one is capable of evaluating this critically. Everyone wants to be presumptuous. And so this is defacto proof that twitch has caused irrevocable harm to docs business.
"But he admitted to sexting." He did not. Sexting is sending sexually explicit messages and or images. He denied this, and no evidence was provided of this.
"But he admitted to being inappropriate." 1) he didnt, because his statement was that they had "casual conversation" that "leaned towards inappropriate." He didn't admit to being inappropriate , but the conversation was leaning toward it. 2) inappropriate is highly subjective. Some of the public is assuming inappropriate means something overtly sexual, while others think it means a mild compliment. Theres no way to know but if you assume the worst you are the proof that twitch has slandered doc.
"But theres no evidence, why are you defending him?" Exactly. There's no real evidence and yet a ton of people amd his business associates are assuming the worse. Proof of slander.

What he did was absolutely immoral and disgusting, leaving the law out of it. It isn't clear if people at Twitch did their job and reported this interaction to authorities.

Now its just a click of a button and those doing it can get their shot of being a good person that works for 15mins, before needing another one.

The big wrench for me is that soliciting a minor is a crime and it's not the kind of crime you can NDA. In the state of California it lands you an automatic spot on the sex-offender registry. It would be public record. State attorneys and law enforcement don't just turn a blind eye to this kind of thing - at every point in the civil suit with twitch there would be multiple entities who would be legally obligated to report the behavior if it were occurring.
Even if we took a cynical view on it "local internet celeb caught using his platform to solicit minors and I'm the DA who pursued charges against him" is a golden ticket for your PR team. Minor's can't even chose not to pursue charges, Prosecutors do that.
There would be a paper trail for The People vs Disrespect and since that doesn't exist it would be inexplicable that there would be any level of actual guilt here.

there was a clip where a fan didn't know he was playing with doc disrespect and he said he loved the the doc. Doc responded with "he can get on my nerves once and awhile" with the fan responding "not for me dude I love him". Doc preceded to break character and got off his chair while tearing up. and now with this situation the clip almost has a different vibe to it because maybe deep down Doc KNOWS he is not living a moral life, "he can get on my nerves once and awhile" after a fan expresses their support followed by the break of character because at the time his fans didn't know what he was doing behind the camera.
I used to believe he cried in that clip because he was shocked a fan could show this much support of him even to a who the fan thought was just a stranger on a video game. Now with this context I believe the doc was crying because in that moment he knew his bad decisions would eventually be found out the fans who showed so much support and love for the guy would eventually learn about him.

If it is so much worse like this Twitch employee says and clearly insinuates about Doc, then why would Twitch pay out the full contract? Isn't that completely shitting all over Twitch as well? Also, if Doc is holding things back that would paint him in a better light, it also might still be wrapped up in an NDA, ie. if Doc didn't know the age and Twitch fired him (unfairly), part of their agreement could have been to keep that a secret. Maybe, maybe not. We don't know if Doc knew the age. We've got Drake out here messaging teenagers for sure though. We don't know if Doc was messaging a male or female, we don't know if it was, say, a non-sexual rude joke about somebody else, which is technically 'inappropriate' or a sexually motivated dirty comment, and the difference is huge. We know Twitch has strict terms of use concerning grooming, and if Doc was culpable of something seriously bad then how would he win a settlement with them? because they didn't have a clause to terminate the contract under. just like people cannot terminate contracts easily without loads of money, neither can companies. If there were anything relating to this conduct that would allow them to terminate, it would likely not be void if it is outside the statute of limitations. Further, they would have to then go through a costly and lengthy court process in which it would become apparent that Twitch does not effectively screen and moderate content on its site to protect minors. Much easier, and cheaper, to pay him out and keep everyones mouth shut.
Contracts do not terminate outside of terms specified in the contract unless one party is unable to fulfill their end of the transaction, so even if he was found guilty for texting a minor inappropriately, if he wasnt sent to jail they likely *still* don't have an out for the contract.

Talking about unnamed pedos is not near slander, because slander deals with defamatory remarks made against an individual.
Doc admitted to talking inappropriate with a minor, in most jurisdictions in the US, "I didn't know" isn't even a legal defense. The question, of course, is whether or not he knew (which he likely would have said).

Why did Twitch settle rather than run it through the courts instead of paying the man multiple millions of pounds? - Everyone seems so hung up on the allegation, theyve neglected and overlooked some important and crucial aspects of the whole thing. And this isnt a Defense of Doc btw, its just pointing out that, if it was as bad as people are claiming it to be, then why havent we seen legal action taken against him?
One anon twitch employee stated the discussions started between the two about business opportunity and how Doc and his team could help, so thats how it started. It also claims at the TIME Doc didnt know the individuals age (this came later) and again, as ssoon as these "whispers" were investigated, they would have to be passed to the proper authorities, as grooming is a federal offence, and if grooming is a federal offence, and Twitch reported the messages, then why wasnt Doc prosecuted and why did he take Twitch to court and why did Twitch settle?
We live now in an age were the internet has provided everyday people an outlet to point and scream, without any evidence. And this creates a situation where even people who are still not aware of whats went on, and havent seen the evidence, are using this 3rd party, 4th party, 5th party information as Gospel and acting accordingly. 19 year olds are still "technically" teens, but no one considers that to be a commonly used definition. Also, women in their 20s dating men in their 30s is extremely common simply due to the different money/power/status dynamic between the sexes. Nothing weird about it. When you consider the fact that women reach "physchological adulthood" faster than men and that women have to watch their biological clock if they want to have children (most men are fertile well into their 50s, while female fertility drops off a cliff after 35), you have a mix that promotes this diffrential age dynamic even further. 10-15 years of age difference is nothing.

At 36, I seriously dated a 19-year-old, even doing family holiday dinners and more, on both sides. Lasted about a year. Everyone at least tolerated it, some even accepted it graciously. Thing is, I WASN'T MARRIED WITH KIDS.

bruh. Austria it's 14 and can be even 13 if the other person isn't older than 3 years. 12 for sexual acts not amounting to sexual intercourse or other acts that can be equated with sexual intercourse aka penetration. LOL in most european countries it's between 14 and 16.
