i kind of disagree with this video, as i am fairly good at computers, i would like to put out my opinion: 1 if you have a laptop already, make sure that it is stable and does not freeze and you can use that for putting algos and executing trades. next to save money, i would recommend to get a pc built as it is more value for money because a 30k pc would would easily give competition to a 60k laptop, due to the simple reason that laptop at 60k is not really better than a 30-40k pc but due to import taxes and customs costs higher while in a pc taxes on individual parts is less so a pc is cheaper. 2 i don't believe you need to look for next 2-3 years because let's say you start at trading and do not succeed, now that 70k laptop is gonna hurt but a cheaper option will hurt less, and if you become a successful trader, in 2-3 years you should have enough money to buy a very amazing laptop. 3 in pc parts recommnedation, i would say focus less on cpu and more on ram as opening many tabs for trading and different softwares running in background will require much more ram. same with graphics card, a good one will help you run multiple monitors smoothly. a cpu from last 5-7 years should work fine. 4 to save money on monitors, look for old tvs or monitors lying at home as it can save you money and most of them will run with you pc or laptop with cheap adapters.

I don't think those specs will last 3 -5 years. We're in 13 gen Intel CPU, 40 series RTX 40 graphic cards, and laptops with 500 gb SSD don't exist anymore with these kind of laptops
Three more points which can be added with this. 1. Check the keyboard layout. I bought a branded laptop, but the keyboard layout for arrow keys are not to my liking, so i suffered. Make sure keyboard layout is ok for you. 2. Screen resolution should be minimum Full HD (FHD) or more for its native resolution (also called default resolution of the monitor). If you are extending the monitor with another external monitor, most of them will be Wide FHD (which means they have the same screen resolution in height but the length wise longer than FHD. Or you can buy another FHD screen also. If both have same height they will seamlessly integrate for scrolling horizontally. Otherwise screen mismatch will be needed to adjust frequently. 3. Cooling of the laptop. The laptop should have cooling fans setup nicely preferably without much noise, This also important because you may need to run this laptops non-stop for a long time.
technology changing every day , so how can u think about 2, 3 years in future to buy a laptop. i think go with regular i3 5th generation with 8 gb ram is enough. if ur dependence is much higher then go for desktop instead of laptop. end story u need capital for trade, investing in high configuration wont give you much return. once you make good earning then go ahead.

New traders please focus on price action only, dont need to waste money on new laptops or buying high end pc's , trading can be achieve from normal laptop and old configuration pc as well. You can only need min 4gb ram so that tradeview can be work like cream nothing else. i3 4 generation processor is enough to trade.

for professional traders and analyst laptop is not the exact answer but it is professional desktop with graffic card to have nulti moniter . desktop set up give more power in low cost but if the traders travels a lot then laptop is ok
First learn what is treading then earn using your learning then buy what ever you want, it will take minimum two yrs to buy a mouse pad using this right method. This is the real traders will do, if you miss these steps and buy anything, yes anything now, you will disappear soon from the market. For learning do it what ever computer you have now.
My HP DV2000 (Bought in 2006) is still working like a Boss, just 2gb ram but it's more efficient then today's 8gb and I am completely satisfied with HP.

Faster laptop without a faster RAM and SSD might not help... Thats one of the reasons intel has started producing RAM as well with a decent clock speed and SSDs with a decent response time. So those who are looking for a decent config - better to look for something in which all these are in sync (not the clock speed of the CPU). And we can leverage multi-core CPU only if the apprication supports it - else thats also useless.... Now a days all CPUs are coming with more than 1 core... so no comments on that... Talking about SSDs, 256 is more than enough for everyone. If you have more data push the old files to cloud storage or an external HDD My suggestion is - approach a friend who is a hardware engineer or a software engineer - he will help... Dont approach the sales guy at the shop directly...

A fast internet connection & SSD always helpful, or a must. Intel i7, i9 processor & a RAM of 16-what for? This kind of set up is for gamers, I think. Here an Apple quality trackpad or a grerat mouse are wonderful to have. I bought a LG gram 14 incher in full HD, intel i5 Evo, 11th Gen with a great trackpad-I am happy. MS Surface Laptop did not have a matching machine!

I day trade with TOS as my job, I invest with different brokers ect… I have been just using my iPad Pro M1 and my old iMac as just a monitor. I’m looking to switch to a laptop so at home I can have an external monitor plugged into it, with a larger display and then I can take it on the go when needed. It will be better than the ipad with Magic Keyboard for sure. My problem is what laptop to get. I’ve heard Mac’s are great by other day traders, then I’ve read that Mac’s are not good. I’m not sure which is correct. I would like to use a Mac but any help would be greatly appreciated !!! Stay safe all!!
if ur Budget is tight don't buy mid range windows laptops it's heat more and battery backup is'nt good go for a chromebook its cheap and snappy came with touchscreen and long time battery backup
Apple Mac 14-inch for extended battery life with tri screen if your travelling alot. I have 2x ipads also for 5x screens total. Any bigger screens than 14, consume your battery too quickly for those hiking weekends or camping, etc.

I'm Mostly doing Intraday in crude oil futures and I travel a lot .. i place my orders through my phone app...and usually look charts of multiple timeframe in multiple tabs ... recently my old lap got damaged... Great video, but 1 doubt. If I buy an Apple MacBook Air 15” for trading, can I buy Parallels desktop for Mac, to get Windows on it and hence , install all other applications you mentioned like Amibroker, Ninja Trader etc. to have best of both Windows and Apple features ?
For cripto trading I think MacBook is fine,because no need to install outside app only need which exchange app are trading and trading view platform which is available on browsing

screen is small, so it is gonna be a problem and you cannot install much software on it so that's a problem. but sure connect it with a mediumish screen and you should be fine unless it crashes then you are not fine.
