I’m stilling learning was wondering if frozen already What should my settings be and are the settings be side extra dry time same for all fruit initial freeze time, extra freeze time, temp and last extra dry time Sorry, stickler for details
Have you done a video on when a desiccant pack would be used instead or in addition to an oxygen absorber for things you will be opening in near-future or opening over and over again such as snacks?
Things that I use for short term get put into mason jars. If I need to make them a last a little longer, I vacuum seal them. I don't ever use desiccant packets. I just haven't found the need.

I take a mandolin, stop when I see the core, turn the pear etc. Saves a step...freeze dried pears are wonderful !
Pears are on my to do list and I can hardly wait to freeze dry them. My grandchildren think that pears are the "bomb". Thank you for sharing.
They will love these!
Used to pick lots of these pears also dehydrated them and just taste like candy. The D is silent so called Anjou.
Your projects inspire me. The slices are processed so easily. Good job!
Great to hear! Happy Freeze Drying!
Strawberries are in season. Washed, hulled, sliced and into the freeze drier.
