The Victorian's craftsmen understood that engineering should also be beautiful. You are returning to that belief. Great work and video. Number two for the light BTW.
@ 12:34 When cutting Glass;... After scoring the top with your cutter;... tap from underneith;... The shock from tapping will follow the score line above;... break more cleanly
You should have a TV show, this was so much better than most shows on the Discovery channel, great work, i like this way of filming too, just the odd input from you, great job
I don’t know how or what you earn, but, it’s not enough. The workmanship and detail is wonderful. Do preservation societies know about you ? They should be breaking your door down begging you to work for them . Number 1 or 5 for me
Also, it’s so good seeing you use all the things you’ve struggled to build and make. The workshop the workbench the power for the tools all there by skill and sweat - now there is scope for real craftsmanship on a smaller scale.
A very nice build there Kris, I love the addition of the candler at the side. The wood from those old sleepers, wow, that jarrah looks so good when waxed up. Looking forward to seeing the results of your hard labour when they hatch. Best eco friendly, home building, woodworking, tech show on UA-cam...keep up the good work and enjoy the lifestyle matey...double thumbs up on the video!
The lime wash on the walls certainly makes the room much brighter. Your project shows that things can be highly functional and still be very well made and quite beautiful. Thank you for that reminder!
Wow - this is absolutely incredible! It's apparent how much effort you put into this - and to get the material from railroad sleeper ties. Great use - and lovely wood grain and patina with the oil. Great strong joints. You must have your reasons, but PLEASE wear eye protection. As to the color, I like #2. Thanks for sharing this heirloom creation! Perfect for a small flock! Right on!
I use to raise EMU . They take 59 days to hatch and in n.c. you have to remove humidity from the air too much for them. No matter how bad you want to help a bird hatch, DO NOT! Theirs nothing sadder than the bird tearing the umbilical cord and dying in your hands! Theirs a reason it won't hatch. I have helped several , most all didn't end well, a few did but...I had a contract in Oklahoma, I was air mailing baby emu from n.c. to o.k. overnight with no problems.i have also raised about everything that flies crawls or hops. I paid 600 us for my incubator and I use to joke around that I could hatch a rock Very nice high quality work sir!
I sort of made a very similar design at a larger scale for my beer fermentation cellar. It’s a large sealed box with the temp control system mounted to the side. I always regretted not making the overall chamber just a touch bigger to allow the control system to fit with the overall size of the box, instead of being a smaller box on the side that sort of sticks out. Absolutely loved the hinge concept though. Brilliant.
Go Kris. Excellent craftsmanship. I’m recommending your videos as inspiration for people out there who are confused with life and meaning. I really, really, really mean that. Fantastic incubator by the way. Your attitude to life seemingly creates abundance and treasure of the heart. Unstoppable. Personally, we don’t watch much tv, but I encourage my three boys, Hugh 9, Lucas 7 and Will 6, to tune into your channel. You may not know it, but I reckon you’re one of the best teachers out there for real living. We live off the grid in Australia. At the moment I’m fencing and getting some metal work stuff happening. Thanks for your videos. They are a great source of motivation. Kind Regards, Rohan
All i can say is Kris your a Perfectionist with the wood work you do. and the skill at putting your hands to anything that you need. and making it all work for you there are not many young persons who can do what you do. keep it up you should be proud of what you can do and i Congratulate you for doing so
My dog once sniffed out a pheasants nest with eggs in that we put in a incubator and had 6 that hatched but they were completely wild so they got released, love the lights really cool build!
Colour 2 IMHO. Almost forgot to say ... as always, excellent content all round - skills on display, relaxed and happy narration and a complete unit of work.
love the darker sections of grain through the hatching drawer, another fine piece of work kris! look forward to seeing the first batch! feelin the raver chicken light too
Nice build Kris. Suggestion: Carnauba wax applied to wood slideways (Hatching drawer?) will allow them to slide like butter and they will last forever.
Number 2! I love watching your projects come to life. I sit here grinning, as it all takes shape. Great view through the window of the man cave to the outdoors from the main workshop. And is that a model of a barn sitting on the workbench?
Well done. Seems to hit all the marks you set out for and it looks nice as a bonus. I’m partial to the red light. It just looks more like an incubator with red light glowing out of it. Keep up the good work!
Colour number 2, and I would have left it as a toilet seat/egg. Great project, fun to watch. I also enjoy spotting your new workshop toys, like the bandsaw and the tig welding plant which I hadn't noticed before. Its good to see you enjoying your new 3 phase supply.
Absolutely brilliant, Now make a beehive for the garden ready for when your fruit trees grow, should get a bigger harvest as the bees do their work all over.
Awesome job Kris, I really love the kind of steam punky feel your handmade stuff has. In a world where everything's made to be cheap and disposable, it must make you feel good to have the ability to produce custom one off items that will either last a life time or you can easily repair yourself.
Kris, when cutting glass, a little oil on your cutter does wonders... give it a try next time. You can also, score using the oil, run your cut off of the glass, and hit the cut briefly with a propane torch, and it will break your glass along the score.
I had a good laugh over the egg shape and then yes it hit me it looked like a toilet seat. I would have left it LOL All around a really nice job. But you are really a great craftsman. I always enjoy your channel. Now to see some chicks
Excellent craftsmanship, but... The important thing in incubators is the percentage of hatching. The shape is important, but not the most important as the percentage of hatching. There are many basic technical factors that you did not consider (fatal errors) such as ventilation, thermal dynamic stability, etc... Though the most important thing is that you incubate and publish the results. Thanks for the excellent effort.
Kris, no se si entiendas lo que escribo pero me agrada ver tus vídeos me siento más impulsado a seguir buscando formas alternas sin dañar tanto el planeta. Saludos y que la pases bien con toda tu familia 👍
Again brilliant video. Would be nice to hear you explain some of the things your doing just basics would be good. Was that bees wax you was using on the wood? Do you have a backup poster Supply in case of power loss, from solar etc? Thanks
Brilliant, be nice to see how you get on with incubating eggs. If it’s a good success rate you could make and sell these. Controlling the humidity and having a consistent heat is hard. Be good if you could top up the water without opening it, to help temperature and humidity fluctuations. Wood work is top notch.
Excellent craftsmanship! Beautiful and Functional!! Even in our high tech world we don't need a Arduino for everything :) I agree with you using discrete timers and switches. Under moist conditions like an incubator it will probably give less trouble!
My word! I have yet to see anyone as creative as you. I wish I could purchase one of your incubators. Sadly, being here in the 🇺🇸 it makes that a bit difficult. My chicks are nearly full grown. I would like to one day hatch a brood of my own. Someday perhaps.
Lad the attention to detail is just stunning. Honestly one of the best craftsmanship channels on UA-cam glad everything going good for you Kris 👍
This is the Rolls Royce of incubators !!!
The blue light makes it look like you're incubating velociraptors in some sort of Jurassic Park type lab.
Next video, some sort of dinochick hatched
Guess why I call my neighbour's chickens our "pack of velociraptors"... 🐓🦖😆
Velosochickns and #9!! 😆
Wow I’ve been watching since you first started with and empty piece of land, you my friend are a very determined and talented young man.
FOR SURE, MICK FROM UK
Itu untuk telur ayam bisa dak
Another heirloom made...it'll be usable for donkeys years. Beautifully done as per Kris. 🤗🥳
PS. now attach Classic FM audio to sooth them. 🥰😂
🇬🇧 Has to be Mozart. Warm colours. Blue/green look creepy.
They wont want to hatch out. Too palacial.
That has got to be the worlds most beautiful incubator! I reckon colour 2 & 3 look good
The Victorian's craftsmen understood that engineering should also be beautiful. You are returning to that belief. Great work and video. Number two for the light BTW.
what a masterclass of many skills, so many strings to the harbour bow, dudes a freakin genius
@ 12:34 When cutting Glass;...

a touch of water on the score is also helpful

I like the voice over in this video.
Kris your ability to produce art and function makes my heart happy..love this
I love the calmness of your videos, you tell us what we need to know, no stupid music usually, you have a very practical way of doing things.
I don’t know how or what you earn, but, it’s not enough. The workmanship and detail is wonderful. Do preservation societies know about you ? They should be breaking your door down begging you to work for them .
Number 1 or 5 for me
I absolutely agree 100%
Number 1 or 12. I told my husband this looked like an antique from the future, just incredible. Hello from Texas!
The items that you have created never cease to amaze me. I love watching you build.
Also, it’s so good seeing you use all the things you’ve struggled to build and make. The workshop the workbench the power for the tools all there by skill and sweat - now there is scope for real craftsmanship on a smaller scale.
Yup, toilet seat, we all thought the same thing. :-) Beautiful toilet seat, those wood colors, wow.
A very nice build there Kris, I love the addition of the candler at the side. The wood from those old sleepers, wow, that jarrah looks so good when waxed up. Looking forward to seeing the results of your hard labour when they hatch.

I’d actually buy one of these!
Side business Kris. Whoop

Very nice high quality work sir!
When your incubator has better RGB than my PC
I prefer number 2, looks more natural and warm! Good job that man
What can I say !!!!! I got lost after you cut out the boards?!?!
True craftsman.
Superb Kris
Why make something functional when you can also make it beautiful. You are gifted
Unbelievable Kris, you are a master of all construction projects, large or small, what a talent you have.
Light colors 2, 10, and 11, are neat.
That's some mighty fine wood craftsmanship. I'm routinely impressed by your projects.
Man that thing is more complicated and better built than a Ferrari. You should sell them. Loved it.
What a beautiful bit of workmanship. Love that sleeper wood. Should never need another one of those in your life time maybe new wire on occasion.
I sort of made a very similar design at a larger scale for my beer fermentation cellar. It’s a large sealed box with the temp control system mounted to the side. The best lubricant for wood on wood is an ordinary white paraffin wax candle rubbed on the surface beeswax is too sticky .Great project well executed

Those untreated sleepers are a great source for lumber. It looks great Kris. Wonderful job!
Man this is "eggcellent"... Cheers!
LOL,LOL, UK
It had to be done ahahaha
This video was very eggucational 😁😆😆😆😛
I'm one minute in and already liking the talk over during the sawing scenes. The narration works, would like more of it if convenient.

Beautiful Kris,, just like everything else you build,, perfect joints ,, as you'd say lovely!! aloha
Colour 2 IMHO. Almost forgot to say ... as always, excellent content all round - skills on display, relaxed and happy narration and a complete unit of work.
Nice job Chris. There are fully automatic ones available. They are called Hens.
I couldn’t agree more. I guess Kris was not born in wooden box under disco lights. I guess they are only animals so it doesn’t matter....
You sir have some serious woodworking skills. Thanks for sharing.
Top draw crafting with so much attention to detail.Simply stunning Kris!
A nice heated toilet seat to eliminate that 5 am ice cold agony Lol. Superb craftsmanship
12...once again Kris - outstanding piece of woodwork and electronics with a very practical use. Well done!
love the darker sections of grain through the hatching drawer, another fine piece of work kris! look forward to seeing the first batch! feelin the raver chicken light too
Well done, I don’t know where you learned all that but wow.
You are a carpenter. You did a great job. Thanks Glenn
Stunning work Kris,, clever stuff!
Oh and 1
@@penrhiwoutdoors8629 oh yeah I forgot about that too....1 or 2
Nice build Kris. Suggestion: Carnauba wax applied to wood slideways (Hatching drawer?) will allow them to slide like butter and they will last forever.
Just stumbled on your videos and thoroughly enjoying catching up on your journey. Love the beautiful woodwork you do.
Just Brilliant;... A joy to watch from start to completion;...
Kris, I'm so in awe of the talent you have, you're amazing! I like lights 2 and 12
That has to be the most beautiful incubator I’ve ever seen. Kris you are an artist and a genius 👍🏻
An absolute work of art! You could sell those for a fortune.
Looked like a langstroth deep hive body up until 6:55. That's better than any incubator I've seen. Very nice.
Colour 1. Really a great piece of craftsmanship.. well done matey.
not just an incubator but a priceless furniture.
You are a very talented and gifted person. God bless you Chris
Your amazing nothing stops you turning your hands to anything.
That’s a very classy incubator, it’s beautiful - everything you make is!
So empowering when you can build your own incubator after an inferior eBay one disappoints. Every man needs this setup at home.
Another project to put on your sales production list Kris bloody marvellous
Number 2! I love watching your projects come to life. I sit here grinning, as it all takes shape. Great view through the window of the man cave to the outdoors from the main workshop. And is that a model of a barn sitting on the workbench?
absolutely brilliant. from discarded sleeper to a piece of art that will boost your chicken production! well done sir.
Your knowledge and your woodworking skills are fabulous. Beautiful cabinet
I'm in awe of your craftsmanship, amazing work!
Always impressed with your workmanship. Enjoyed the upbeat of how you did this video, still like details in other video's as well. 👍

Brilliant piece of craftsmanship. Well done
1 and 12. Beautifully designed and perfectly executed. I really enjoyed the project. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe my friend.
No 2 for me, another superb job. Watching you has made me expect more from myself whilst making/building things, thank you.
That is the most beautiful incubator I've ever seen
Workshop looking amazing Kris. You seem well set up to handle this sort of project and it shows, nicely done. J
Well done. Seems to hit all the marks you set out for and it looks nice as a bonus. I’m partial to the red light. It just looks more like an incubator with red light glowing out of it. Keep up the good work!

Unbelievably beautiful. A true craftsman at work. Well done!
Kris, your talents are endless!
Carpentry work is amazing Kris, you are quickly becoming a jack of all trades. You should sell your design plans!. I like light #1. Have a great week.
Awesome. what a range of skills you have demonstrated here.
That wood is gorgeous.
I choose color number 3, and look forward to seeing baby chicks in your new hatching tray!
Wow you have mad skills!!! You made it look so easy and I love the dark purple colors..i can't wait to see these chickens by born!!!!
Absolutely brilliant, Now make a beehive for the garden ready for when your fruit trees grow, should get a bigger harvest as the bees do their work all over.

By far the best night club for hatching chickens I have ever seen and it is not event closed during coronavirus...

Those chicks will be hatching in style. Serious cabinetry there, man!
Another cracking job, your hatchability just went up to 85 -90%. I like number two for the light colour. all the best.
Again brilliant video. Would be nice to hear you explain some of the things your doing just basics would be good.

Excellent.
The 12 lights are all good one for each month.
#9, that was an amazing job Kris!
That is one beautiful egg hatching cabinet!
I really enjoyed watching?
I'm wondering about oxygen. Since the box looks well sealed. Is fresh air needed at some point?
I looked it up and it does need fresh air. 7000 pores in the egg shell allows the exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
