@ShahPhilLeotardo what's wrong with Lineker? I actually like him iv watched him take piss out of united and I support united it didn't make me dislike him infact all 3 say bads things about united I don't dislike any of them
Listening to Gary speak about his playing days makes you understand why he was such a great striker, he thought about the game in a different way, which gave him the edge against defenders, aided by his speed and agility.
Watching these videos brings me so much joy. After being "down" these 3 never fail to lift my spirits back up. I also thoroughly enjoyed when Howard Webb was on, and would love to see more guests in a more relaxed manner. The behind the scenes stories are great!
He was a one-off for sure. I laughed at Gary Lineker's story where it went from call me Brian to call me Mr Clough. He did this once at a press conference where a journalist addressed him as Brian and he replied "it's Mr Clough to you". The next journo addressed him as Mr Clough and he said "please, call me Brian".
Match of the day needs more of this personality about it. By comparison it’s really dry. This is really fun to listen too. Subbed, keep it coming fellas.
Ah Neil Armstrong dead. The Carlos Alberto clip is still one of the funniest things I've ever watched. Shearer nearly dying of laughter when he fell on the floor.
This is brilliant fellas, I really like the camaraderie, the tempo, and as an Arsenal fan, I especially loved Gary and Alan's responses on the dark arts!
it's so nice after all these years to actually get Gary's proper opinions on stuff... always had to have some degree of impartiality it's great to hear his actual views on stuff
Think all 3 rule changes are spot on & would make the game much better for fans & players & far less frustrating. Personally think i preffered the old offside rule too when if your offside your offside. Alot of the ‘’ inactive ‘’ offside players are still causing the defenders to have to think about them & therefore active in the play imo.
I agree, it's another example of bringing subjectivity into the decision. At which point does a player go from being active to inactive? I might be in an offside position on the opposite side of the pitch when a ball is played to you, so I'm deemed to be inactive, but if a defender moves out to cover me surely I'm active as I'm influencing the move.
Watching this whilst travelling on the train, & I'm getting some right looks off of the other passengers wondering what the hell I'm smiling and laughing at! 😂 This is by far my new favourite podcast. Well done, chaps 👏🏾
Pat partridge!-I can't help thinking of a penalty he gave for forest against Liverpool in the league cup final, funny how things stick in your mind, I know nothing else about him!-meant so much at the time
Alan with the daffodils in Amsterdam...lol...😂😂😂 U 3 are so funny and the chemistry between u all is top level fairplay 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😂😂😂 Keep these podcasts coming thick and fast lads 😍😍😍⚽️⚽️⚽️
Agree Gary... All attacking players behind the ball/ freekick are on side... Eliminates allowing the opp to set and reform.. Totally destroys the advantage and consequence to the opp.. Good call... And great show Boys - Vinny West Yorks
By far the best Ref for the banter was v4 these Guys and it was Headmaster Gordon Hill, who was very down to earth and told the players exactly what he thought.
Hi there, from Malta. Simply awesome podcast - the cheerful Micah, the more subtle Lineker and the slightly more rough Shearer - the perfect balance, the three Musketeers. Question: do you think that clubs should invest more in their academies and use their players? In other words, should for example the FA impose that each starting 11 should have at least 3 players coming from the academy. I think this would surely limit the spending and would result in a better national team eventually.
Hi guys great podcast never fail to crack me up. Gary this one’s probably for you I’m a Leicester fan and just got my season ticket back. What do you think to the season so far and the football we are playing under enzo? Would you want anymore signings to come through the door and who?
Alan's comment about the ref giving players stick in return reminded me of a couple of incidents from when I posted Saturday morning football in a local church league. We lined up ready to kick off for the second half of a game but the other team were still off the pitch and I jokingly said to the ref "come on, kick it off now mate" and he just turned and looked at me and said "you'd still f***ing miss!" 😆 we had another ref who worked with the wife of our team captain and whenever he reffed our games, he would try and find any excuse he could find to give our captain a yellow card, just to wind him up. It's good when refs are like that and show their human sides and can have a laugh with players.
Remember at Villa Park one time Phil Dowd having a dismal game and got the classic “You’re not fit to referee chant” from the Holte. He waved his finger at us like a conductor. Fair enough really. Doubt a ref would get away with that now.
I played in a match once where, following our striker missing an open goal, the ref showed him a yellow card. "What's that for ref?" - "Missing that open goal" - I love a good referee with that sense of humour. (The booking wasn't posted and we killed ourselves laughing, both sides!).
@restisfootball what is the most bizarre thing you have ever seen happen on the pitch during a game, either as a player or a pundit. Ps. Loving the podcast all the way from Australia, keep up the banter!

Excellent podcast. I really laughed at the Brian Clough story.
I'm yet to be disappointed when it comes to Brian Clough ❤
This content feels like the content they were all born to do, love it fellas 👏
19:49 spot on Gary, free kicks give an advantage to the defensive team which is ridiculous
