This is a great pattern; just made two aprons with fabrics from my stash, one for me and one for my daughter in law. I 'm so glad Nancy' s site is still going strong and her legacy is being kept alive.
What pattern is this? Where can I purchase it?
What a beautiful idea “tie one on”! Beautiful tribute to a lovely lady. Loved watching Sewing with Nancy with my mom.❤
Missing Nancy; appreciating your video and the continuity of Nancy's Caring teaching methods/ideas. Neat apron! Danielle
Hi Danielle,
Thank you for your kind words and watching the video. We will always remember Nancy and keep her spirit alive and in our hearts as we continue to make videos.
I love an apron, this design is great, no tangles in the washing machine. I loved the way Nancy made sewing so enjoyable and easy to learn. Thank you Nancy I miss you, my sincere condolences to her family.
Hi Fidele O'Riordan,
Glad you like the apron! We miss Nancy too. Thank you for watching and commenting. :)
@@NancysNotions yo era gran admiradora, de. Nancy siempre miraba, sus videos aunque , no sabia ingles pero los disfrutaba
Beautiful! I love the way you used two colours and a two-layers design. Thank you for the tutoral.
Oh how I miss watching Sewing with Nancy , love this video very kind spoken instructions . Reminds me of Nancy , thank you for posting this I am sharing on my Facebook page because you are an inspiration dear 👍🏼
I have this pattern and have made many, many of theset one time and leave opening day leave to sell. I do it a little different and I like it better and it’s easier. I attach piece of band to back so the straps come across the shoulders to the front of top. This way you can add pretty buttons. You can stitch totally around everything and leave an opening for turning. This pattern is really a blessing!
How did you get the pattern?
I keep getting 404 error, page not found?!?
Made this apron tonight after ordering the pattern online. It was fun to make and super easy. Not an advanced seamstress by any means so was happy that this video was available for backup. Didn't need pockets which made the project a lot easier.
How do I order that pattern?
The comments almost all mention how to we miss Nancy. Thank you for continuing her instructions; I have been hoping for this. I see that it is a Mary Mulari pattern; and have wondered about her also. Thank you.
I absolutely Love this video. I have tried to find an apron like this for ages as the tie ones hurt my fibromyalgia and these do not. Thank you SO VERY much and yes, I am so very sorry for your loss . We were all blessed by her.Now it is handed off to you guys to be "the light".
Hi webbsway,
We are glad you like the video and this style apron! Thank you so much for your kind words! We will carry Nancy's spirit with us in our hearts as we continue to make new videos. :)
This is by far the best video for this apron pattern.
I have this pattern and as a new sewer, finding this video, make the task at hand so much more enjoyable…..watched it a few times while putting it together.
What a loving tribute to Nancy. It must have been with heavy heart and challenging episode to present. God bless you all, Nancy must be grinning from ear to ear in heaven, perfectly restored ♥️
I am sure that Nancy is smiling recognizing the love and concern, that has gone into this gift!
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you Momzilla, we hope with our hearts she is smiling at all of us. :)
I was very excited to get this apron pattern. I am so glad I did a test for fit before cutting my fabric. It is NOT made for plus size figures! If you are plus size it will take more than 1 yard of each fabric unless the fabric is 60" wide.
Where did you get your pattern from?
Hi Linda, any advice on what you did to fit the pattern for plus size? Thank you!
You can buy the pattern here. craftygemini.com/shop/crisscross-reversible-apron-pattern/
I love this apron and the idea about giving bread.
Hi Nancy,
Glad you like it! Thank you for watching :)
This is the best cross over apron on the internet.Thank You.
Also a very good idea for Christmas presents, and birthdays too.
Hi Kenneth,
Yes! You are right :) Thank you for watching and commenting!
Purchased this pattern and love it. I have made many of these from this pattern. Only uses one yard without lining. Lining makes it much nicer. I rounded the corners on the back. This pattern is genius!
Joyce England - do you happen to know where I can find this exact pattern? I have used the links and it says it isn't there. I go to the website and it doesn't show it there either. :(
I got it on their website. Nancy’s Notions. Good luck
Thank you . I got a pattern from another video but she never showed how to do the shoulders, You made it so easy
I’ve made 9 of these aprons, but still enjoyed the video. I earned so much from Nancy ZIeman and have a dozen of her books.
Phyllis Loudiana no no
Hi Phyllis,
That's wonderful you have made so many of the aprons! Thank you for watching the video and commenting.:)
Sorry to hear about Nancy
Do you know how to get and download the pattern. Thanks
Awesome video tutorial...I just purchased the pattern...I love your flower fabric! It's so pretty... Thank you for a great tutorial!
Absolutely beautiful and such beautiful material s too nice to wear as an apron to be honest
Thank you continuing Nancy's Legacy.
Thank you for showing this! I bought this pattern many years ago. I made one for my niece, a head start teacher, and she’s worn a hole on the tummy. She wants more! I can find my pattern (I traced it), but not the directions. I remember it being really confusing and really never wanted to make any more. You’ve made this SO simple! Thanks again!
I have seen so many variation fo this apron, this is so cool, thank you
I have been looking for this pattern. Thank you. And the video was perfect.
I just bought this pattern and am so excited to make it. Thanks for the great instructions.

Kate Snave hi! I don't. But I will try to make one. Let's see how it plays out. Eventually, I will be able to purchase one from Nancy's website. But I guess it will be a good exercise to try making the pattern.
Sabrina Norbert Sabrina I could see if I could find a pattern for you and mail it to you.😁😁

I liked your criss cross apron and I would like a copy of your apron
dankjewel,dit ga ik doen
👍
that was great but it would have been nice that after you put it on we could see the entire finished apron front and back on you.
If you go to web site it shows it
I went to web site and did not see apron, I to would have liked to see it full size.
I’m having difficulties with this pattern. The sides don’t wrap around and the adjustments I made don’t seem to help. Do you have any tips? Kind of seems like this pattern is only meant for small people. Not average size people.
I am trying to find the name of the pressing ruler used in the video at 5:57 for hemming the apron while ironing.
My body shape is pretty much round plus I’m short- anyone have advice on adjusting pattern for this “malady”?
I'm making this crisscross apron now, but I don't understand why the bottom is left open. It seems so unfinished. I saw they are suggesting using the bottom to carry vegetables or weeds etc, but I think I will topstitch the 2 fabrics together at the bottom.
Nancy, how did closing the bottom of the Crisscross Apron go? I just got this pattern and was thinking the same thing about how the bottom is left open.
EDIT: I've already sewn mine without leaving the bottom hem open, and it turned out fine. I just left an opening at the bottom so I could turn it all out, and closed that opening during topstitching.
@@sandys792 The bottom hem does not need to be left open for the apron to be reversible. Do you have this pattern? The pattern explains why it is left open, but most of us don't need that function in the kitchen. I've already made a crisscross apron with a closed bottom hem, and it is still reversible. I just left several inches open to turn it all out. I closed that opening during topstitching.

She does sew the bottom hems together (6:48); it appears to be edgestitching, although it's hard to tell.
i like it❤, but unfortunately you there is no size of the pattern

The pattern can be altered for different sizes and the pattern designer (Mary Mulari) explains in the instructions with the pattern.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you! I was trying to find the pattern also. I just ordered mine.
Not found on the website.....page no longer available
Hi Kate! Can you tell me if the front and back layers of the apron hem can be sewn closed together instead of sewing separately a 1/2 inch all the way around (I’d like to to sew closed front and back fabric at the hem leaving about a 2 inch gap open to turn the apron inside out)? I don’t want the two contrasting fabric layers of the hem left open at the bottom like the look of a slip, make sense?
She does sew the bottom hems together (6:48); it appears to be edgestitching, although it's hard to tell.
