I'm so glad I found this video. We have a double bag and being able to snap them together is clutch. The budget brands make me nervous. I'm glad to see ignik making this.
I have the same RTT as you and the Ignik blanket. I don't have the mat. I haven't seen a need for it. I put the Flipside over a fleece blanket. Set the Flipside for 60 and stay very warm during the night. It was 31 degrees this morning and I was very comfortable with this setup. I run my Flipside on a Jackery 500 and it will use about 13% for 10 hours. I have my RTT mounted on an 8 foot utility trailer and pull it with a Jeep Wrangler. I love this setup. Set up camp and I have my Jeep to explore in without having to break camp.
I do love a good heated blanket. I generally like my diesel heater in winter just because it completely prevents condensation and also gives you a warm place to change and move around once you get out from under the covers, but a heated blanket and a decent sleeping bag work great and avoid a lot of the complexity of diesel heaters. Sometimes I don't feel like messing with fuel and setup and tear down of the diesel heater so I'll just bring a heated blanket and call it a day, :D.
What happened to the Zonli one you reviewed? Seems like it has less power requirements than the Ignik one? Can you comment on whether you think the Zoneli one is a good fit for winter camping?
The Zonli is great for winter camping. Still have it and actually took my kids camping last night and they used it. I think the biggest difference is that the Zonli, having it's own battery is super convenient if you don't have or don't want to mess with a big power bank. If you have a dual battery or a larger power bank and want to not have to worry about how long you can run it, then the Ignik might make more sense.

Glad it was helpful! Ignik makes some solid stuff for sure.
Been hearing great things about this bed mat. I Just ordered one to use this winter!
They’re nice!

Bet one of those would work great in your hammock
I think both together would be better, :D!

On the lowest setting, do both of them provide enough heat for you to sleep all night in 20-30 degree conditions?
@ yep. I generally keep them in the lowest to stretch how long they’ll run and with a good sleeping bag, it super comfy.
