  • Our Mitsubishi L200 (2.5TD Pick Up K74 4D56) AKA "Murdock" 's drums are not 100% - so follow my step by step guide to a simple DIY service and replacement.
    We love off road - so join our adventures as we prepare our vehicles in the workshop and drive the tracks here in the stunning Algarve region of Portugal.

    Dad banging in the background. Vaguely remember hearing that in the 70's. Come to think of it we had a lot of pampas grass in the front garden.

    Unfortunately my handbrake cable was back to the way it was. Nice amd tight, i pulled to hard and it snapped

      @@DrivenMadShow further investigation, it didn't, taking off the lever cover the nuts had back off almost to the end, tightening them up the handbrake is good again

    If this doesn't work when I try and change my rear breaks, I'm not gonna be a happy bunny. Sadly different Mitsubishi so not surprised if it wont work lol

    That piece is a self adjuster it's purpose is not to keep it from turning backwards

    only bit I need to know is how to shrink it down ?? u cut that out?

      At 7:07 you can see the bar iam installing. The notched wheel can be turned to adjust the brake shoes as it is on a thread. Hope this helps 👍

    Hi! What size bolt is this that I need? Id assume theyre all the same i am trying to remove and replace a 1989 L200 brakes

      Poor memory, its a while ago, I think they were M8ś ... but no money being placed on my answer 🫤 ( sorry )

      @@DrivenMadShow Thank you. They were M8s. Just need a hand trying to change them! Do you know if the springs for the brakes are universal? I bought a kit set but the long springs were not a part of that

      @@916jarvis Lucky guess :) - we ordered the springs, just use the old ones me thinks - bit of a clean with some ACF50 or alike, good to go !
