Thx for doing a video about saint Paisios.
Love from Greece orthodox brother. We will travel to heaven together
Κυριε, δοξασμενο το ονομα Σου, εις παντας τους αιωνας! Τις πρεσβειες σου Αγιε του Θεου, υπερ ολοκληρης της ανθρωποτητας.
I went on a roadtrip with a couple of acquaintances in 1996 and we visited St. Paisios' gravesite at Souroti Monestary. Barely speaking Greek at the time, I was understandably clueless about the details. I was ignorant. The lines of people weren't long back then. I knelt down next to the graveside and began weeping, without cause seemingly. I'm still astounded when I think of it.
This is better than anything on NPR.
My father met St. Paisios years back, and Geronda Paisios helped my father overcome his grief over the death of his Yiayia.
I wish my father was alive when he was canonized a saint a few year back. I hope that one day Geronda Ephraim of Arizona will be canonized, another man who helped people through God's grace.
One of my priests met St. Paisios in the early 90s. A few years before the saint passed away. He said he knew who my priest was & they talked a little bit about my priest's past. The saint also knew the hardship my priest went through because he faced difficulties for trying to build an Orthodox parish where some people around him thought negatively about Orthodoxy. My priest cried & he asked St. Paisios to pray for him.
1:14 tangalahska? That sounded russian 😃. Jokes aside, it is "tangalaki". Means something small that is swift in movement and that jumps around.
nice, thanks. i am new to orthodoxy and this is so informative, lets get these stories out there! One tipp: Maybe a little slower speaker if possible?

Perfect for my drive into work this morning, brought me to tear up. Lord have mercy on us! St Paisios pray for us.
Went to Souroti and Mt. Athos’ kelia of St. Paisios a couple years back. That place feels like it was once a very important and life-changing place for many. It feels like when you visit some monuments of architecture and you can just feel the presence of those times. The same feeling, but in a more spiritual way was felt by me when i visited St. Paisios kelion close to Kutlumush monastery.
A very heart-felt story about St. Paisios that stood by me till this day is the one that goes like this. A man whose wife was in her last stage of metastatic cancer, once visited St. Paisios to ask for prayers for his very ill wife. When the man arrived St. Paisios usually would know everything about his visitors and the reason behind why they were visiting him. St. Paisios immediately fell to his knees and started praying for that man’s wife and shortly after the visitor joined the prayer too. When suddenly in the middle of the prayer, St. Paisios said this phrase: Oh Theotokos if it is possible for you to remove the cancer from this mans’ wife and please if it is possible to give it to us and continue to pronounce both of their names. At which the man suddenly stood up and said that he didnt really imagined the prayer like that, he was scared and didn’t want to get ill instead of his wife. To which St. Paisios allowed the man to wait until his prayer was finished. Later, it was known that the wife of that man was cured from cancer, but St. Paisios never stopped to pray to Theotokos to get cancer himself because he wanted to die from cancer. This was an early sign of a Saint on earth, choosing the hard path for the sins of other people instead.
Hristos Anesti brothers and sisters!

Is this the new Vegas narrator?
Yep
Who read this? AI?
Joshua Graham from Fallout New Vegas.
@@narcisraiciu6919 this isn’t Joshua Graham
@@Dimitri7771 literally used AI voice of Joshua Graham. OMS admits it.
@@narcisraiciu6919 I am sorry but this is not the same voice as Joshua Graham. This sounds like the New Vegas Narrator. You can clearly hear the difference in the two videos
@@narcisraiciu6919 for the nicene creed at least yes but this voice is not the Joshua Graham voice
This is like lore out of Elder Scrolls/Oblivion.
