    • @ThePanHoo

@@oreshek-uq3rn what Oleg - not an orc but a Viking konung - has in common with the state of Moskovia, the capital of which was founded 300 years after he became the ruler of Kyiv? The same Moskovia that then burnt Novgorod to the ground and killed its elites, btw.
Both Novgorod and Kyiv were conquered by Moskovia later on, but the state tradition of Russia was inherited from Moskovia and not from Rus that passed its written language, traditions, and law to the Kingdom of Lithuania.
It's absurd to say that Rus is the same as Russia or that the middle age state of Novgorod is same Russia. I'm not saying that Ukraine = Rus too. There wasn't neither Russia nor Ukraine at the time of the Kyivan Rus.
Yet if one state conquers another one it doesn't let them steal their history. The fact that Bolgaria was conquered by Turks doesn't make Bolgaria the same as Turkey.
      Stop your propagandistic nonsense.

    • @oreshek-uq3rn
      @oreshek-uq3rn Рік тому +8

@@ThePanHoo but he behaved himself literally like ruzzian soldiers, who took Finno-Ugoric tribes (prototype of modern combat Buryats) and literally invaded ancient-Ukrainian Kyiv, overthrew the legitimate rulers. After Oleg said "This city will be the mother of Russian cities". So he decided to conquere city, which belonged to other nation, errased their heritage, for his imperialistic purpose (better land for agriculture). Doesn't he remind you someone on letter "P", who lives right now?
There are way more ancient cities, Ladoga for instance. It was founded in 753.
Also, do you know such things as feodal wars? That was what happened between Russian principalities, including Novgorod and Moscow.
Also, Poles and Lituhanians didn't know, anything about "ukrainians", only Russians figured in theit documents. Lvov was the capital of Vojevodstvo Russkoye, not Ukrainskoye.
Why you say Russia is not Rus, while Rossia is literally Rus, but helenified, while Ukraine is "suburb" from Russian? In Middle Ages no one knew about "Kievian Rus", which is just a scientific term invented in middle of 19th century to distinguish political powers, (Terms as Vladimir-Suzdal Rus, Chervonnaya Rus, and like it or not, Moscow Rus existed as well) but there was word Russia and its variations depending on the place.

      2) in old russian Kyev
      3) ukraine in old russian means outskirts. Rus' came from Novgorod.

This would be like a Portuguese arguing that north western Orthodox Visigoth were already distinct from southern Visigoths (which became Spain) 100 years before the Saracen invasion. This is an obsessive, irrational distinction born of the unbrotherly and unchristian SIN of Vendetta, of blood feud, one that even now temps fools to meddle with the “Unforgivable Word” as CS Lewis metaphorically called it.
