you are so right Penny, when grieving to seek others, friends family and new friends. My husband passed last Jan 2021 age 52 and I am determined not to wallow. I work fulltime, raise our 17 yo daughter, joined a book club, a knitting club, and increased my charity efforts to make knit hats, shawls and lap blankets. And newest and closest to my heart, knitting baby hats, cuddle pockets, and burial gowns for Parents grieving loss of Stillborn child. In my grief helping others through their grief. You channel brightens my day, thank you for sharing and the efforts you put in. So nice to meet you and Pete and Mum. ~ A Friend in Pennsylvania
I was so sorry to hear the news of your husband. It sounds as if you have a very busy life now looking after yourself, your daughter and reaching out to friends and family. You're right, crafting in a way to help others is special and helps us all.
Oh penny I can’t believe I’ve found your blog just when I needed someone , I know it’s not like having coffee and a chat but you’re just such good company. My husband has just got over cancer and has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. So I have to be around quite a lot , which of course I don’t mind at all .i have 3 children and 7 grandchildren and I feel I’m always juggling. I have a couple of friends who are in similar positions with their husbands , and are always wanting me to go for coffee and supporting them , which I have always tried to help people but I’m struggling myself , but I’m the first one of your little people , I can’t say no. I’m looking forward to watching some more of your delightful blogs and getting more of your great advice . Sorry to drain on . I love it when your mum and Pete say their story’s such fun. Oh also your friend she’s written them poems for you , if she put them in a book I would buy one . Much love Donna from Norfolk xxx
Oh Donna, how lovely to hear from you, and so pleased the little counselling parts are helping. It's lovely knowing you are watching my past episodes. I feel for you with your husband's health news. Please feel free to drain on! I'll pass the message on about the poems. Look after yourself. xxx
Wow.im so glad I've found your channel. So so interesting. I'm on hold at the moment with my elderly mum and watch your videos while she's having her naps etc. I can't put you down! I've just watched the first bit if TA and it's so true and so helpful. Thank you Penny. You are so interesting
@@penelopeschinwag not at all. I live in Dublin Ireland. My mum lives in limerick but we are in Galway for a week. I'm glad I discovered you (by accident) and I feel like I'm going home a different person! I'm only new to crafting and I love it but to be honest I am really loving the facts and the poems and your mum and husband too. I'm knitting the dog from that book you have but I didn't bring it with me as space was limited. Thanks for your channel. It's so lovely
We have a bird that comes called the Tufted Titmouse and we also have the American Goldfinch. It is interesting how different they are from yours. (Georgia, USA)
