It broke my heart too. I have ONE child that I didn't have until I was 41 yrs. old. When she hurts, I hurt. I took her out of public school because of mistreatment. Sure, financially it's harder, but I'd rather have my baby than all the money in the world.

some people on here are so negative and condemning...Lashun shared a part of herself that she didn't have to .. but did. We get blessed by listening to others test and trials..and seeing that they came through it...she didn't say it was easy..or none of that. This is powerful. I used to love LaShun as one of my favorite gospel artists for her pheomenal voice. Now I love her for the voice and the STRENGTH God has manifest in her life. She has been through some things and is here still praising God and smiling and ministering to us. Praise God.

And being a mother myself,I would go as far to ask what steps did she take to insure her daughter's safety,what did she do after her daughter was choked in school and she got in the car and couldn't breath? I HATE bullying. Did the child know self defense? If someone is picking on you physically like pushing,shoving, choking,you have to defend yourself.
Is a heart attack not a broken heart. This mother is doing whatever she needs to to explain to herself why her child died. It is unsafe to judge her based on that. When a child has heart pains, how many people automatically think "heart attack" Why not just feel compassion for the woman and leave it at that?
I'm going to speak a word here. The night before her daughter passed, she said "mom...my heart hurts". Lashun then said that she "knew" at that moment and rebuked death. If you "knew" that your child could possibly be near death and they tell you that their heart hurts, that child needs to be taken to the nearest hospital. They do NOT need to be going to school the next day. And I'm sorry. Saying that "we didn't eat a lot. We just ate at the wrong times" completely contradicts nutritional science. Eating at the wrong times can possibly make someone can minimal weight but it will not cause the level of obesity that we have seen in that family. I have had my health challenges as well due to my disobedience and foolishness. We have to be careful when we say that God did something when we are not following the proper plan in wisdom. We can't lay that at God's doorstep as if He took the child to save face due to pride
When i first say this,it was a treat to see my favorite artist in this interview looking all spicy lol...but when i saw this for the first time, when she was talking about Xenia i was in shock of what that baby went through in her short life...First time i saw it i was in shock but the second time,i cried.This interview has made me want to go forth and become the best that i can be.
