She was on point with the beat of the music, I bet she had moves back in her younger days. When she hung her umbrella up and put her purse down you know it was on she didn't miss a beat. When we're old never count us out, I am 68 and I can still get with it.

@@billyhill727 Actually, talking to a neighbor about idioms, we agreed that a great way to prove that you’re definitely *not* “with it” (my research indicates that phrase was used most widely 1930s-1960s) is to use the idiom “with it” to mean aware of current fashion in music, dance, *language*, clothing and other cultural trends. Being aware of/hip to current linguistic trends means you know that “with it” is antiquated. Interesting how that works, huh? Convicted by your own lawyer, if you will.

My oldest daughter does vinyl & made a decor sign for Christmas gift that says, ‘In this kitchen, there’s dancing.’ I’m always dancing while cooking, cleaning, & when I’m in the garden. Thank goodness for iPhone, PowerBeats Pro, Spotify, & Alexa speakers bc music is always playing no matter where I am.
