There was already a huge red flag when Meghan kept going on about how her child wouldn't get a royal title and how it was unfair. I kept asking myself, why does it matter if your child is a prince or princess?
Important to note that if Megan was the victim of narcissists in the royal family such as the queen, she would have received numerous private slights, insults, rejections and cruelty and he feeling fed up, surrounded by injustice and slightly losing it. So she might make a big deal because it’s just one more thing. One more way to make her and Harry feel unwanted and unloved. The complexity is sometimes a victim of covert narcissistic abuse can start to over-react to little things. Making them look entitled. But really they are just worn out and sick of the constant disrespect. Her sense of pride flaring up because she knows no one deserves to be treated that way. Protectiveness towards her children that they are facing the brunt of the bullying and disenfranchisement now because of some nebulous grudge she can tell someone in the family has for her and Harry and they can’t seem to escape it
It’s also possible she is the narcissistic one and while others bend over backwards, nothing is good enough. It’s hard to say as an outsider

Only the children of the monarch or the person who is going to be queen/king regent, gets a royal title. Harry won‘t be king, hence his children don’t get that title.

When she married into royalty ,she thought she can be the ultimate rebel or something like princess diaries. What she didn't knew was that being a royal isn't about glitz and glam but responsibility and duties. She clearly failed at both.

When they said they were moving to Canada for privacy I got that. They just had a kid and wanted out of the public eye and to live privately and have a family. Then they moved to LA, signed a deal for a show with Netflix, started a podcast, went on a speaking tour, announced a second pregnancy to the press with baby bump photos and then did an interview on the most watched chat show in the world. These are not the actions of problem who just want to be left alone they are the actions of people who want attention. If they had gone to live quietly in Canada the world would have forgotten about them by now and moved on. They are the ones who keep thrusting themselves in to the papers and drawing attention to themselves.

Another big one that is often overlooked, is that Princess Eugenie was kind enough to postpone her wedding, which had already been planned for over a year, for Harry & Meghan’s wedding. Why? Gosh, I loved her, couldn't wait for them to get married, bought books and wedding souvenirs. The first red flag 🚩 appeared to me when Meghan gave the "nobody asked if I was OK 👌". I was like "I hear you girl, but couldn't you have waited until AFTER the Africa tour? You're distracting from the tour, besides..complaining about your lot when you are in a poor african country is just...not terribly sensitive ". It went downhill from there, I realized she was a narcissist, patterns of behavior started to emerge. then staff members started to quit in a quick fashion. Now I was sure something was very wrong.

I'm British. I love our Royal family. The Queen's motto has always been 'Duty before self'. Meghan is the exact opposite "Self before everything and everyone else." That is why many of us hate her.
I was happy for Harry initially. But then Meghan kept trying to control the narrative that our media could print, pushing herself forward, breaking protocols left and right as though our traditions were ridiculous and we all just needed the refreshing breath of air that was America to shake the stodge out of us. Her whole attitude was extremely offensive.
She kept playing the victim, demanding Harry speak out all the time and defend her from the big bad press when they dared to act like newspapers rather than her own personal PR agency, and actually researched facts and looked into her claims and sob stories, and didn't just blindly report whatever she said as true. She wanted our press to print her version of herself and was furious when they didn't.
British taxpayers paid £32 million ($42.55m) for their wedding. Taxpayers paid an additional £2.5 million for the refurbishment of their cottage. Meghan happily accepted all that, expecting to be treated like a princess... but princesses in our country are a real thing, they are not Disney movie princesses who never have to work, while everyone else happily pays for their lifestyle.
There is a reciprocal arrangement. The Royal family work bloody hard for the British people, and are respected for it.
But, in comparison to the rest of the Royal family, Meghan did very little.
For example, in 2018, Prince William attended 150 engagements in the UK and 70 overseas official visits. Prince Harry attended 108 UK engagements and 85 overseas. Prince Charles attended 398 UK engagements and 109 overseas. And even the Queen, at 92 years old, attended 283 UK engagements.
Meghan attended 45 in the UK and 51 overseas, and then demanded she and Harry be allowed to step back from public duties to spend more time as a family in private.
She barely did anything in exchange for the terrific welcome and enormous amount of money lavished on her by the British public, except, of course, for forcing Prince Harry to abandon his family, his duty, his country, his home, his heritage, and his identity as a Royal Prince, and replace it all with simply being HER husband.
She played on his fears of losing her like he lost his mother, claiming the press were hounding her, until he did whatever she asked in his determination to protect her.
It's such classic narcissistic behaviour, latching on to the most powerful person she could find and then manipulating and using him to get ahead, before putting him down.
He looks utterly miserable in every photo or interview he ever gives these days. Contrast that with photos of him pre-Meghan, laughing and joking with William and Kate or Charles, and you can perhaps understand why the British public mostly despise her.
And then, to top it all off, she accused our Royal Family of being a bunch of racists, and our media, and the majority of the British public, too, which is completely untrue. Maybe that victim BS goes over well in the US, but here we see through it. She is trying to weaponise race to paint herself in a more favourable light and meanwhile lies her ass off about everything.

It's obvious she's a manipulator, one of the main clues is isolating your partner from their family, that way they cannot hear the perspective of logic and reason and live in an eternal echo chamber with the person who they think is their savor. That literally happened to my mom's uncle, he was a great dude that was happy with his family and interacted with them all the time, but after moving out with his new wife, he hasn't talked with anybody directly for years, and the wife has been harassing some people in the family through social media every now and then.
The other red flag on that type of behaviour is obvious unease and unhappiness on the part of the manipulated person

It's extremely refreshing to hear a young, American woman take the wider context into account when weighing up Meghan's strengths and weaknesses. And I'm glad that at least one (even if it's only one!) person in America makes a point to remember that the general British mood about Meghan back at the time of her engagement and wedding was extremely positive because of her mixed-race heritage, her American nationality and her modern, stylish appearance. It’s weird how I hated her from the day one. I was thinking, why I am feeling like this, when I never hated anyone, even people who hurt me, I forgave them. I also thought she was very very ugly. Later, it made sense, it was as I was seeing through her. I have dealt with many narcissists my whole life and now I know why I felt that way about her. I don’t know about happy all the time. Who is? Sometimes he seemed a bit withdrawn. But his smile and joy did seem genuine before. Now it appears forced and he seems confused. I think he senses something isn’t right about her. But perhaps as soon as he begins so question it she threatens suicide, plays the victim card or pops up pregnant. Sadly, at this point, if he is seeing her true colors, it’s too late. He’s in way too deep. And may have burned too many bridges. Time will tell.

To be fair, my sister-in-law said while pregnant ‘no one has asked me if I’m ok’.
Even though my family went out of our way to help her with everything and anything she needed.
I do think sometimes when you are going through something stressful like pregnancy that you may forget that there are people bending over backwards to help you, but if the people you want (like friends) say nothing then everyone has wronged you. Difference is my sister-in-law didn’t say what she said to me in a public way that would shame or hurt anyone, she said it in private and was just venting her spleen.
Plus most people don’t ask if you are doing ok unless they know you are having issues. They ask how are you going? Or how’s life?
I know hardly anything about the royal family after my own family was dissolved out a couple centuries ago. But I’ve heard of this, and it only makes me appreciate William in his ten years of dating and even maturely taking a break to sort through his feelings, and for Kate who also took her time and is a wonderfully elegant and mature woman.

I'm an American and I've always gotten the impression people on the other side of the pond really don't like it when a loud pushy American shows up to tell you everything you're doing wrong. The Royal Family means a lot to Britian and even though I may think royal families are silly, I'd sure as hell take my job seriously to show respect your country and peopled. Starting during WWII and in the decades after the US and UK have had their 'special relationship" As an American I see the UK as being especially worthy of respect because of tne bond between us. Sure we make fun of each other, but when things get serious you can can always count on the US and UK standing side-by-side.
