This was Crystal Dynamics's first go at Tomb Raider and it seems they were aiming for a female James Bond with a more upbeat attitude. I thinked it worked for that era of Tomb Raider. While classic Lara was badass, I found this Lara to be more charming.
I hope the cats didn't have red eyes glowing in the dark staring through the gate too lol. Glad to see more classic tomb raider LEGEND back loving this and content so far. If you like Tomb Raider movies if you haven't seen it the Alicia Vikander one was VERY GOOD in my opinion.
Thanks for another fun episode and level. I agree Lara looks great here. And you’re right the modern devs probably won’t make hot Lara again. But there are mods to make her hot in the Survivor trilogy. Oh, you might also like the 2018 movie better than the old ones (though I love them all).
If the name Nishimura sounds familiar, that's also Sam's surname from the 2013 reboot. Before that game came out, fans speculated this Nishimura was her father but he's not. The devs just gave her the same name for whatever reason.
In the name of Tomb Raider tradition... you should fail the quick time events! The outcomes are hilarious! If anyone needs to reach me, I'll be in hell for my wicked heart...
By the way you can also use the grapple on enemies to pull them to the ground. It’s really handy when there’s someone that has the high ground on you. There’s not really any stealth in this game though.
5:11 hands down one of Lara's best one liners, Keeley Hawes does such an amazing job she's THE voice of Lara ❤ Also at 25:00 you needed to push the box down where you came from for it to break bc the gold reward was in there
