- Installed Soul Sports Cats on my 2020 911 Carrera 4S with Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE).
No check engine lights (CEL) and it sounds great. I would say 30% louder and more pronounced turbo whistles from stock cats.
I love how it still preserves the typical sound from the 911.
And I love the Carreras, those have a much cleaner look than the Turbos.
Oh my lord, this setups transforms the car completely! LOVE IT
Finally... it sounds not bad.
Great throaty sound with the Soul cats!
Sounds great. Disregard comments.
Hey when you did this did you get a check engine light I have a 991.2 c4s and thinking to do the same with sport cats not sure which is better if the fabspeed or soul is better
did you need to tune the car after installing the cats or its a direct bolt on plug-and-play? thanks
I have the same color on my 2022 Carrera S!
Not bad for a turbo... But I cannot give up my NA sound just yet.
Did you install
Them yourself? I live in nyc and thinking about
Doing this to 992 4S
It’s an easy install, but I paid someone. If you have the right tools and time, you can get it done within an hour.
I feel for those who are being introduced to Porsche 911s now and have to put up with a combination of a sewing machine and Dyson Vacuum as THE Porsche Sound. Only GT4 and GT3 now a days sound like Porsches, rest are just sad..still fast, but zero sound track (but then again even a Tesla Model 3 is fast.. its never been about speed alone)
Don’t disagree with you, but in person this does good for a daily and not obnoxious to my neighbors at 6am when I head to work. I’ve given up on aftermarket exhausts because it doesn’t really add much. The only way to get real sound is to go careless, which is not an option for me.
That sounds very good. Where in NY are you? I'd love to hear it in person this season if we're in the same area.
Long Island (Nassau).
Does the car we hear in this video have the PSE valve mod as well?
It doesn’t, but I recently had the Tune done on my car. I will try to make a new video soon with it. The valves fully open make the car feel like a NA engine and the sound is much deeper.
Still sounds like a vacuum
Does it throw any CELs?
No CEL on my 2020. Other years seem to be more sensitive and throw off CEL’s. A tune will help remove it.
sounds stock
Honda
Sure 😂
Yeeeah. Kudos for the attempt, but this is not a good sound, and I own a 992 Carrera myself. Definitely didn't buy it for the exhaust note...I must've watched all of UA-cam's videos with different exhaust options for the 992 at this point, alas none sound good. I also have a certain something with a V12, now that's a great noise.
Sounds is very subjective, also hard to compare sounds from a flat six to a v12. The goal was to hear more turbo spool which was achieved and I’m happy with.
@@MrBThomas26 True. And it definitely sounds better than stock, I suppose I'm just missing that N/A flat 6 sound that 991.1 and prior non-turbo models had. Great spec, by the way, classy!
go back to your v12 . You can’t compare a porsche to anything out there
Did you notice any power gains?
I feel it pulls harder but I don’t have dyno numbers to prove it. Definitely not losing torque which sometimes occurs with modifications.
is there more exhaust pops?
I maybe a little. It’s more of a deeper note with turbo spool noise.
