I left my old church cause of gossip and judging. It seemed like they only expect perfect people there. Now I'm in an amazing church that tells it like it is, everyone is welcome, and they preach the whole word and not just what people want to hear. And so many times the sermon was exactly what I needed to hear. That's another important reason for attending church.
That's awesome John. Yes, sometimes it takes a few attempts to get to a church that you feel comfortable at. I can definitely attest to that. Glad you found a good one!
Tad Walker I strongly recommend that you find a home church so that you can learn more about christ and grow as a Christian. also it's a way of worship and setting aside time for Him and fellowship with other believers. Now that said that doesn't mean you'll go to hell because you're not involved in a church but church is something you should make time for. Be blessed
Amen!!!The true church is the body of believers who have put their faith in Jesus Christ so that they may be as he is when he appears to the glory of God the father who made this possible for us all through his love and forgiveness of sin.
@@zefsagala1391 Perversion has entered the church and they use the scriptures the wrong way like the Pharisees. The pharisees used the sabbath and other God's laws to entrap people to glorify their own flesh and not in our Father.Jesus said in the book of John that the true person sent by God would not do his own will but the will of God the Father .We need to be alert. If you get a good church where the word of God is followed even by the Pastors and the leaders then we can go there on the sabbath or any other time. When some churches start breaking the very principles of the bible paid with blood by Christ and over 50 million saints , they have opened the door for people to do what's best for them to get do God's will the right way.
i understand your prospective brother but scripture says.. God doesn't dwell in temples made by hand..im not telling one not to go to a church but we as believers are the church..I have a question, how many more sermons, teachings, seminars and workshops would we need until we actually started preaching the gospel outside of the church building?saving the lost also to the homeless, the poor the needy and the fatherless? remember something brothers and sisters there were many people who heard the gospel once... just a thought
THE BEAT by Allen Parr I have a question on wich day should I go to church on saturday or on sunday ? is going to church your sabbath rest im trying too find a good church.
But the churches today are not doing any thing today?.. with the 501c3 attach to their agreement to receive those Taxes since they started in the 60's if I'm not mistaken? they can't teach the old testament, or get into politics when their leader's of the people are leading us astray?.. their are so many do's and don't in that agreement that their under that 501c3 the churches again are under that agreement go read it? and its run by illumi today? so what are you saying for us to go back to those churches today? I'm totally scared today so I study and read and listen to prophets and teachers on the internet today? come from among them so I don't be partakers of their sins? also The Almighty Power!! do not dwell in Unclean temples? or Temples made by mans hands! The commandments also suppose to done away with, well if that's the case we don't need the bible any longer then,. do what you feel is right?? Remember they had commandment is heaven!.. before he sent the angels that broke them??Response please?
Joana Elysee /READ COL.2:14-17 AND ROMANS CHAPTER 14. DONT GET CAUGHT UP ON THE SABBATH DAY. SABBATH MEANS REST . CHRIST IS OUR SABBATH. YOU CAN WORSHIP ANYDAY.
I agree. I haven't been going to church consistently in a long time but I desire to find one that God has for me to attend. I have been discouraged buy some of the things that go on in church. But I pray to find the one that God has for me to be a part of. Pray for me also
I understand. It's easy to get discouraged. There are great churches out there. I encourage you to continue your search. Remember, the church is the bride of Christ. We can't say that we don't care for the church.
True believers are NOT supposed to "go to church". Jesus tore down the brick and mortar temple system Himself. Thats in the Bible. And His true followers are now the temple, meaning your body. These "church" buildings are not God's and the Buble says that more than twice. People don't study and thats why they think calling themselves Christians and going to these buildings is right, but ITS NOT. Anyone who is interested in getting a REAL study with scriptures to prove that Christianity is NOT the true church of Christ Jesus, e-mail me at twomaysecond@yahoo.com
I have not been in a church building for 5 years now. I am part of the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is the Bride of Christ, not the church building. Not everyone who attends a church building is a child of God.
I agree. I attempted to address this issue in a recent video. I am hoping the clarity will help bring unity in the body of Christ. ua-cam.com/video/n6N6lEThuMk/v-deo.html
Is that out of not having a right church to go to, or simply worldly laziness and selfishness? My pastor once asked the same question: Can a Christian who doesn't go to church, still get into Heaven/be a Christ-follower? Basically, the answer boiled down to yes, they can, but a true Christian will desire whole-heartedly to attend a church service. We are the Church yes, but we need an organized event at least once a week to collectively worship God as a body. 'Christians' who don't desire church, can't call themselves Christian.
sadly the most I've learned about Christ has come from me getting alone with Holy Spirit and having him teach me reading and worshipping on my own and also going online to search out other teachers. the Bible says to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together that meansvforbus to not go totally lone ranger in our walk but still there are other believers who gave for s time isolated themselves from a church body in order to get deeper more intimate relations
@@missmystery4525 it's TRUE that churches dont save people. But a good church with a good pastor and Sunday school teacher can teach you some things. God put them here 4 a reason. THE GOOD ONES
We keep on saying we are the church so I don't need to go to a church building. It is true that church is the body of believers but we should keep in mind that I am not or you are not the whole body of Christ. Each of us are only a part of the body of Christ. We need to gather together to learn from each other and encourage each other not just go and gather to fill your church building. Christianity involves us with other people.
The Church is the body of Christians! Not a building! Do not lead these people astray. Church does not save you, only the blood of Jesus and the guidance of His Holy Spirit can we be saved. Better is it to be an obedient servant to Christ and show love to your enemies than to go to a building and pay money to a man every Sunday and hear him read verses that one themselves can read in the Bible. Church should be for Holy Communion & worship. That is all.
BlueFlarePictures did you even watch the video? Not going to church is blatant disobedience to God/the word. Your comment is the one leading others astray here. As we've revised, the church is about so much more than you claimed. Also clearly he never said the church saves smh... God bless
BlueFlarePictures my parents go and they criticise the preacher you're not saved just by going to a place it is your actions that matter on person can go and kill someone the next day so there is no point in going to church
Jesus says we are guilty as murders if we even hate someone. We all hate at times so it is not the act so much as the proceeding thought. The holy spirit told us not to forsake the gathering together of believers. It doesn't matter where you gather as long as you gather 2 worship pray etc.
piedpiper22 at the end of the day, we are all human. We come from sin. We will never be perfect, but all we can do is be better then we were yesterday. I dont go to church. It's not because im a nonbeliever but its because its filled with a bunch of drama. At least from my experience. People constantly criticising and judging you. I never feel welcomed.
The Church(believers) are the Body of Christ or the Bride of Christ. It's not a building. NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that a believer must attend a building in order to worship God or fellowship with other believers. You can worship or fellowship just about anywhere. God says He doesn't dwell in buildings made by hands (Acts 7:48-49; 17:24). God dwells in the heart of His children (1Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 3:17; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Revelation 21:3). Question: What literal building on this Earth can contain Almighty God? NONE! If a believer wants to join himself/herself to a building called church, then that's their choice. But to say that a believer must join a congregation is not biblical.
Then if that is the choice a specific Christian is making, to not attend a “building”, I pose a follow up question. What instead are they doing to actively grow alongside other Christians in Christ? Because that IS Biblical. To live along side, fellowship, and worship with other Christians. We weren’t called to stand alone in our praise and worship and learning. So if you aren’t “going to Church” where are you getting that source? Are you active in a home small group? A weekly in house worship session? A Christian community group? There has to be something. You alone are not the church. You can’t be. But you AND I?? We are. Together. So stand with me brother, and we can love and praise Him together. We can reach others together. And you know where the most CONVENIENT place for people to do that is? ..... at a church building.
I agree. I attempted to address this issue in a recent video. I am hoping the clarity will help bring unity in the body of Christ. ua-cam.com/video/n6N6lEThuMk/v-deo.html
Some People who are leaders or involved in the church will help their church members before they help their own family. They will visit them in hospita,l nursing homes, go to their graduation celebrations, even cook them a meal. However, their own 5 grandchildren they never attended any of their 4 graduations, prom events I had a accident I begged my mom to please come and cook something or could she bring something for me to eat I was told no. I was in pain. when I graduated from high school and college. No parents or siblings came. I'm the adopted child so zi dont matter
Same. Yet my parents tell me I shouldn't go to church for the people but for God. I can always talk tp God anywhere. I don't need to go to a building and try to fit in when I obviously don't.
You are not alone. I could stop going now and no one would even call to find out why haven't been going. I could pass away and no one at the church would know. I could end up in the hospital and no one there would know. If it were not for my kids, I probably wouldn't be going. I just want them to learn about our Lord and God's word while they are young.
People. Yes the devil is in the church. He's in every church no matter which church u go to. But u got to find the church that's right 4 u. An focus on jesus. Not what wrong with that church. I did and I'm a happy Christian. Praise GOD
I've been in that situation for three years now, it's been tough but I've learned a lot about God. Don't force yourself to fit in anywhere if it means failing God (I mean if the only way they'd accept you is by gossiping or being fake or whatever). If you want to deepen your relationship with him and you feel that your church is not adding to your growth, the holy spirit is not among the people there. When he guides you, you don't reject people who want to learn more about God. So you're not missing anything really. But always pray and ask God to put you where he wants you before you decide to leave or join a new church.
So many people just do not understand this and it breaks my heart I love being amongst the saints no matter how jacked up we are .. we are all apart of the body and need each other
I haven't found a good church yet. Still looking. It's nice to fellowship at a church, but we need the whole Word preached to us and true acts of service being offered to the less fortunate. It's not all about socialization.
The Holy Spirit does just as good a job reaching me through the Word, my prayer life, and religious media. If church is what is best for me, i trust God will point me towards the right one.
I agree, that’s the holy spirt job anyway, we’re only instruments used by Christ to speak his word and be the light of this world. God’s the only one who can save someone through the fire.
Plus we’re all suppose to preach the good news about Christ, church is just one way his word can be spoken, but we’re supposed to be fishers of men and most of the time we must go out and reach out to the lost souls that’s outside those four walls.
I don't know what church you been too but I have not experienced that sort of relationship in any church I been too. I can sincerely say I been ostracized and snubbed and I been drowned out and treated as a burden and when I opened up to say I need help or offered help been given issues. I am so sorry to say I haven't had great experiences at all with churches.
I know what you are saying about the importance of going to church, and I go every Sunday. I have no deep relationships with any other Christians. A handshake or a greeting is the most you can hope for, so I have given up on them after over 10 years in the same church. I don’t even try anymore.
Not all churches are like that. It look me a lot of church visits to find the right one. I'm happy where I am right now. But know that no church it perfect.
I feel I go in we can't talk when ppl walk in . Get a pew nobody says anything I feel nothing envelope in basket mass ends everyone walks out priest hurries to get over the bye makes no time . I gave up turns his back locks the doors and he gone. And I should go to church. I looking for new church
I'm grateful for this exhortation. It has inspired me to do what I know is right to do for my own benefit. I've been visiting multiple assemblies without commitment. And I know I've gotta plug in. I thank God & I thank you brother. Keep sharing
I don’t have a problem with church, I just don’t connect very well with the service and fellowship. The people are very welcoming and friendly but it just didn’t workout for me. When I’m away from church, I do feel more connected with God and I even learn something new each day and I’m cutting down on things I shouldn’t be doing on my own without even realizing it. It feels like a process as God is working on me and I don’t realize it which is a good thing. It’s what I been telling my friends all along, allow it to happen on its own and don’t force yourself to do something you are not ready for.
We, meaning Western Christianity, do not understand what the word "church" actually means. We always want to place a pivotal meaning on the building or organization and that is not what it is. This video sounds good to the unlearned, but it is not biblically based. Church is the body of Christ both local and worldwide and it is not connected with a building or organization such as denominations. Read Paul's epistles, especially Ephesians for more information on this subject.
I am a VERY new creation in Christ and even I understand this concept. It's quite concerning that many professing Christians today that have been around for much longer than me are sleepy when it comes to this topic...they simply don't want to hear it, or they just ignore many key verses... I'm confused about this however, because I know that the church has nothing to do with the building, even the concept of pastors/rabbis/preists etc was abolished by Jesus. but I still try to attend these gatherings in the hopes that I can fellowship with true believers, and we can splinter off into smaller more dedicated groups. I know the current corporate "church" system is deceptive but I don't doubt that there are atleast a few solid believers in there somewhere and they are yearning for true fellowship. I believe it's our job as true believers of what the early church meant, to find the real people and link up with them. I believe in the sovereignty of God to still have the ability to use these ridiculous buildings and gatherings for ultimately a good outcome in the end... would that be sound thinking?
I can't get active involved in the congregation because I'm almost 69 and still working as a nanny. Wen I get home at 7 I'm exhausted. But I love to go to worship God and to hear the sermon. I do thing outside the church like spreading the gospel. And I visit a friend I. A nursery home and walk around say hi and let them know about Jesus. I have this unspeakable peace and joy in the middle of family problems and wat I see in the whole world. Put the armor and pray pray pray
I just hate going to church on Sunday where I go because though there is a good message and worship, people just want to apply it then leave. There's no one to talk to after the service
The Church and church organizations are not the same thing. I worked at a mega church as an administrative assistant and one of the main pastors told me the church was first and foremost a business. The created outside charities to meet the needs of the poor, but I got the impression it was more so the leadership didn’t have to deal with needy people. I faithfully attended and served in churches for more than 25 years, in almost every area of ministry. I gave until my body broke from exhaustion. When I got sick I had to quit my job and leave most of my ministry services. Then I was asked to leave the leadership of the one I chose to remain in, and treated as if I were a backslider. Eventually I left, mainly because I felt as if I were being shunned, but had no idea what sin I had committed. I tried two other churches, but being unable to serve in children’s ministry, I was not given opportunity to use talents I could do, I was expected to pay my dues in the children’s ministry. Don’t get me wrong, I love working with kids, but I physically couldn’t handle it and because of my illness I could not be as reliable as one needs to be for that area. I’m almost 60, and I get very fatigued. I love my God and Savior and have a personal relationship with Him. However, I’m not considered a sister in Christ unless I attend someone’s church. This makes no sense. I can guarantee there are many they consider brothers and sisters in Christ who just attend for the networking, or worse, because it’s an easy place full of trusting people to be able to do evil things. My point is, it’s getting very hard to find a church that teaches scripture and actually cares about people. It just feels like an exclusive social club. It didn’t used to, back in the 80-90s. It started to change around the mid 2000s. About the time of the Purpose Driven Life craze. That movement made everyone so busy trying to find their purpose they sort of forgot about relationship-especially that all important personal relationship with God. Also, Jesus as far as I know never worshipped on Sunday. Like you said, He never missed a Sabbath. Just saying….
It depends on what you mean by "feels". A church that makes you uncomfortable may very well be the church that you need to be at. I would refer to scripture and see if the church is actually operating in accordance with God's word. If it seems to be, then I would say it doesn't matter how it "feels" to you. Your discomfort about something may very well be the thing that needs working on.
joshua Zelay---I totally agree with BeachMaster Tim. Don't be deceived by what "feels" right. That's one of the easiest ways Satan uses to distract you from the truth. Always go back to the Word of God. If the doctrines of the church agree with what's in the Bible, then be assured. If you're not sure, schedule a meeting with the church leader to discuss your questions.
I am fighting the desire to leave my cute church. I don't always feel the connection or love. God has raised me in this church but some circumstances have caused a distance between myself and my church. I ask for the prayers of the righteous.
Hey Cory, crazy busy week so sorry for the delay. Man, leaving a church is like leaving a relationship. It is that hard for real. But know that every time I followed what I believed the Spirit was telling me with regards to transition I've always gained something better in return. I know He will lead you and let you know when and how it is time to move on. Keep me posted man.
Cory Jackson BELOVED IF YOU FEEL THAT GOD PUT YOU THERE ,THEN STAY UNLESS GOD TELLS YOU TO LEAVE. LEAN NOT TO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. JESUS DIDN'T LIKE BEING ON THE CROSS BUT HE STAYED UNTIL HIS WORK WAS DONE. HOWEVER NEVER LEAVE CHURCH COMPLETELY. IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU MUST GO,THE FIND ANOTHER CHURCH, BUT STAY IN FELLOWSHIP OR BE LEFT BEHIND AFTER THE RAPTURE. YOU MUST HAVE A SHEPHERD COVERING YOU. SEE HEBREWS 13 :17 SND HEBREWS 10:25. THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT ARE FOR THE CHURCH NOT YOUR HOMES. MANY PEOPLE WILL LOSE OUT TO GOD BY NOT ATTENDING CHURCH. THEY MAKE ALL KINDS OF EXCUSES TO JUSTIFY THEIR ACTIONS. HOWEVER THEY GO TO WORK WITH BOSSES THAT ARE EVIL AND COWORKERS THAT ARE EVIL. THE APOSTLES,PROPHETS, PASTORS, TEACHERS, EVANGELIST, MISSIONARIES, DEACONS, CHIOR, USHERS, ETC ARE IN THE CHURCH NOT THEIR HOMES. THEM THAT ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD ARE THE SONS OF GOD. PEOPLE GET SAVED IN THE CHURCH NOT THEIR HOMES. PEOPLE GET DELIVERED IN THE CHURCH NOT THEIR HOMES. GOD SAID THAT HE WOULD RAISE UP A SHEPHERD AFTER HIS OWN HEART. ANYONE THAT DOESN'T GO TO CHURCH ARE LIKE A SHEEP SCATTERED ON THE HILL WITHOUT A SHEPHERD .THE GOAT WOULD BUTT YOU.THE DOG WOULD BITE YOU.THE WOLF WOULD RIP YOU UP.
Leave! The Holy Spirit is trying to draw many out of this false "church" system. True believers are NOT supposed to "go to church". Jesus tore down the brick and mortar temple system Himself. I haven't felt the Holy Spirit move through the church since I attended a small house church back in the 80's. When the Holy Spirit sweeps through your church, you will KNOW IT, people. I don't care who you are, where you come from or what you have done, you will know when the living waters go through your church. I have to ask.......Are churches really that dead in America that the Holy Spirit sweeping through the church seems to be a rare event nowadays?? We are so caught up in the cares of this world, with possessions, with other things that contend for our hearts.
It's because the pastor does his thing every week while the saints just sit and listen where as in a house meeting of the saints everyone participates and the Holy spirit can move because there is no pastor in the way.
Linda Sanderson why can't we do that on our own. why do we need a church to gather us together and study the word of God. is it the same if believers got together and studied scripture at a local park or in the comfort of their house?
Jonathan I myself have asked the same question. However, I was merely showing from the scriptures that the word of God says Christians should get together regularly, I guess it's kind of like having a support group, for encouragement, strengthening and building one another up. And since the 'church' is actually the body of believers rather than an actual building, it would not have to be in a building. Like you said, they could meet outside at a park, in individuals homes or wherever they could comfortably and peacefully gather to discuss God's word and fellowship with one another.
That verse actually means to sell what you have and give to the poor and live together as Christians in a Christian community preaching the Gospel. Luke 12:33-34 (KJV) "[33] Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. [34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Luke 14:33 (KJV) "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."
I find these verses in Hebrews encouraging. 'Church' as people say is the gathering of people. This can be a bible study or youth group or meeting on Sunday. However, I think it should be a meeting that is first and foremost about Christians meeting to encourage one another. Doing more of these types of meetings is better! PS We do not *need* to meet - we are saved by the grace of God. However, we will be more mature Christians by meeting with others who can encourage us and make us grow.
The Bible says to not neglect our meeting together. It doesn't say meet in a church building. Modern day church has been focused on the institutional aspects of a building. Church is where we take it. Not the building we attend. Yet , pastors are always preaching on community blah blah, but we need people who are hungry for God to take the church into the dark places too. Not just where we go on Sunday morning.... We've forgotten that in this day and age
I was invited to go to church back in 1985 where I learned a lot because I didn’t know anything about the Bible. I got saved several months later. Been going to church faithfully ever since. God has blessed us for our faithfulness to Him.
I have grown so much more in Christ after spending more time on Sundays alone with Him...like on the beach or in the park. His Spirit teaches me afresh and helped me to unlearn the many lies that come packaged with organized churchianity. I'm not looking for the perfect church...just a genuine one. I'm tired of the one-man, one-woman shows. The priesthood of ALL believers is hardly evident in our gatherings. A fact that no-one wants to talk about...
I like this vlog and the reasons we should go. Church is not perfect place because we are there to learn and grow. We also get hurt outside of the church. The enemy of this world is everywhere in or out of the church. But in the church you have fellow believers as well, who are there to help and strengthen you.
Brother Allen thank you for sharing! I very much agree that it is vital we find our place in the body of Christ. I just want to offer a word of encouragement to fellow believers who are really struggling to find a place to gather with other believers and the truth is being taught and people are being transformed . As another brother stated, many are going into "church" one way and are walking out unchanged. I think what is so important for us to do right now is to make sure we are good stewards of the word of God. Study to show yourselves approved because deception and apostasy is on the rise. It's so sad and I know grieves Gods heart to see his people being led astray because we're not studying the word for ourselves. I'm so guilty of that and what happens is many believers depend on their pastors to only teach them rather than spending time in prayer and in the word and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach them. So PLEASE just make sure your reading your bibles and God tells us if we acknowledge him in all our ways , he will direct our paths. He will lead you to where he wants you. It could be a home group or place other believers in your path to fellowship with. Don't pray and worry! 😁
I’m so glad you spoke on this cause I been trying to get people closer to God without rubbing them off wrong and. They usually don’t see eye to eye with it me I even sent them Hebrew 10:24 where it speaks of it and they tend to ignore it.
Amen. So many people come to church but don’t get involved with their talents, or they neglect church altogether. We need to give to the church so we can get from the church. As a PK I know from firsthand experience
And definitely talk to a church person that has offended you. Do not allow wounds to fester and turn into hate. I have witnessed this recently with my dad as pastor.
I remember that since Covid, once my Christian family plans trips of 5 days or less, we often go for Tue/Wed - Sat, so we land before Sunday to go to church. And if we depart on Sunday, the flight should leave at 4pm or later, allowing us enough time to get to the airport from the church. We also once cut the last day off from a trip to Osaka, as we took the first flight early in the morning back home (it was a 3.5 hour flight), so we can make it to a Bible study session in church. I also picked a departure at 11:55pm nonstop instead of 7pm with a layover to get to my study abroad, which gave me enough time to attend my youth group that day before I get on the plane. It seems that we have treasured church more than before, as we are like a family in God. Recently , we took it to the next level by moving a birthday dinner for my dad to a birthday lunch so we can have dinner at church after the youth group ends for the day.
man there are so many different churches im starting to get frustrated. i just got saved and dont understand all these different churches. which one is the right one.
So I read the blog. Do I just walk into a church and investigate the church through the lens of the seven questions? ask people questions listen to sermons?
The church is from the heart. Not four walls or buildings or temples. 1 Corinthians 3:16 King James Version (KJV) “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” Ephesians 3:17 King James Version (KJV) “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” 2 Corinthians 6:16 King James Version (KJV) “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Acts 7:48-49 King James Version (KJV) “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?” Acts 17:24-25 King James Version (KJV) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” Better? I am sure you will feel more confident!
Church is on my phone and i can learn more from it i believe. Thanks Allen for these great online bible lessons. I find i can watch a video or 2 during a quiet time of the day and reflect on what i have just learnt.
A Church is not a building, it is the people who make the church. Anyone who tells you that you have to go to "a church" to be Christian are either misguided or they benefit from having sheep erm... I mean followers to fleece. The Church is not one of Earth, but the Heavens. We do not attend a physical building, we attend a spiritual one, a communion and covenant between Man and God is what Church really is.
If a person stops going to the church because "people hurt them", or "they judge too much", or "they are hypocrites," is that person going to church because of God or the people? I am homebound and physically unable to leave my home. I wish I could go to church. If people in that church treat me bad, that's on them, not on me. I go to hear the Gospel, not for people.
I love Jesus I love God they’re always going to be in my heart everywhere I go I always think of them I will never forget them they’ve done so much for me in my good days and especially my back days I will never never lose faith.
One last thing I can't stand is when Churches pressure people to give %10 of their earnings. One pastor, at this megachurch I used to attend, went on about how he gave %10 percent pre-tax every payday as if to guilt us into doing likewise. If a pastor every tells you that, tell him that Uncle Sam already got your first %10. The church I attend know does NOT pressure people for money at all. And I really like that a lot.
As a person who grew out of organized religion, and adopted the "search for truth, not stupid fairy tales" mentality, i can tell you that after 7 years of critical cold thinking and looking at churchgoers as delusional weak cultist sheep, I have never been so depressed and in such a dark place in my life.. I am learning that I dont care if they are wrong and we are right.. I discovered that id rather be wrong and happy than be right and miserable. Im going back to church starting this weekend. It might be fairytales or it might not.. but the one thing I do know is that almost everybody goes to church with an open heart and with good thoughts in their mind and THAT Im sure is what creates a greater mind of spirit, love and harmony which rubs off on every single body inside the building... So, call it what you will.. I am going back to have that rub on me again, if nothing else.
My LORD, please bless messages of truth such as this one and lovingly convict those who are living less than Your standards require us to. Father God, I know that wherever you are is where I want to be and if the church I attend does not completely share my beliefs or convictions, Father God I pray that I may be an inspiring factor in their lives. IN JESUS NAME, Amen.
I Used to be very out going, Loved going anywhere including church. But i have become a recluse. I dont like/want to do anything. I do watch sermons, Allen Parr etc. On Sundays. I would like to find a church with people my own age someday. I Love the Lord and i Know he Loves me
I agree. I attempted to address this issue in a recent video. I am hoping the clarity will help bring unity in the body of Christ. ua-cam.com/video/n6N6lEThuMk/v-deo.html
I liked this video and the reasoning behind why one should go to church. I saw a sermon from RC Sproul recently in which he stated that if someone doesn't go to church, he'd question whether or not they are really saved. Realy?! The theif that was saved on the cross didn't attend church regularly I'm sure. I love going to church, but since I got married I find that its difficult to go due to my wife's disability.
Yes...I have been victimized by the fellow "human nature sinners" of each church that I have joined. I still "drag" myself to Sunday Mass regularly. The folks who I can trust are ones who are helping me to forgive. It is interesting that you mentioned the third commandment... We Christians tend to choose which commandments we will follow vs the ones that we will not!
I dont go to church. I am the church. Church can be anywhere anytime... as long as there are two or three gathered in His name, you are fellowshipping. The "church" today thinks it's now become a building, seems more like a social club with little clicks within it, each little click doing their own thing...not really fellowshipping at all...not to mention most don't even use the 5 fold ministry to edify one another. Stop with the guilt tripping ( manipulation) and taking the bible out of context. Children learn about ethic and moral AT HOME, because OUR MINISTRY BEGINS AT HOME. GOING TO A BUIDLING TO GATHER IS COOL, AND CAN BE EDIFYING TO MOST... BUT NOT NESECARRY FOR SALVATION. I've learned and grown more in the last two years being at home and studying for myself and seeking God, then I learned in all the 29+ years going to "church"
Yes church is the people. Yes church is also a building. Can we move on people and stop squabbling over the little things like what exactly a word means? Philippians 2:14. Read it.
Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
I attended and actively participated in church for a good 10+ yrs... The Lockdown started in March 2020, and I haven't been to church ever since, and the sad part is that I dnt even miss it. Its like I've decided I dnt want to attend church anymore. Im cold spirituality...actually dead, not cold
Yes its says honor the sabbath. Even my bible study says it does mean going to church if you refuse. Take one hour weekly alone by a quiet place talk to him bring your bible . Your still making private time with God doesnt mean you have to go to a building 😊
Church is from the heart. 1 Corinthians 3:16 King James Version (KJV) “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” Ephesians 3:17 King James Version (KJV) “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” 2 Corinthians 6:16 King James Version (KJV) “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Acts 7:48-49 King James Version (KJV) “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?” Acts 17:24-25 King James Version (KJV) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” Paul made it very clear.
Wrong!!!
The world needs us. The word says, fail not to ASSEMBLE. Yes. We need to come together. We can come together at other places. Not just a church building.

I feel everyone interprets the Bible so differently but at the end of the day... Church can help believers who are not so disciplined in reading the word and praying and who are still new to the words... it has definitely helped me with all my questions I have learned to study the Bible and I have also started counseling at a local church it has saved my marriage and I feel at home around others who believe it Jesus Christ. If you don’t find a church ur comfortable in pray about it. The Holy Spirit will guide you. Don’t go by what others tell you read it for yourself and pray for guidance and believe me God will answer...
I stopped going to church because the pastor get rich and the congregation struggle, pastors are wearing expensive suits and driving expensive cars ,living in expensive houses and a church member might not be able to Heat their homes but they can’t get help from their church home.I went to a church once and the ministers body guard shoved me in my chest to keep me away from the pastor so I couldn’t speak to him . All of this goes on a lot in churches now ,so sad.
One thing I would say, don’t just join a church just for the sake of joining a church. Be extremely selective and make sure you are seeking The Lord thy God before seeking something physical like a church. The Church is the Body of Christ not just a building to gather in. Make sure you know the word of God for yourself after spending quality time seeking God and building that relationship. This is were you will truly Grow, is on your own and away from the noise of the world. Yes, religion can be apart of the world too. Spend time building your relationship with God and it will keep you religion more wholesome. Not seeking religion first but always with Seeking God above all else. It will never be your time spent with others that grows you spiritually it will mostly be your time in isolation, privacy and in secret. The time we spend with others edifies for sure, no doubt about that. But if we as the Bride of Christ are not careful we can become lost sheep amongst wolves(Mathew 7). It’s very easy to yearn for company and turn to people for comfort but with out a solid relationship with God, that church, minister, ministry or group of people can become your god. You never want anything to take the place of God. Not people or church. Before you know it you have started to worship an idol, a false imitation of God. Breaking the most important commandment for all other commandments make no sense if we have missed the first one (Exodus 20). A church should be something that compliments our walk not be the necessity to our walk of Faith with God. Just as we should “want” to be in a relationship but not “need” to be in a relationship with another. If we are made complete already inside through Jesus Christ we shouldn’t lack or want for anything. So any church should compliment the already solid walk you are on. Knowing everything we need God will provide and already has provided with His Son. All we need to know is inside his Holy Scriptures. We don’t have to look so hard and search so long. It’s sitting one your book shelf somewhere. We are always so hungry as people seeking a Guru to be our god and some human with all the answers. None of us do! We need God, we need His Son, We need His Spirit. But, if you know God for yourself, know his word without a doubt by studying to show thyself approved (2nd Timothy 2) now you will be able to stand firm knowing truth and be able to tell the difference of lies versus the truth. Otherwise you are at risk to follow lies and perish for lack of knowledge(Hosea 4). So invest in what you do when you are all alone when no one is looking. This is what is the most meaningful to God from what The Scriptures show. Not how we behave when the world is watching but rather how we behave when alone and only The Lord is seeing us. It’s very easy to put on a Holy show when we are seen, but’s its the things we do in secret that are the most Sacred unto God. So if you’re looking for a church, make sure you know the Gospel and make sure that church also knows the Gospel. There are many churches that follow the devil and not God. So be careful and allow God to show you how to find a church. Don’t just pick one of your own accord. I am not saying to neglect the Body of Christ but the Body of Christ is not a physical structure rather it is a spiritual structure (Galatians 5). Look at Mathew 6 and see how Sacred Jesus speaks of the things we do unto the Father in secret and time alone. Read 1st Samuel as it talks about the Shepard Boy David that spent time in the wilderness tending to sheep by all alone by himself before being anointed by God through the prophet Samuel. Read Revelation 1 about John The Revelator how he was imprisoned on the island of Patmos, all alone and was revealed to him the visions by God to write while even in his solitude. Read in exodus 20 about Moses being alone with God in mount Sinai to receive the Commandments. Read in Mathew 26 Jesus Christ praying all alone because no one would stay awake to pray with him in the Garden of Gethsemane. So many instances of the men and women of God being alone and hearing his voice. His voice is a small still voice(1st Kings 19). For we are never alone when we have God. There is importance in being alone as there is importance in coming together to edify ourselves and edifying the Body of Christ. Just try not to limit who we are and our identity in Christ down to 4 walls. To be honest there is so much false Gospel out there you need to be careful. But if you are equipped with the Gospel you can now spread truth we’re there is heresy, win souls for Christ. It now becomes an opportunity and not a downfall. But if you go out into the World not equipped with the Armor of God(Ephesians 6) you will either become lost or ill equipped to help the Lost. True worship isn’t just singing at church. Music is a part of worship but true worship is how you live day to day before the Lord. So be very selective of who you entrust to teach you anything and make sure that The Lord God himself is your source for true knowledge. Not man. For man can lead you a stray for we are limited creatures. But Jesus Christ says it best: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 KJV Lastly, I would challenge you before seeking a church seek God first and let God guide you to a church. Spend sometime studying the 4 Gospels until it becomes ingrained in you. Listen or read it over and over with The Holy Ghost guiding you and asking God to reveal it to you as the scriptures say if we ask God anything believing we will receive (Mark 11). So ask God for wisdom and knowledge and you will receive it if you just believe and don’t doubt. You will know who Jesus Christ really is an an intimate way and you will see a clear image in your mind and heart of his ministry. If you find a church that lines up with his ministry you are blessed. Even if they aren’t perfect as You think it should be, it doesn’t matter as long as they are ministering the correct Gospel and truly doing Gods will. This is the most essential. We will all have our little differences on what we think church should be like but as long as the correct Gospel is being preached this is the most important as the Apostle Paul would say. So ask yourself. Do know the correct Gospel? May you discover The Lord in a deeper way and be guided to the truth by the Spirit of truth. 🙏🏽❤️✝️ “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:6-12 KJV “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV
Wrong!!! Do not join yourself to ANY building called a church. None!!!! True believers are NOT supposed to "go to church". Jesus tore down the brick and mortar temple system Himself. Thats in the Bible. And His true followers are now the temple, meaning your body. These "church" buildings are not God's and the Buble says that more than twice. reasy1978 I agree to some one that. We are the church. We still need to gather together some how though, don’t we? Be it inside or outside. Hast to be some type of assembly. “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 KJV Are you also saying that we need you specifically to have a true understanding the the Bible? Also wasn’t the use of the word “physical” clear that I wasn’t referring to a building? Did you actually read the post or did you just copy and paste this response?
Question: I know that church is important and I agree with following the lifestyle of the Messiah and his teachings. But how does one know which church is right? Supporting money hungry preachers? And when your spirituality starving? You can’t just support a church that’s dead and dying. I’m just asking these questions because I see to many people going to church and coming out the same way they went into it. I see to much carnal Christianity. I see to many folks being lead the wrong way. I see to many folks not knowing how to survive spiritual warfare. So how do folks understand the move of the Most High in these churches today and still be lost because of church’s? The message is true but folks need to be directed to the right kind of churches to support as well as grow spiritually the right way. To many folks going to hell from church now that should raise a red flag. One thing in this video the brother forgot to mention is when he mention Christ going to the church which in his day is called synagogues. And most of the time Christ went in there to preach and teach the people the right way aside of the wrong teachings of the priests. That’s why I pose these questions, yes church is important but getting to the right ones is even more important. We just can’t go around strengthening the hands of evil doers in churches. And one more important reason is we are taught in the Holy scriptures by the apostle Paul not to forget to assemble ourselves with one another. Church is to be like a hospital! It’s sad to see in these days no one is getting better!
The concept of ”GOING TO CHURCH” (period) is greatly misleading. The church of God is not a place, a building, or an event that can be attended. We ARE the church - the body of Christ. I attempted to address this issue in a recent video. I am hoping that CLARITY will help bring unity in the body of Christ. ua-cam.com/video/n6N6lEThuMk/v-deo.html
you are saying.all these nice things about church ...but the question is what is the church or WHO is the church ??? the church ..the church ..the church .....are u promoting peoplw to go to physical building or are you promoting to practice Christianity what the Bible tells to do outside of a building ....
Great question Glory! I would say both. We need to BE the church outside of the four walls. I would also encourage us to GO to church as well so that we can experience the community aspect that God desires for our lives.
So you are saying that in order for us to experience this community aspect..fellowship. ..is only inside the 4 walls of a building ...? What about 2 Christian people getting together to read the bible and pray ?..isn't that also experiencing community?
Servus Christi good question, he responded to ppl thanking him but won't answer the question. So it's not like he doesn't see it... This is quite telling.
@@glorygr6 Of course you can experience Christian community outside of church. Why does that mean we shouldn't make an effort to find a group of Christians we can fellowship with "inside a building with 4 walls"? It's hard to be a part of a a family when we aren't present to take part in the experience. One thing we should all keep in mind is that there are often people "we don't like" in our family. That may very well be some people that we meet at church. We need to be an example of Christ in the situations where we come across people we don't like and show them love regardless of how they treat us. We all feel like, "if someone looks at me cross when I go to church i'm not welcome and I should just leave and have "church" at my house all alone apart from my family". That's ridiculous, and it's something I've done in the past so I have grounds to speak on the matter. It is foolishness. I am too focused on man and not focused enough on the God I came to worship.
My grandparents on my mums side don't go to the church here in Grimsby and they're just fine Christians. Sure I'm an Atheist so I am not nearly as familiar with the Christian thought and that may not make me understand this situation that could be controversial but I have met a generous amount of my teachers that are loyal Christians and they don't go the Church.
Thank you for your comment Nicholas. I don't believe someone has to go to church to be a Christian. I just believe it helps us grow spiritually in many ways. I'm curious to know why you are an atheist. Care to share?
Thank you for the response and so I shall answer your question. I did careful consideration to make sure I got the details right so sorry for the wait. My path to Atheism likely happened more subconsciously as for I never really knew I was Atheist until I heard that word. I believe for a while I was actually holding Christian and Atheist beliefs at the same time for quite a while and I'm not sure why but I just thought they just fitted together. I don't why exactly I became Atheist but that is why it happened more subconsciously. I think I eventually realized that The Bible has parts of it that argue the theory of evolution and the Big Bang, so without knowing just made a decision as to which belief I would follow. I know parts of this may not make sense and may jump around but I really don't know how to explain the path I followed to my belief so sorry if parts of this don't go into the detail you wanted but this is how I explain it.
Why I stopped going to Church - Religious spirits - Gets me confused on why there is so many different types of Christian Churches --- baptism, pentecostal, etc If there is one God, one bible why is there so many different types of Churches? - I am broke and so can't afford nice church clothes. Me going to church with jeans & looking bummy, I get the awkward judgemental looks. - False beliefs. Churches now a days are run by men instead of God & the bible. Not going to associate myself with churches that celebrate halloween, doesnt believe in doing deliverances
Maybe you have low self esteem and you interpret every person looking at you as looking at you judgmentally. It's probably just your imagination, that they are thinking you as a bum.
Cole The VII I feel I can answer. Very few churches gather on the actual Sabbath day, honestly I think Catholics are the only ones who do. As they hold services daily. But Easter is considered the Lord's day because of his resurrection. Gathering Sunday and recognizing that as the Sabbath I believe is ok. God made the Sabbath day for us. A day set aside to rest...... so long as it is kept holy I don't see harm in it...... besides the way we in the western world are we begin our weeks on Monday anyway so Sunday would actually be our Sabbath....... pray for clarification as God reveals all😉
Way off here Jo Mo. Jesus was NOT resurrected on Sunday or Easter for that matter. It would appear that he was raised on the day AFTER Unleavened Bread which would be the 16th AND also the first day of the week since Sabbath (weekly AND the first day of Unleavened Bread) fell on the 15th and this particular Sabbath was a "high day" because it was both the weekly Sabbath AND the first day of Unleavened Bread. There was not even such a thing as "Sunday" in Jesus's day and it was an 8 day week for the Romans with the names of the days of the week as letters A-H on the FIRST Julian calendar. (not the second one that changed to 7 days still with letters A-G then) Obviously today we are n the Gregorian calendar. Jews kept their Sabbaths (which are called "Moedim" which means "appointed days") by the cycle of the moon, NOT the sun. So if we are being technical and I am, the Moedim (appointed times like Sabbath and festival days) according to scripture should be calculated by the Soli-lunar calendar which starts every month with a new moon. The moon guides the setting of the months and the sun guiding what constitutes a day as in "sunrise to sunset". But the MOON appoints the days of the month. Every month starts with a "new moon" (chodesh) See the literal Hebrew words in Psalm 104:19. You will see I am being honest. This means they were not on a continuous cycle of a Sabbath every seven days like they are today because the moon has a 29.5 day cycle. So there was a new moon at the first day, then 7 days later on the 8th a Sabbath, then the 15th, the 22nd, the 29th and then 0-1 day until new moon then you start all over with the 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th etc. Every other month were 29 and 30 days. Occasionally an extra month was added and this is evident in Ezekiel 4 and 8 from the time Ezekiel lays on his side for the full 430 days for both the house of Judah and the house of Israel until the time he is sitting in his house after he is done includes the extra month that year. Jews changed their Sabbath to Saturday and again-Jews could NOT be keeping their Sabbath on "Saturday" in Jesus's day because there was no such thing as "Saturday". Jews counted time as "First day of the Sabbath, second day of the Sabbath, third day of the Sabbath" and so forth until they got to the actual Sabbath day. They changed their Sabbath to Saturday to be more compliant with the world pagan calendar system. True fact. This isn't something I learned at church, this is something I spent weeks studying out in scripture about the new moons and the Sabbaths then I looked at history to see when and how it changed. There are three kinds of days in scripture: New moon days, work days and Sabbaths-all different. Sadly, we live in a pagan world with a pagan reckoning of time. This is why Daniel said that the king to come would think to change the times and laws of God. (Daniel 7:25) this prophesy has already happened. God created time when he made the sun and moon. (Genesis 1:14) God operates completely outside of our worldly system and only those who have the Spirit and seek truth will see these things as they STUDY (not just read) the Bible line upon line and precept upon precept rightly dividing the word of God and studying to show thyself approved. Now, if we WANT to meet everyday of the week-fantastic! That's what the early believers in Messiah did BY CHOICE. But it is not required according to God's law. What IS required is rest on the True Sabbath AND honoring GOD'S Sabbaths and the festival days which are special Sabbaths called "high Sabbaths" where some do require rest while others call for celebration and meeting with the congregation of other believers. There is one exception of a Sabbath that does not fall on one of the regular weekly Sabbaths and that is the Day of Atonement which is on the 10th which is not a weekly Sabbath therefore it is not considered a "high day" or high Sabbath. But don't just take my word for these things, by all means study them out. We are told to TEST EVERYTHING. If you are able to see this in scripture, it will not be well received because people in powerful positions in ANY Denomination have their minds set on their own church doctrine and do not like being told the truth of Scripture when it contradicts their dogma. I go to church. Mostly I keep these truths to myself or blog about them. If people are not ready and prepared by the Spirit to hear the truth it doesn't do much good to tell them. These are not necessarily salvation issues, so there is no need to beat people over the head with it, but you said Sunday was a Sabbath and Easter was a special day and I could not let that go unchecked.
I'm in no way judging? But a lot of people I've met a lot of believers that don't go to church just go around bashing the church,no matter how much you know about the word of God? There will always be someone more knowledged than you. That's why I feel it's essential to be involved in the church. So that we'll be held accountable and grow spiritually
sir. You totally took church out of context. we're the church. Jesus is coming back for his people not a building. this is the main reason why I don't go to church comma people preach what they have been taught and it a lot of time is wrong. I've had my most in life spiritual growth when I asked God to show me the truth in his word and I challenge what I've Been Told by other preachers. I've had preachers twist scriptures on me to get me to do what they wanted me to.
jermaine pearson you're not alone I'm under a lot of pressure right now trying to keep healthy relations with brethren who are fixated to what they were taught when they started. My salvation came quite differently,God met me at a sinner's table and changed my heart for months then I decided to try out church attendance and I honestly have no peace cause I feel forced to believe what they believe. Please pray for me cause God has also showed me in my dreams that it is not a good place for me.
@@lungilemtsweni4160 Dont always trust your "dreams" sent by God. We need to put everything to the test of Scripture. ua-cam.com/video/R20mCvTT8Wc/v-deo.html
Everyone knows that the church isn't a building. But the church DOES generally meet IN a building. If you're claiming to be a Christian and not regularly gathering with other believers, you're not following through with New Testament teaching.
If you do not have a godly church 💒 in your area that follows word for word ...the wholesome words and the doctrines of our lord Jesus Christ ,stay at home and read your bible . If you remain in any church that doesn't follow the foot steps of Christ or pray etc ,you will be partaking in their sin.You can find true believers and fellowship with them outside churches💒If you pray God will lead you to true believers. You can know them by their fruits.🍉🍎 Most churches do not call Jesus Lord anymore!Be wise!
Due to health issues and issues at my local church I've not attended in years - been praying for help on what to do, and starting to think I should look for online services. I want to glorify God with what I do: and to motivate to fix areas that don't align well.
God sees all believe me! Don’t feel Pressured In not pleasing God. As long as your faith there. You pray to him , you give thanks to Him. And you love him.. God is satisfied… god knows of your problems and that’s something between you and God … be in peace
Asking someone what church they go to is like asking what color is 3pm, or asking how blue tastes. They're nonsense questions. Notice how Paul never wrote to a building but to a group of people meeting in one.
Church is where the followers of Christ gather to fellowship ,to exhort, to rebuke and to keep reminding ourselves to live n endure sound doctrine as we wait for our Lord's return.
We are the Church ("Assembly" or the Gathering of Believers) not the building. Galatians 1:13. What we have lost is not the attending of buildings but the body life (the mutual care, serving, fellowship, hospitality, encouragement) throughout the week.
I haven’t been attending church lately I’d go but I’m scared that ppl there might bully me or ask me questions like why haven’t you been at church and I’m scared to tell them why
Eph 4:3-6: "Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." ONE!! Do you see how sad the testimony of Christendom is? When are they divided by different names more than the name of Christ? Does it come to us that this is denying the testimony of the practice of "one body"?!No "Christian" denomination represents the name of Christ.
I only watched this because I have a somewhat unique situation and have been fighting myself on what to do. I work in a church but because I work on Sundays, I don't get to attend service regularly (usually once a month). I wasn't sure if it was wrong as I always hear people say we should physically go into service, not just settle for watching it online.
No Jesus did not got to church. What scripture says is He went into THEIR (meaning the Jews') synagogues TO REASON WITH THEM. It never says He went in them to worship. Read in correct context.
First of all I dont agree. Cause you can use your gifts that God gave you on the highways and byways primarily I have used what God has given me in the streets in 2 states so....Secondly,I dont think it was correct for you state God will ask you how did you use your talents just because you did not use them in the building call church.
Hello Shadae, thank you for your reply. I didn't mean to suggest that the church was the only place to use your gifts. Heck, if I believed that then I would not have started this UA-cam channel right? The vision for this channel was to go global and reach people worldwide, not just the church. So, we are in agreement there. However, we will give an account for how we used our gifts and talents whether inside or outside the church. Many people use the excuse and say, "I don't have to go to church to use my gifts." That's true. But my question to them is, "Do you use your gifts outside the church?" Many people don't. Thoughts?
@@thebeatagp you are the one misleading people. NOWHERE does scripture say true believers must attend temple services. Thats NOT true worship. Scripture CLEARLY says more than once that GOD DOES NOT DWELL IN TEMPLES MADE WITH HANDS. Also, Jesus Himself put an end to the brick and mortar temple system. Nobody authorized man to rebuild it but Satan. So you really need to do some studying via THE HOLY SPIRIT.
If you are carrying a burden pray directly to god though his Son Jesus, why to other people or church member? who is powerful and a healer? those church member or god himself? I dont go to church but I talk to god everyday and he answered all my prayers.
I just want to go hear a sermon, sing, put some money in the plate and go home. I don't want to make small talk with anyone and pretend to like people I don't even know. I get the feeling a lot of other people there feel the same way towards people they really don't know. Another thing I Don't like is when the pastor is talking about church business or showing slides that have nothing to with God or his word during the time that is supposed to be devoted to God's word. I come there for one reason and that is to join with other believers to praise the Lord and get some word and go home.
@@reasy1978 The people are the Church. A building is merely a sanctuary where we meet at. A location for God's people to fellowship together. Church IS necessary. Not the building, but the fellowship and the service. Christianity is not a personal religion. It's corporate.
he's confusing the meaning of church when he says in church or church is a place. church is not a building 4 walls real church is group Jesus followers built together as one body (family) - discipled and lead by the Spirit aka Jesus look back at Jesus and his desiples (body in Christ) He took his church everywere wilderness, flee markets, and towns where there will be challenges through Faith so his desiples get to know Jesus more in there relationship that He is God and He is salvation but in our American culture churches most percent have given up Faith in Jesus and been lead by mens works and became followers of men(religious/secular) men have turn church into a box keep you bussy they out there cuz worried you get dirty (like the pharisees thought) theater lip service entertainment the performers and audience come to speak/hear the truth/the gospel but most don't have the passions or character to want to live out the Gospel while a few do. open your bible and read Jude it will speek more be a living active church be a salt in light salt doesn't stay gathered up in a jar then there wouldn't be an experience of the flavor why gather more candles box better to spread them out cuz less space more heat (out of control, pride and jealousy) can cause fire. take light where it needs to shine to the dark.
Just because church is not a building does nof mean you can’t meet the church at the building you gotta meet them somewhere and building happens to be the place to meet them. Scripture is meant to guide us not manipulate it to suit our laziness
It's impossible to be a true child of God and not go to church. " As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another" it's selfish to not go and then make excuses. God knows your hearts and the real reasons why we go or don't go. I don't feel like going every week but I don't go by how I'm feeling that day. It's not an emotional decision, it's a life long choice, as long as his grace will take me. Think of this verse. " My grace is enough for you for my strength and made perfect in weaknesses" God doesn't give us more grace than we need nor does he give us too little. Like the pastor said in the video. God wants you to use your gift to glorify him. The church also needs talents and some of our resources that God has blessed us with. The pastor cannot pay all the bills on his own. My question is to people who makes excuses. Why will God gives us gifts that we will never use?
The main problem I recognize with your statement was already answered by Jesus. He said the temple will be destroyed and in 3 days (His Body) will raise it up. The church leaders and officals were stuck on a building and missed Christ totally, and actually begin plotting to kill Christ. Whether or not believers have a building or not, an ark, or any physical representation of Christ body; Believer's will use their gifts where Jesus intended us too. God will continue to pair the believer's He needs together, to accomplish His will. "Whether two or three gather, Jesus will be in the midst. Why would Jesus do this? To be salt (flavors) and light (illuminates) to the world (marketplace), Not to be buried under a basket (building).
Verna Manning thank you for your reply. The thing we have to remember about when Jesus was alive on earth is that that time period was before he went to the cross. That means that everyone and everything was still under the old law, the old covenant, the old testament. Things changed after the cross. And one of the things that changed was that there was no special day where people had to attend the assembly. As Paul says, every day is alike. However, I want to be clear, there is nothing wrong with continuing to observe the Sabbath today.
Is the Sabbath day not apart of the law? The law that Jesus abolished when he sacrificed his life.. didn’t Paul tell us in Galatians that if we do one part of the law we must do them all and we Have fallen from grace... “For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” Galatians 5:3-4
Most of us are guilty of seeing in the Bible only what we want to see, whether or not we want to own up to that fact. That said, what do we do with verses such as Hebrews 10:25, which tells us not to forsake assembling ourselves together, as some do. Also 1Timothy 3:15 which tells us what the pillar and ground of the truth is. Also, what about Matthew 16:18, what does Jesus say he will do in that verse. I believe that the teachings Jesus gave his apostles, they in turn taught, and passed those teachings on through faithful men they chose as their successors, aka bishops, who were to faithfully pass those teachings generation by generation throughout time, to the present day! Notice please, I said bishops, not just one bishop in one particular city. I believe God uses the various denominations, to draw us to Himself, but I think He means for us to find that faith which was once delivered to the saints.
i'v been involved in the church for 40 yrs.and i have never seen any church that cares about their people one way or another.oh they care about their tithe and offering money but if your broke they couldn't care less if you'r there or not. if your broke even if you don't show up for weeks at the time nobody cares.and it's like that in all the different church's i'v been to.never seen any difference.but i still don't give up because i know even though they may be like that, that's not the way my God is He love's us rich or poor.he looks at what's inside us not at the outside.sorry for being so long winded.thank you for your time.
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.“ - Mathew 6:5 Mhh "Do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues." that basically means we should not go to church when we pray, but the church is basically all about praying, right?.
Churches are closed here in the UK during lock down. I miss it so much. Our pastor has done a great job of broadcasting every Sunday via You Tube, but I look forward to meeting up again properly in future.
THE BEAT by Allen Parr Sooo, will I go to hell if I don't visit churches?
THE BEAT by Allen Parr Answer immedietly.
Be blessed

God bless
BlueFlarePictures it's a shame ppl blur the body and the building together. If "church" was more like the church of Acts, I'd understand.
Amen
Thank you so much for saying that
Then if that is the choice a specific Christian is making, to not attend a “building”, I pose a follow up question. What instead are they doing to actively grow alongside other Christians in Christ? Because that IS Biblical.
To live along side, fellowship, and worship with other Christians. We weren’t called to stand alone in our praise and worship and learning.
So if you aren’t “going to Church”
where are you getting that source? Are you active in a home small group? A weekly in house worship session? A Christian community group? There has to be something.
You alone are not the church. You can’t be.
But you AND I?? We are. Together. So stand with me brother, and we can love and praise Him together. We can reach others together.
And you know where the most CONVENIENT place for people to do that is? ..... at a church building.
I agree. I attempted to address this issue in a recent video. I am hoping the clarity will help bring unity in the body of Christ.

He didn't ask must we go to church. He said do we need to go to church
I feel rejected at church. I feel alone. Feel like when people say they are hear for you they are really not.
Exactly. That's the way it should be.

I'm grateful for this exhortation. It has inspired me to do what I know is right to do for my own benefit. I've been visiting multiple assemblies without commitment. And I know I've gotta plug in.
I thank God & I thank you brother.

Thank you so much for this strong word!!! Showing this to my students later today.

The Holy Spirit is actually trying to draw the masses OUT of these false church buildings.
Hebrews 10:24 - 25 says we should not neglect to assemble ourselves with fellow believers.
[34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Luke 14:33 (KJV) "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."
So we can gather to do this wherever as long as we are together.
The biggest spiritual battles are IN THE CHURCH. Witchcraft is prevelant.
I'm home bound and my church has become the screen and the word of God. I wish I could.
Hey buddy, let me know if you find this blog I wrote a while back helpful. Thanks,
www.allenparr.com/blog/how-to-choose-a-church/
So I read the blog. Do I just walk into a church and investigate the church through the lens of the seven questions? ask people questions listen to sermons?
johnetan pitaluga You listen to what is taught to make sure it is Biblical. Also, let the Holy Spirit guide you
The church is from the heart. Not four walls or buildings or temples.
1 Corinthians 3:16 King James Version (KJV)
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
Ephesians 3:17 King James Version (KJV)
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,”
2 Corinthians 6:16
King James Version (KJV)
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
Acts 7:48-49 King James Version (KJV)
“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?”
Acts 17:24-25 King James Version (KJV)
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;”
Better? I am sure you will feel more confident!
Brother their corrupt.seek the Lord Jesus Christ,it will be opened to you if you seek until you find no matter what
Church is on my phone and i can learn more from it i believe. Thanks Allen for these great online bible lessons. I find i can watch a video or 2 during a quiet time of the day and reflect on what i have just learnt.
Do you go to church? Or you just doing a quiet time everyday?
A Church is not a building, it is the people who make the church.
Anyone who tells you that you have to go to "a church" to be Christian are either misguided or they benefit from having sheep erm... I mean followers to fleece.
The Church is not one of Earth, but the Heavens.
We do not attend a physical building, we attend a spiritual one, a communion and covenant between Man and God is what Church really is.
Lord Ashura You should go to church every week instead of doing other stuff
The bible says we are not to forsake the assembly of one another Hebrews 10:5
If a person stops going to the church because "people hurt them", or "they judge too much", or "they are hypocrites," is that person going to church because of God or the people? I am homebound and physically unable to leave my home. I wish I could go to church. If people in that church treat me bad, that's on them, not on me. I go to hear the Gospel, not for people.
You can hear the gospel in your Bible .. and research
I love Jesus I love God they’re always going to be in my heart everywhere I go I always think of them I will never forget them they’ve done so much for me in my good days and especially my back days I will never never lose faith.
www.crossway.org/articles/12-principles-for-disagreeing-with-other-christians/
One last thing I can't stand is when Churches pressure people to give %10 of their earnings. One pastor, at this megachurch I used to attend, went on about how he gave %10 percent pre-tax every payday as if to guilt us into doing likewise. If a pastor every tells you that, tell him that Uncle Sam already got your first %10. The church I attend know does NOT pressure people for money at all. And I really like that a lot.
I agree, church these days are more like businesses because they’re many lost people in the church.
Plus the Bible means we should give to others as Christ gave to us, like helping homeless people or someone who’s actually in need.
The church would try to switch scripture for their own benefits and abuse it.
I'm an introvert. I believe you can live without church, but not with out God.
I Used to be very out going, Loved going anywhere including church. But i have become a recluse. I dont like/want to do anything. I do watch sermons, Allen Parr etc. On Sundays.
I would like to find a church with people my own age someday.
I Love the Lord and i Know he Loves me
The true church is the body of Christ, the elect not the building churches. The majority have been corrupted.
Thank you for sharing this video
Amen! Very powerful. Do you still believe this? I know it's been a month. Lol
Yes church is the people.
Yes church is also a building.
Can we move on people and stop squabbling over the little things like what exactly a word means? Philippians 2:14. Read it.
Very solid, practical and simple counsel. Great video!
Well that’s alarming. Jesus is the way, the truth and the Life. Choose life beloved
Yes its says honor the sabbath. Even my bible study says it does mean going to church if you refuse. Take one hour weekly alone by a quiet place talk to him bring your bible . Your still making private time with God doesnt mean you have to go to a building 😊
Amen all true! If you love God and have the Spirit you will want church, you will hunger for it, feel something is missing without it.
Church is from the heart.

Paul made it very clear.
Wrong!!! The world needs us. The word says, fail not to ASSEMBLE. Yes. We need to come together. We can come together at other places. Not just a church building.
I still fellowship with Believers even though I don't belonging to a particular Church. I will find one to be of service to as the Holy Spirit leads.
That is awesome! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and for sharing your perspective Eli Ben!

So should we go to church on Saturday or Sunday?
I want to know too
@Have Mercy could you please pass me verse about God not dwelling in buildings?
@@damian0x51b4 www.crossway.org/articles/12-principles-for-disagreeing-with-other-christians/
What church do you go to and when do they preach, teach. Depends on that also. Hope you find the answer to the rest of your question
Yes it's sad but the real churches still exist. God is able to lead you to a God church all depend of him.
But Jesus Christ says it best:
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26 KJV
Lastly, I would challenge you before seeking a church seek God first and let God guide you to a church.

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Galatians 1:6-12 KJV
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV
I agree to some one that. We are the church. We still need to gather together some how though, don’t we? Be it inside or outside. Hast to be some type of assembly.
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 KJV
Are you also saying that we need you specifically to have a true understanding the the Bible?
Also wasn’t the use of the word “physical” clear that I wasn’t referring to a building?
Did you actually read the post or did you just copy and paste this response?
People be making up excuses, church is a valuable aspect for Christians, ain’t no way around it!
Great question Carol. Perhaps a blog I wrote on this a while back may help you. Here is the link! www.allenparr.com/blog/how-to-choose-a-church/

Ok I’ll check it out
It's never about the materialistic church. It's all about the heart.

Yes for our children
you are saying.all these nice things about church ...but the question is what is the church or WHO is the church ??? the church ..the church ..the church .....are u promoting peoplw to go to physical building or are you promoting to practice Christianity what the Bible tells to do outside of a building ....
What about 2 Christian people getting together to read the bible and pray ?..isn't that also experiencing community?
glorygr6 Wonder why he didn't answer? Lol
I’ve told my parents to sign me up for church and to get me a bible to study. I’m also going to a Christian camp. I couldn’t be more proud.
Why I stopped going to Church
- Religious spirits
- Gets me confused on why there is so many different types of Christian Churches --- baptism, pentecostal, etc
If there is one God, one bible why is there so many different types of Churches?
- I am broke and so can't afford nice church clothes. Me going to church with jeans & looking bummy, I get the awkward judgemental looks.
- False beliefs. Churches now a days are run by men instead of God & the bible. Not going to associate myself with churches that celebrate halloween, doesnt believe in doing deliverances
Maybe you have low self esteem and you interpret every person looking at you as looking at you judgmentally. It's probably just your imagination, that they are thinking you as a bum.
Hey Allen, what church do you go to? like the type of church. And is the service on the Sabbath?
they are pagans, they don't keep the law
Who?
people going to church are pagans . they do not keep the commandments
👏👏👏😘

👏👏👏
Another great job, Allen!
Thanks Ted! I had a crazy idea of doing a collaboration video perhaps some time in the future!
Yeah right. !!! Okay , whatever !!! You 2 need to get together and read the ( bible ) as you haven't a clue of who God truly is.
Just what I needed to hear. Thanks Allen!
You can know them by their fruits.🍉🍎
Most churches do not call Jesus Lord anymore!Be wise!
Due to health issues and issues at my local church I've not attended in years - been praying for help on what to do, and starting to think I should look for online services.
I want to glorify God with what I do: and to motivate to fix areas that don't align well.
God sees all believe me! Don’t feel
Pressured In not pleasing God. As long as your faith there. You pray to him , you give thanks to
Him.
Denominations. We're made by man. GOD don't care about that
Church is where the followers of Christ gather to fellowship ,to exhort, to rebuke and to keep reminding ourselves to live n endure sound doctrine as we wait for our Lord's return.
We can’t go to Church! We are the Church? How can you go to something you are? #sillyrabbit #tricksareforchildren
Remember those people are not your God they do not have power over your life
Eph 4:3-6: "Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Are you Denzel Washington's brother?
I only watched this because I have a somewhat unique situation and have been fighting myself on what to do. I work in a church but because I work on Sundays, I don't get to attend service regularly (usually once a month). I wasn't sure if it was wrong as I always hear people say we should physically go into service, not just settle for watching it online.
If jesus went to church on Saturday why is church being attended to only on sunday? If we are to follow jesus...
Lexi Music Jesus was Jewish
the Roman Catholic church is why
No Jesus did not got to church. What scripture says is He went into THEIR (meaning the Jews') synagogues TO REASON WITH THEM. It never says He went in them to worship. Read in correct context.
So true going to church is so important
First of all I dont agree. Cause you can use your gifts that God gave you on the highways and byways
primarily I have used what God has given me in the streets in 2 states so....Secondly,I dont think it was correct for you state God will ask you how did you use your talents just because you did not use them in the building call church.
You don't desire to fellowship with the people who are also part of the body?
True believers are NOT supposed to "go to church". Jesus tore down the brick and mortar temple system Himself. Thats in the Bible. And His true followers are now the temple, meaning your body. These "church" buildings are not God's and the Buble says that more than twice. People don't study and thats why they think calling themselves Christians and going to these buildings is right, but ITS NOT. Anyone who is interested in getting a REAL study with scriptures to prove that Christianity is NOT the true church of Christ Jesus, e-mail me at twomaysecond@yahoo.com
@@reasy1978 The people are the Church. A building is merely a sanctuary where we meet at. A location for God's people to fellowship together. Church IS necessary. Not the building, but the fellowship and the service. Christianity is not a personal religion. It's corporate.
Let’s not give up meeting. As some are in the habit of doing.
he's confusing the meaning of church when he says
in church or church
is a place.
church is not a building 4 walls
real church is group Jesus followers
built together as one body (family) - discipled and lead by the Spirit aka Jesus
look back at Jesus and his desiples (body in Christ) He took his church everywere wilderness, flee markets, and towns where there will be challenges through Faith so his desiples get to know Jesus more in there relationship that He is God and He is salvation but
in our American culture churches most percent have given up Faith in Jesus and been lead by mens works and became followers of men(religious/secular)
men have turn
church into a box
keep you bussy they out there cuz worried you get dirty (like the pharisees thought)
theater lip service entertainment the
performers and audience come to speak/hear the truth/the gospel but most don't have the passions or character to want to live out the Gospel while a few do.
open your bible and read Jude it will speek more
be a living active church
be a salt in light
salt doesn't stay gathered up in a jar
then there wouldn't be an experience of the flavor
why gather more candles box better to spread them out cuz less space more heat (out of control, pride and jealousy) can cause fire.
take light where it needs to shine to the dark.

To be salt (flavors) and light (illuminates) to the world (marketplace), Not to be buried under a basket (building).
you are double- minded you just said Jesus went to church on Saturday and he is our example, so why not follow his example.
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.”
Galatians 5:3-4
Jesus was a New, and Jews worship on the Sabbath. The church was born on the day of Pentecost Acts chapter 2
This helped me a lot
