In my personal walk with christ, there have been times I have backslid, however, just in those backsliding time when my fleshly spirit did the things that didnt agree and life started to take a turn for the worse, God never gave up on me he sent laborers on the way and put me in circumstances where i had no choice but to turn back to him. Granted it is a growing process because my backsliding was a result of getting sucked in by the lies of the enemy and i fell farther into sin but i didnt originally intend to sin. Each time when he restores me and pulls me back i grow in knowledge of him. To me it reminds me of when God starts a work in you hes gonna finish it.
    God bless

Jon Singleton I have followed much of your thread and it appears that you are striving hard to debate with others to prove them wrong because you believe you have it all down, drawn out and put together. Brother, if you want to talk about something Biblical your talking it, it’s that biblical term Pride. To assume your position is dangerous and you should confess this area of your life to Jesus Christ and allow Him to rid you from this.
Even this young woman who gave a testimony of how she walked away from God and was like the prodigal daughter and God pursued her in her backslidden state is the Agape love of God Almighty. I to walked away for sometime, but God never gave up on me. I came back praise God, because He didn’t want me to stay in that backslidden state. God is merciful to us all, and none of us are even worthy enough to deserve this gift of salvation that he offers freely to us. Some of the greatest apostasy that’s running rampant in the church today are self righteous people preaching a message that they themselves aren’t even able to live or abide by. They walk in arrogance and great pride like they have arrived. The fact is, none of us have truly arrived. We are always being changed and transformed to be more like Him. We must be teachable because the moment we stop, Pride takes the lead.

@@labae8728 Your anti-Catholic sentiments are quite wrong and you need to get your facts right. If you really believe in praying to Jesus for yourself (in the way you seem to be trying to articulate, i.e. excluding intercessors), then logically you would have to condemn "Christians" for asking their fellow "Christians" to pray for them, in order to be consistent. Catholics do pray to Jesus directly, by the way. You need to stop all the anti-Catholic garbage and make consulting this information your number one priority. Your version of Christianity is a counterfeit, and is unhistorical and unbiblical. The Catholic Church is the original Church and you need to belong to it for eternal salvation. Before you dismiss this information by saying you only stick with the Bible, you should know that the very term "Bible" as applied to the books of the Old and New Testaments, comes from St. John Chrysostom, who was a fourth century Catholic bishop. This fact was acknowledged by Protestant scholar, F.F. Bruce. You can see more about this in the video, The First Use of The Bible: ua-cam.com/video/ly137br9ctY/v-deo.html
Also, the Catholic Church decided what books were to be in the Bible, so you don't even have a Bible without the Catholic Church. The Bible did not fall out of the sky intact. It was put together by the Catholic Church, which is the Church Jesus established (Matthew 16:18-19). You can't be a follower of Jesus unless you accept all of His teaching and hear His Church. That only happens in the traditional Catholic faith. Additionally, if you're one to label the Catholic use of statues as idolatrous, then your problem would be with God and the Bible, because God specifically commands the making of religious statues. The Bible does not condemn the use of true religious statues and images. See Exodus 25:17-19 below (and keep in mind that cherubim are angels):
And thou shalt make a mercy seat pure gold: two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims gold, beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
Other Bible references which show God's command to make statues for true religious purposes are: Exodus 26:1, 1 Kings 6, 1 Kings 7:25-36 and Numbers 21:8. For more information about what the Bible teaches regarding the use of true religious statues and praying to Saints (not worshipping Saints), please see this audio with Bible references for one's learning: www.mostholyfamilymonastery.com/catholicchurch/bible-praying-to-saints/#.Xy2Eay2ZPs0

As a pastor who once was miles from God and knowing I was not covered by His mighty grace any longer, I believe with such an important doctrine where people’s eternal security rests, the topic needs much study to support such a stand. I appreciate your efforts here to help other believers.
For the record, I don’t believe that God throws us out but rather humankind has free will. So if someone decides to reject Christianity years later and live a satanic life or just godless existence, then why would this person deserve to live with Jesus in heaven when he clearly didn’t want to live with Him here?!
I think in order to decide upon and to preach a doctrine, you need firstly not to find scriptures that support your view especially if the are plenty of scriptures saying the opposite.
I would like to hear you overcome the many parables, warnings and teachings all through the Bible before we disregard and ignore clear teachings in the word. Especially when we are warned not to preach a foreign gospel or add to the word.
    Here are just a few;
    1. 10 virgins, 5 that don’t make it and yet all are called and waiting
    2. Unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit where there is no forgiveness. Why would you need this if not saved.
    3. Parable of talents, 1 slothful servant of God
    4. Rebukes to seven churches, return or have your lamp stand put out
    5. Matt 18 dealing with conflict in the church, last move to put the person outside under Satans control so that they maybe saved
    6. Tasting of the heavenly gifts and partaken in the Holy Spirit but falling away there is no forgiveness of their sin
    7. Rev 12 leave the out Court worshipers
    8. Prodigal son, was he restored if he stayed in the pig pen of life?
There’s plenty more. What are your thoughts?

So far, none of these you have listed say anything about anyone losing salvation after being in Christ while being used in context.
Of course if you separate them from context and study them as stand alone verses, then yes. I guess you can make the argument that it's possible to lose salvation if you twist the meaning to fit a certain view.

Love you brother, but you misquoted scripture. You said, “All that the Father has given me, I will not lose one” (7:50). That’s not what the Bible says and is very misleading. The Bible clearly says that it is the WILL OF GOD that He does not lose one. Big difference. It’s also the will if God that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance; but the will of God is not always accomplished.
It pains me to see this doctrine promulgated as it is. There is a great apostasy coming (2 Th 2:3, 1 Tim 4:1, Mat 24:9-13) and we should be warning believers as the Bible does (Heb 3:12, for example). Instead, many are receiving false assurance because of teachings like this.

The Scriptures are the final authority on which we base our beliefs. But if our beliefs are based on a misinterpretation of the Scripture we’ll continue to teach it incorrectly. I knew there was a Scripture about the great falling away. And that falling away refers to the Saints. This supports the idea of being able to forfeit entering into the kingdom of God by our own choice.

@@jamesjeson556 I don't believe it is speaking of those who are born again because the next verse says that those who depart from the faith were liars, having their conscience seared, etc. 80% of Americans claim they are of the Christian faith, but that doesn't mean they are born again. We see many departing from the teachings of the faith and are believing lies, but they were never OF the faith. If one truly believes eternal life is by the grace of God through faith in that grace, they would never depart. The problem with those who believe they can lose their salvation is that they don't actually put their faith in Jesus Christ. They put it in their own ability. Those are ones who will depart from the faith because they never really believed the Gospel.

But I believe rejecting God and backsliding are two different things. We can’t make the judgement of a persons salvation because we can’t see into a persons heart, their salvation or lack of salvation is between them and God.

Hi Allen, I will reply to this, as you asked - with a scripture. I think it speaks well enough for itself:
"For it is impossible to BRING BACK TO REPENTANCE (Meaning there has been one previously), those who were once enlightened - those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come - and who THEN TURN AWAY from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him to public shame.
When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a good crop for the farmer, it has God's blessing. But if a field bears thorns and thistles, it is useless. The farmer will soon condemn that field and burn it."

Ok, Buddy, ( good channel, I respect what you are doing) I just started watching this video and had to comment at 1:42 already ( and I will continue to watch afterward). You preface your statement of "once saved always saved" by saying; " Once you become a GENUINE follower of Jesus Christ ". THAT is where the issue begins in my humble opinion. We need to all have the same definition of what is a "Genuine follower of Christ' . 2 John in verse 8 says " 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.( end) Now, with that being said. Some people's experience in being saved involved nothing more than a guy asking someone " Are you saved?" and the person says " No". "Would you like to be"? " Yes". Then say this prayer and yahoo they are saved and they give it no thought ever again. To some, that is the experience that they have based their salvation on. That person may think that they are saved, but in reality, are they? Real salvation is when I fall to my knees and submit my will to the higher authority of God, telling him that I realize that on my own I have NO chance of salvation and that I accept the Blood of Christ to cover me and my sinful nature. Some people think that the prayer is like a magic spell or that God changes sin so it is not sinful anymore, FALSE. God changes the sinner and real faith is a faith that works and creates fruit. I am really studying this hard right now. We are surely saved by faith and the grace of the Lord but we do not still just wallow in our sins, we still wallow in sin because we have a sinful nature but we do not keep sinning ON PURPOSE and expect God to be happy with that can we? God made law and the penalty for breaking it was and IS death. So now when we become Christian we can break it with no consequence? Did Christ die so I could keep on sinning? This once saved always saved doctrine is a slippery slope. Every time I pray for clarity on these issues It seems God is telling me that the law is only dead for SALVATION. I will close with this my Friend and continue with the video, in Revelation when Jesus comes back, what does He find? It says He finds a one-world government, a one-world currency, an APOSTATE one world church and a remnant.. a remnant of His true believers that " Keep the commandments of God AND the faith of Jesus!

But I have to disagree with you on this subject... you forgot to mention the one thing God with all of His omnipotent and infinite power cannot or He will not do... and that's go against a person's will! Read Ezek. 33:11-20 I likened this to that of the angels they had the right or the freedom to choose but were not offered the gift of salvation. God didn't go against the angels will nor does He go against our will" God doesn't want robots! No one spoke more emphatically about hell then Jesus himself and those who are going there and what it takes to miss the mark. There are too many scriptures to mention that support how a person could choose to lose their salvation" the bottom line is those who practice lawlessness and if they don't repent of their sinful backsliding ways and die in their sin they wont see heaven's gates.

I think part of the problem that leads to the controversy is seeing our salvation as something that is already complete rather than that we are "being saved". We can't lose something that is not complete and by the same token we can't fully have it until it is complete. In fact, salvation really has to do with being "made whole" rather than an idea of being "rescued from hell". He who endures to the end will be saved. Certainly by definition the "elect" are secure and the Lord knows those who are his.

Few false doctrines are more dangerous than the Calvinistic assertion of “eternal security” or “once saved, always saved.”
Sadly, this dangerous doctrine flatly contradicts Scripture, and it is commonly used as a smokescreen to justify sinful lifestyles. In other words, “once saved, always saved” appeals to the most carnal leanings of our humanity. It gives false legitimacy for sin, false comfort to sinners, and builds a pseudo-biblical barrier between countless sinners and repentance.
Let’s put it this way; nothing can force you to separate yourself from God except you. Satan can’t make you do it any more than he made Eve do it. Eve exercised her free will. Adam exercised his free will. And they both suffered the consequences of their actions. Sin separates us from a right relationship with God, but it does not remove us from the love of God. For example, “…(Romans 5:8).” God loves us even while we are in sin, but to say the cross made sin acceptable is to undermine the cross’s necessity in the first place completely. The phrasing shows Paul’s assumption that believers would naturally understand sinful lifestyles must be discarded after salvation. Furthermore, the apostle Peter calls us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, (1 Peter 2:21-22).” A few verses down, he underscores that Jesus “(1 Peter 2:24-25).”
"...Go and sin NO MORE" (Jesus)
    James 4:4
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Wrong understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the freedom to sin."
Right understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the power NOT to sin."
We don’t do good works to become saved, we do good works because we are saved.
OSAS is not Biblical. Please study your Bibles vs listen to man.

If, for instance, you continue to live a life of sin (and that of course, is only between you and God, yet can be highlighted by others in love), then I would say that possibility you were never saved to begin with. But even then, we are led into the dangerous territory of, ok so what is the bar? So if someone tells white lies as a 'Christian' and someone else is found to be continually cheating on their spouse as a 'Christian', then who is 'going to heaven'? By our standards, more likely the first person. By God's standards, none of them except if by Jesus which covers all sin, although yes we should still run from it. I pray that makes sense.

Unfortunately it’s just not what the Bible says. The Bible says that someone who is truly saved and forgiven can in fact lose their salvation. Jesus taught this in Matthew 18:23-35 when he tells the story of a guy who was forgiven of all of his debt but because he refused to forgiven his fellow servant then all of his forgiveness was revoked. Then Jesus said to his disciples this would happen to them as well if they didn’t obey Him. Check it out and come out of your deception.

We find the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant only in Matthew 18:23-35. The Apostle Peter had asked how many times one should forgive, "Till seven times?" and Jesus answered, "Not seven times but seventy times seven" (Matthew 18:21-22). The context of this passage is Jesus teaching His disciples about the "kingdom of heaven." We can take some very important principles from this parable and apply them to our lives today.
The servant whose lord forgave him much, ten thousand talents, equivalent to several millions of dollars, was unwilling to forgive another servant who owed him a hundred denarii. A denarius was a day’s wage and was worth approximately sixteen cents. Therefore, compared to what the first servant was forgiven, this was a very small amount. The principle here is, "the one forgiven much should forgive much." In other words, the principle of forgiveness is that grace or forgiveness to another is without limit. The disciples are not to count the number of times they forgive. Rather, as the parable teaches, they are to forgive much because God has forgiven much.
In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus is presenting a new principle that is similar to the basis of the forgiveness command for believers found in Ephesians 4:32, "And be ye kind to one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you." Jesus is teaching His disciples pre-cross, and therefore in the pre-church age, but the basis for forgiveness is the same. Because God has forgiven us, we are to forgive each other. Therefore, because we have received much grace, "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8), we are commanded to give that same grace to others. In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, the first servant’s debt was forgiven, and he was not required to repay until his unforgiving nature was discovered. In contrast, our sin debt was paid in full by Christ and is the only basis for God’s forgiveness. We cannot repay our debt to God or earn our salvation. It is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Therefore, in the Parable of the Unforgiving / Unmerciful / Unjust Servant, Jesus is teaching His disciples, and us by extension, that forgiveness should be in like proportion to the amount forgiven. The first servant had been forgiven all, and he then should have forgiven all. In like manner, a child of God by faith through Christ has had all sins forgiven. Therefore, when someone offends or sins against us we should be willing to forgive him from a heart of gratitude for the grace to which we ourselves are debtors.
So, yeah... once your saved.... your always saved. Stop preaching add-ons to salvation 😉

Although the Holy Spirit eventually stepped in to warn me in many ways, if I decided to ignore the Holy Spirit I would have lost my inheritance. See I had to ask for repentance and except Jesus back into my life otherwise I would have been working for the devil. We cannot serve two masters as the Bible says. @Jesus is My Greatest Friend Thank you! That's exactly it! Sin isn't ok, and if we keep sinning in spite of "being saved" there will be consequences. So if the Holy Spirit is truly in us we will wrestle with our sin, try and figure our what our sins are, where we fall short. If we're convicted we'll truly repent. The Lord can miraculously remove our sin but I think sometimes some of it is left for us to wrestle with, because He uses the fight as a tool to sanctify us. But we are supposed to engage. We have to wage war with our flesh. But the conviction to do so is itself a gift of grace, and not everyone does it, because not everyone professing to be saved is truly saved, and not everyone is on the same place on their path of sanctification, and a lot of reasons. But we're supposed to help each other with the fight, and point out dangers and blind spots to each other. All part of our incredible Sovereign God's plan for us.

Supporters of this doctrine usually quote passages such as:
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand” - John 10:28
Proponents of this doctrine are absolutely correct when they state that salvation is a free gift, but they miss the fact that a gift, even if it is initially accepted, can ultimately be scorned, sullied and rejected. Although no one can snatch you from Christ’s hand, you can wriggle yourself free if you so choose.
In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the Son chose to renounce his sonship, leave his home and go his own way. As a consequence of this he became “lost” and “dead” (Luke 15:32). The same spiritual death is open to us if we choose to reject our Father and walk away from our family home.

We are not saved by what we do
If you are a true believer sealed and regenerated by the Holy Spirit you can't lose salvation God will continue the work he started in you !
Where does the line draw when we lose salvation
If you text and drive your sinning
If you run a red light your sinning
If you go to the store and pick up a item and don't put it back in the right place your Sinning
If it's 4:58pm and someone asked what time is it ,if you say 5:00pm your sinning
We can't repent of ever single sin that happens if that was the case we would repent ever second of the day

If you over eat your sinning
If u spend money you don't have and go into a lot of debt wasting money your sinning

Sin is a condition of the heart; not of actions. A sinful heart leads to sinful action. It is willing rebellion against God. Saying it's 5:00 when it is 4:58 is not a sin. That is straining at nats and swallowing camels. And it matters not what people think or believe, it matters what the Word of God says. The truth is not determined by what we believe. There is plenty of scripture pointing to the fact that a person can give away their relationship with God and be damned.

      a. "I believe someone thinking they can lose salvation is very prideful and self-righteous, we are saved because of what God did
We are not saved by what we do
This is interesting since EVERY orthodox teacher, apologist, author, and theologian for the first 1600 years (back to the First Century) taught that Christians could fall away from the faith. Even Augustine and Luther did not believe in OSAS as it is currently taught. Are all of these people throughout history "prideful and self-righteous" Because they did not teach OSAS. Conversely is EVERYONE who teaches OSAS humble and self-effacing? Surely you are not going to make that generalization.
      b. "If you are a true believer sealed and regenerated by the Holy Spirit you can't lose salvation God will continue the work he started in you"
Although you did not cite any scripture this seems to come from Philippians 1:6:
"being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
If you read this scripture in the context you will see that Paul was not saying that the work God begins in EVERY believer INEVITABLY continue and reach completion. What he said was he was CONFIDENT (or PERSUADED) that it would in the case of the Philippians. Paul went on to give REASONS this belief and none of it had anything to do with a belief in OSAS. In part, his confidence was based upon the Philippian's active long-term partnership with him in the ministry of the gospel
"...always making the supplication with joy in my every supplication for all of you, for your PARTNERSHIP in the GOSPEL from the first day UNTIL NOW,
He had other reasons as well:
"Accordingly, it is right for me to feel this about all of you since I have you in the heart. Both in my chains and in the DEFENCE and CONFIRMATION of the gospel, you all are fellow PARTAKERS OF GRACE with me.
      (Philippians 1:4-7)
      c. It looks to me like the Philippians were very well grounded in truth and grace.
This is the reason for Paul's confidence that they would continue on in the Faith. He says nothing about a belief that they would continue because of OSAS? If THAT had been the real reason for his confidence then would he have not said so in the passage? Also if OSAS had been the basis for his belief that "the work that had begun in them would continue until the Day of Christ Jesus" then he would have had the same confidence for ALL the believers under his care but he was NOT at all CONFIDENT about whether the Galatians would continue in the faith:
"But now, having known God, but rather having been known by God, how do you TURN AGAIN to the weak and destitute principles, to which you desire to be ENSLAVED again anew? 10 You observe days and months and seasons and years. 11 I fear for you, lest perhaps I have toiled for you IN VAIN.
      (Galatians 4:9-11)
If Pauls "labors" had saved the Galatians from damnation and brought them into onto a path that would lead them UNCONDITIONALLY into eternal joy I hardly see how could say his work was "in VAIN." On the other hand, if they were turning backward I could easily see how he would be concerned. Being "enslaved AGAIN" is the inverse from being freed from slavery through salvation.
      d. "We are not saved by what we do"
If by "works" you mean meritorious works of the LAW (like circumcision, eating kosher, keeping feast days) then I agree because these are not required under the New Covenant. It is to this KIND of ACTION that Paul is referring when he contrasts "works" and faith in the work of salvation. However, when James, speaks of WORKS he does not mean this kind of action. Instead, he means "acts of obedience" The word of faith cannot save us unless it is accompanied by an obedient response of the will.

I do find it amazing that people use Jude to defend the "always saved" doctrine.
V 5 says "He saved the people out of Egypt and afterward destroyed them that believed not (continued not, I Cor 10:1-10)". We know He only saved Joshua and Caleb (but saved ALL the others). Thru rebellion they backslid and were all destroyed. I Cor 10:21 "you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of devil's", same chapter, same topic, diff example.
V 6 The angels IN heaven (without a sin nature) rejected God, followed Lucifer, now Satan, and He condemned them to hell.
V 7 Sodom GIVING THEMSELVES OVER ... you know that story.
Jude clearly is making the case we can backslide and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness (v 4, depravity, sexual sin extremes). They are TWICE DEAD, whose fruit withers, without fruit, plucked up by the root (v 12). Jesus CAN keep us, and will but not against our will.
This is why "snatch" is the key there. We cannot snatch ourselves. He didn't say we cannot NOT MOVE ourselves because we can do what we want. Snatch is from outside. This is why He keeps our steps, guides our way, preserves the Word forever. Stay in it and you are preserved. Sin, if repented of, is forgotten and removed.
Jesus told Peter (an apostle, saved) in John 13:8 "if I wash thee not, thou has no part with me". That is extreme and complete. I don't think Jesus was exaggerating to make His point.
And in Rev 21:7-8 "he that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, unbelieving, .... and all liars will have their part in the lake of fire". I don't think he's just saying "sinners" there. 8 follows 7 and we must overcome. Every church (Rev ch 2-3) was told that. Some were told He would take their candle out if they did not return to their first love, Him. They started right and turned away.
    Peace brother.

David Wilkins, sure no problem, I can say OSAS is true because I’ve backslide many times in my past and I’ve always come back to God because He would rebuke me or draw me to Himself.. His great love for us doesn’t depend on anything we can do or can’t do, the whole point of Jesus coming to earth was to save us from ourselves, and keep us.. if we could keep His commandments and salvation on our own then the whole point of Jesus & the Holy Spirit coming down to all people being sealed in our spirit was pointless, if we can go to Heaven because of how good we were, then you can boast before God “look how good I’ve been”, anyway here’s a few of many scriptures... to back up what I’ve stated
      Jonah 1:1-3
Jonah Tries to Run Away from the Lord
The Lord spoke his word to Jonah, son of Amittai. He said, “Leave at once for the important city, Nineveh. Announce to the people that I can no longer overlook the wicked things they have done.”
Jonah immediately tried to run away from the Lord by going to Tarshish. He went to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid for the trip and went on board. He wanted to go to Tarshish to get away from the Lord.
(And we all know how this ends)
      Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
      Hebrews 12:4-11
      New International Version
      God Disciplines His Children
4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.(A) 5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart(B) when he rebukes you,
      6
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,(C)
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children.(E) For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined-and everyone undergoes discipline(F)-then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits(G) and live!(H) 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.(I) 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace(J) for those who have been trained by it.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
      New International Version
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
      Romans 9:16
      English Standard Version
So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
      Romans 8:30
      New International Version
And those he predestined,he also called;those he called, he also justified;those he justified, he also glorified.
      Ephesians 1:4
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

@@EndTimeNazerne I think the important thing in us is, do we have the witness from God that we are saved? Believing the scriptures is not enough. God has to witness it in our hearts. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. It is a gift of God; not of works, so that no one can boast
      1. Grace is God showing mercy on sinners
      2. Faith is putting your trust in what Christ did for us which is dying for our sins and his resurrection
      3. Gift: is eternal life. The reason it’s a gift because we actually deserve eternal death and separation but God has given us the gift of eternal life through Christ sacrifice
      4. Not of works ties in with the gift. We didn’t work for the gift of life. Christ gave it to us when we believe
      5. Boast- ties in with both the gift and not of works because we can’t boast on ourselves because we didn’t earn eternal life. Christ gave it to us when believed in His sacrifice

We are called the children of God when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thereafter we became the children of God, but our place in God as children is only by adoption because of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (see Galatians 4:5 & Ephesians 1:5). The Bible said that by nature, we (as Gentiles) are called children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3). We are only saved from God’s wrath when we believe in Jesus Christ, as we are now justified by faith because of his grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Eternal life does not begin in the present time. It begins at the resurrection (Titus 1:2). It is a false notion to suppose that eternal life ceases to continue, or that a person can loss it because, since it is eternal, that means it can never end. But it can only be eternal when it begins at the time it is given (at the resurrection), not before it is materialized. No believer in the present time has ever had eternal life yet. The Spirit only gave us *”the hope to eternal life”* (Titus 1:2). What believers have in the present time, when they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is not eternal life, but *THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST.* (Romans 8:2)- and that implies a moral obligation of living a sanctified life before God to obtain the promised life. Proof that we do not have eternal life in the present time is: We can still die and get sick at any time. Adam lost his eternal life when he sinned against God. He died physically and spiritually. The second man borne after the Image of the Lord Jesus Christ will be changed from corruption to incorruption. As it is written-“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory”(1 Corinthians 15:53-54). And when shall this change happen? It will happen at the time of the resurrection, *WHEN* “the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed“(v.52).
There are two interpretations and conflicting views of eternal life possession- *THE PRESENT POSSESSION* and *THE FUTURE POSSESSION.* So, why does the Bible compliment eternal life as a present possession? Do you know?

What about the 10 virgins parable ? They’re a representation of a Christian and they ALL fell asleep waiting for the husband (Jesus) but when they heard He was arriving (most likely the rapture) only 5 of them were wise enough to have oil in their lamps (speaking about an intimate relationship with God. Basically, your gas tank is full lol) and it lights up the way for them to go to the bedchambers. The foolish virgins asked if they could have some of the oil from the wise virgins but the wise ones were wise once more and told them that they needed to go buy some oil for themselves at the market (“pay a price” for that relationship. And I don’t mean we are saved by works. Don’t misunderstand me. But the “price” I speak about is a life of sacrament and intimacy with God in prayer and the reading of His Word). So the foolish virgins left and went to buy oil. But upon their return, the bedchambers were closed and no one else could enter (like the Noah story when the door to the boat was shut.) They knocked and the king (bridegroom) told them to go away because He knew them not ! And He also alluded to them being unclean because of the hour that they were knocking on His door. These were a representation of CHRISTIANS.
I strongly believe that if you’re living a righteous life before God then you’re fine. But if you’re a Christian and you continue to sin then I’m sorry, buddy but you can’t be near God cuz He is HOLY. There’s another passage that says that we must have white clothes that is neither stained nor wrinkled (meaning our souls must be clean before Him) and there’s another verse that says that we must be holy because God is holy.

You see I agree with the scriptures you quote but you don't quote scripture where God clearly says if you do this & this or that you will not inherit Kingdom......etc why? He is not talking to the lost either but Paul speaks to believers, a church..... I am sad so many christians are justifying sin through this weird doctrine and not even trying to work out their salvation with fear and trembling but believe they are OK come as you are...yes you come as you are but as you say in your video how to know you are saved for sure......they don't show these signs still this teaching of OSAS would lead them to believe they are OK......whilst they might not be.
I feel we need to get rid of those weird doctrines that help justify sin and encourage holiness as God says BE HOLY AS I AM HOLY, justifying sin not helping be holy at all, in fact christians have more than ever declare we will never be holy....we will never be perfect.... we can't keep commandments etc which is crazy...Jesus didn't give us commandments saying if you love me keep my commandments knowing nobody will or are able to keep them, that is not possible Jesus never spoke like that just to say something.... He said what He meant and He meant what He said...! We don't get saved by works but faith without works is dead. Doctrines like once saved always saved ideally should be broken down by some good scholar to show that this sort of attitude isn't godly encourages and justifies sin and isn't pleasing to God instead we should focus on Holiness and how to please God not justify sin that on it's own will give us reassurance that we are saved and our fruit will show that. Teaching OSAS isn't biblical not OT not NT. God many times in OT got rid of Israel and showed them if they don't change they will perish and He always tried to help them but He never reassured if you continue in sin you will be fine, Jesus also said the same, so I don't know if OSAS id a doctrine to teach.

That is Tim.4:1 that in latter times some will depart from the faith. Those who depart from the faith are not truly rooted in the faith, like for example its hard for them to accept the fact that God alone can preserve his saints until the end. The parable of the sower explains it. They don't really belong to the flock with a mind maybe similar to that of Judas Iscariot. Those who return to the faith can be explained by the story about the prodigal son.
A deed cannot become a sin unless God will impute it as sin (Rom 4:8, Jn 5:22,27). Rahab the HARLOT justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out the other way. Only the enemy keeps on accusing our brethren of their sins (Rev. 12:10), and our Lord Jesus is always there for them as advocate (1Jn 2:1). That is a mind blowing love of our Lord to those who remain and return in the faith. Christians should have their hearts rest in Christ as He is the Lord of the Sabbath.

Yes, that goes along with the scripture that states in Matthew 7:21-23 '21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
So here, Jesus is speaking about those Professing Believers, but not Possessing Believers. Only those who Possess Salvation will truly do good works in Jesus name. Many will do works in their own will, not the Fathers will. They are false disciples and in the end times they will be seduced by doctrines of devils so that they wont even claim to be doing anything in Jesus name. No matter, they were not true believers in the 1st place.
      Brother Allen is spot on.

scot pederson yes, I agree. Jesus said he NEVER knew them, he never said they lost their salvation. 1 John 2:19 (KJV)
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 1 John 3:6 (KJV)
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. WORKERS OF INIQUITY don’t know Jesus, and he doesn’t know them. Jesus doesn’t lose souls. If a person feels they have their salvation, then they have an improper understanding of the New Covenant. In the Old Covenant the Holy Spirit would leave a person, but in the New Covenant never leaves a person, we sealed to the day of redemption. But those that are truly saved turn from iniquity and sin: 2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV)
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

What's His Name, so you don’t believe that all your past, present and future sins were payed for on the cross, the reason we ask God for forgiveness of sin is to restore fellowship with God and each time we sin, it doesn’t separate us from God, our guilt and shame makes us flee from God. If one is sinning all the time, he or she might not be a true Christian or this person doesn’t love God as much as this person should, which in turn causes the person to backslide.
Sometimes even true Christians act like the prodigal son in a state of an unrepentant heart.

A few months after I got baptized a few years ago I fell into sin. I was young, new it wasn’t a good thing but didn’t necessarily think of it as a sin but one day I realized it and for over a year I struggled with it and fell into it. I was so angered as myself and I felt so ashamed. Now, with the help of God I’ve gotten out of it. I feel like I’ve gotten closer to Jesus. The reason I came to this video is because of those years of sin I repeated over and over.

Thank you for your messages, Allen! I learn a lot from your videos and appreciate how God is using you to reach people.
On this topic, I’d love to get your thoughts on reconciling the following questions with what you’ve reviewed in this video.
    1) If Lucifer was perfect, knowing no sin, already in heaven before God Himself, and could choose, along with many angels, to turn away from God, could we make the same choice as imperfect human beings even after being saved?
    2) In John 15, Jesus talks about The Vine and the Branches. He says many times, “Abide in Me.” The definition for “abide” means to “remain in.” With the word, “remain,” does that open a gate that we could leave? Additionally, the branches were already attached to the vine and then ended up not producing fruit; therefore, they were picked off and thrown into the fire. Does this indicate they were attached (I.e. saved), did not produce fruit and then were cut off?
    3) In Revelation 3, Jesus speaks to the church of Laodicea. He calls them “the church,” indicating they’re a part of the body of Christ, which means saved. However, He goes on to tell them that if they do not repent of being lukewarm, He will spew them out of His mouth. Does this indicate a saved church that could become lost if they do not repent?
Thank you for taking the time to read these questions and hopefully answer, as these are quite confusing!

"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2

For if, after they have ESCAPED the defilements of the world by the KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
      (2 Peter 2:20)
      a. The text does not say the SEEMED to have escaped. If a person escapes a defilement it means that the inner causes of that defilement has been dealt with.
      b. Earlier in the same letter the Apostle explains exactly HOW people "escape the corruption of the world" and it is not through the law:
3 His DIVINE POWER has given us everything we need for life and godliness THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent PROMISES, so that THROUGH THEM you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have ESCAPED THE CORRUPTION in the world caused by evil desires.
      (2 Peter 1:3-4)
      c. Which scripture PROMISES escape from corruption? Well, Jeremiah 31:31, speaking of the New Covenant, says:
"But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My LAW in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.
      (Jeremiah 31:33)
      d. The DIVINE POWER that enables us to realize this promise is For if, after they have ESCAPED the defilements of the world by the KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
      (2 Peter 2:20)

The DIVINE POWER the Holy Spirit enables us to realize this promise is the Holy Spirit
      b. These passages say nothing about our trying to keep the law in our own strength. Escape from pollution and corruption happens when the Holy Spirit by His divine power writes the "knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" on our hearts.
The people Peter is talking about could not have escaped the world without the Holy Spirit.

This is the third video of yours I have watched and the first one I disagree with...respectfully. Now, I'd like to believe once saved always saved. It sounds very comforting, but there are scriptures that contradict this:
Philippians 2:12 tells us to "...continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling."
This is not a scripture in favor of works. I do not believe we are saved by works by any means. The emphasis is on the "fear and trembling." If you're OSAS, then what do you have to fear losing? What fate do you have to tremble to think of?
Also consider the many parables and scriptures in which God tells us to be ready for His coming, to not be caught unprepared. Think of the virgins and lamps in Matthew 25.
But the scripture that illustrates this the most is in Matthew 24:42-51 (I'll slim down a bit but I encourage anyone reading this to read the whole passage):
"(24) Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come...(46) It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns...(50) The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. (51) He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place w/ the hypocrites where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
So the servant was caught slipping and was assigned in a place that sounds a lot like hell. If we are OSAS, why do we need to stay vigilant? Why do we need to regard the working on our salvation w/ fear and trembling? Christianity is not a religion of complacency, and therefore neither shall we be.
----------------------------------------------If you're curious, here's some qualms I have w/ some of your arguments:--------------------------------------------
John 10:28-29 "...No one will snatch them out of my hand..."
So you said "No one" includes us, and to think otherwise is to add to the scripture. But if we're going to stick to semantics, then go all the way. Replace "no one" with "the believer in question": "The believer in question will not snatch them(selves) out of my hand..." How can one snatch their own self? You can only snatch an object. This scripture is referring only to a third party. We may be assured that a third party (the devil, a bad influence, etc) can't snatch us away, but a believer may surely walk away from God.
As for your omniscience of God argument--I do believe in God's omniscience--but the question 'Why would God save somebody if He knows they're going to turn away from Him?' doesn't account for Judas. Are you saying Jesus chose a non believer from the get to be a disciple? Would that mean Judas didn't have a choice but to betray Jesus?

    • @jacobgarcia4826
      @jacobgarcia4826 5 років тому +2

Hello, I have two questions that I'll ask respectfully.
      1) If you walk away from God completely after He saved you, does that mean that we have the power to undo what God has done, thus showing that God can be thwarted by His own creation? Job 42:2 says, "I know that You can do all things, and NO purpose of Yours can be thwarted".
      2) If someone professes faith in Christ and they're going to church and youth and doing all of these Christian things (so to speak) and they look saved, but they walk away from God, isn't that an indication that they were never saved to begin with?
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23, "Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'". Notice Jesus said that He NEVER knew them. In other words, they were never saved, there was no intimate relationship AT ALL. He never knew them, and they never knew Him.
1 John 2:19 says, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us". For the context of 1 John 2, John is speaking of those who appear to be Christians but then they reject Christ. So if someone professes faith in Christ, but then they walk away from Him, or reject Him which is essentially what they're doing, John is saying that they were NEVER saved to begin with.
Last note: If someone professes faith in Christ, they claim to have met Jesus and they appear to be a Christian, but there is no change in that person's life (not speaking of an instant change, but a change overtime) and there is no desire for God, no love for Him, no pursuit of holiness, then that person was never saved in the first place, I would argue. It is 100% IMPOSSIBLE to meet Jesus and not be changed.
I'm looking forward to your response. God bless!

I really believed Matthew chapter 7:21-23 plays a good role in this doctrine.
"Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
    Important things to take note:
    1. They prophesied in the name of Christ.
    2. They cast out demons in the name of Christ.
    3. They do miracles in the name of Christ.
And we wonder why Jesus said to these people to depart from Him for He never knew them.
These verses refer to the believers of Christ. Not to the unbelievers.
I guess this is just a matter of being a genuine conversion or false conversion. Those people who believe they accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior yet still doing the wicked ways. In other words, there wasn't a genuine spiritual birth that took place.
Once saved always saved doctrine are only exclusive to those who are genuinely converted to Christ, not to those people who thought they are genuinely converted yet still living in a sinful way of life. They are the people who will hear the words "depart from me I never knew you" someday.

True. He does discipline them. But he always allows man to have free will. So if man decides by his free will to reject the sacrifice for sin (Jesus) after accepting Him, then a man can be "unsaved". You don´t lose the Holy Spirit once it is in you know matter what you do. John 10:28. People like to quote Hebrews 6 to counter OSAS but there are many videos/ evidence about how it is taken out of context from what precedes it. If you reject OSAS, you are undermining everything Jesus suffered on the cross for us, and then start relying on your own obedience to get you to heaven. Your obedience is not what saves you. Eph 2:8-9. In addition, If you think you can "unsave" yourself, you are doubting God´s sovereignty, by thinking we as mere humans can fool God into giving us salvation by faking our own repentance and returning to a life of sin. A lot of OSAS deniers, bring this point up a lot. We cannot fool GOD! Hope that answers your question. God bless.

VICTOR BARAHONA Trust me. I was just like that until I took the time to pray and read the verses carefully in its context.
      1. You have to read verses in its context
      2. It’s important to understand the difference between Jesus ministry to the Jews while he was on Earth verses Paul’s ministry to Jew and Gentiles after Christ’s ascension. Paul mainly preached to Gentiles.
You know why because the rest of Israel rejected Christ salvation message.
One example of a misinterpreted verse:
Hebrews 10:26. For if we deliberately keep on sinning after we received the knowledge of truth. There no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.
      First things first:
      1. Hebrews are Jews according to the OT.
      2. Paul said “we" in deliberately sinning. Including himself. So based on that we know all sins committed are deliberate
      3. The knowledge of truth is Christ. So obvious😂
      4. "There remains no sacrifices for sins." Now this is a hard verse to interpret just reading it alone
That’s why you have to go back a chapter or two to see what the sacrifices are talking about.
It talks about animal sacrifices throughout chapter 8 and 9.
So that verse is applying to animal sacrifices that don’t cover sins since Christ died for our sins.
I encourage you to read the book of Hebrews to find out that truth.

God is not holding a pen and an eraser writing and deleting people’s names on daily basis from the book of life. There are 2 kinds of believers, false believers and true believers. False believers are those who hear the word and not do it, I.e. it’s those who build their house in a sand Math 7:26, when trial comes, they easily fall! True believers are those who hear the word and do it, i.e. their house is built upon a rock (Jesus Christ), when trial comes they NEVER fall! Math 7:25. The whole predestination thing is kind of unavoidable since God knows all things. Also, none of us deserve to be saved, even though God wishes for all of us to come to repentance. God saving souls like like God is a man giving $5 to everyone he meets. Not everyone is gonna want the $5, and some are going to want it but will not get it, and some will want it and will get it, and get to keep it. The man (God) giving $5 (salvation) is out of generosity, not out of obligation, and when he's done giving it away, he's done.
Those who refuse the $5 are those who refuse salvation, those who wanted it but didn't get it are those who are what many say "false converts", and those who get the $5 are those who are actually saved. And the man isn't just gonna take the $5 away from you. It's yours to keep once you got it. Now this analogy isn't perfect as one could spend or lose the $5. But that is where one passage in Scripture comes into play. God's salvation is a gift to all who wish to receive it. And God's gifts cannot be revoked. It can't be taken away from you. It is unbiblical to assume or conclude that anything can separate you from God once you are sealed.

I don’t think its predestination I think it’s so much as having foreknowledge
I do believe God predestined heaven and hell but I don’t think He predestined people to reject or believe the truth.
Let’s use Peter for example. Jesus told Peter He will deny Him 3 times before the rooster crowed.
Peter denied Him as He stated but Jesus didn’t determine that to happen to Him but He foreknown it.
To predestine something means to carry something out the way you want it to happen
Foreknowledge means to predict something in the future before it occurs.
Free will is the ability to make choices on your own.
I believe foreknowledge and free will ties hand and hand with God and humans.

@@iicecourt00 Predestination isn't just some doctrine we made up, just to assure you. It's right in the Bible. It is true that God has predestined certain individuals to accept the Gospel and become followers. The only reason a lot of people object the idea of this truth is because they feel it's unfair.
Angels that didn't rebel against God are his Elect Angels. Therefore he's determined that the Angels who serve him are the ones he's chosen already. And those who come to Jesus Christ as our Savior, are his elect. If you put your faith in Jesus, you are his elect.
Unlike God, we don't know what he's predestined to who. So it's our job to make sure we are the ones who are predestined. Those who willingly reject God and hate God and couldn't care less to be with God are people who are predestined to die without God.
Even though God has predestined individuals, we still have a choice of our own to accept or reject Jesus. It's unbiblical to say God would reject people.
Besides, God looks at time differently than we do. We look at time in a linear way, God sees time as if everything already happened.
Time flows ever forward but he knows how everything ends and who will be saved. So it wouldn't make sense to already know who's gonna be saved or not and not have the ability to choose who those people will be. Cuz then that undermines God's sovereignty over all the things he has made. It would also contradict his Omniscience.

But I don’t believe that we can lose our salvation. The writer of Hebrews says that there is no sacrifice for sins if we willfully sin after having knowledge of the truth but that can be interpreted a number of ways. The main point for me is the writer of Hebrews, although we don’t know who it was, most theologians agree that it was the apostle Paul. And so the same person who most likely said after we gain knowledge of the truth in Romans says that we all know the truth but we suppress it. So everyone has gained knowledge of the truth so I interpret that as head knowledge so Hebrews 10:26 is not saying that you can be saved and lose your salvation. Our hearts are transformed through Christ and by His Spirit. And our minds are then renewed through studying his word.

The doctrine of *"once saved, always saved"* was *invented by John Calvin during the Reformation.* Under this theory, the Protestant believes that one is saved when he accepts Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. This is comforting - after all, who wouldn't want assurance? According to this view, true Christians are the ones who will persevere to the end. For those who accepted Christ during their lives but did not persevere to the end, the doctrine calls these people superficial Christians. Look at 1 Corinthians 5: 1 - 5. A man who slept with his father's wife, a sin so severe it was even condemned among pagan Gentiles, Paul says to give him over to satan for the destruction of his flesh (*so he can be saved spiritually at the Lord's coming*)

@@jesusmyonlyking2685 If you need another example of unrepentant Christians look at 2 Corinthians 12:19, 21. Someone who has addictions isn't going to instantly be cleared of that issue. In fact those sins and the gift of repentance is what enables the Holy Spirit to come and be sealed within you the moment you believe on Christ's finished work and his blood atonement, but that doesn't mean you can't back slide because of addictions or lack of self-control over various lusts. 1 Corinthians 6: 9, 11
Using Jesus' words in Matthew is functional, but can't be applied universally because 1. Jesus came only to the lost sheep of Israel, 2. He was preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom which is completely different to Paul's Gospel of Grace which we are under now, 3. What I said above. You can't always necessarily identify someone who's saved.
A reprobate mind doesn't enable you to decide what's good or bad. It's literally where God stops convicting you or trying to call you and turns you over to your sin in hopes you'll eventually return to him once you let that sin destroy your life.
The reason Paul left him up to the destruction of the flesh is because the individual - once saved - has backslid to such a degree that he was willing to do a deed that even the Godless cultures of Gentiles considered a no-no. At this point he's a danger to everyone else around him. It's the same reason God decides to strike people dead assuming they're too far gone and will just lead others astray.
Revelation 3:16 is judging a church collective - not an individual. A church has to be judged on its works clearly because that's its entire intention with soul winning and edifying believers - through works.
1 Corinthians 9: 27 is referring to him losing a crown per 1 Corinthians 9: 25. Salvation is a gift from God - not by works per Ephesians 2: 8, 9. To imply that Paul himself isn't even sure if he'll obtain eternal life - the greatest apostle - flies in the face of verses like Romans 10: 9 and 1 John 5: 13. The Bible is pretty clear that the Dispensation of Grace is a know-so salvation.

“For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.””

For the first 1500 years of Christian history no one taught eternal security as described by the doctrine of PotS. John Calvin was the first. Not even St. Augustine (who Calvin derived most of his teachings from) taught this doctrine. All of the ante-Nicene ECFs expressly taught against such a doctrine, labelling it as gnostic teaching.
There are way too many passages of scripture that imply one can lose their salvation by rejecting their faith for me to believe in such a thing: 1 Timothy 4:1, John 15:5-6, James 5:19-20, 1 Cor 15 1-2, 1 Timothy 4:16, Hebrews 3:12-19, 2 Peter 2:20-22, Mathew 24:10-13, James 1:12. Even the parable of the sower in Matthew, Mark, and Luke speaks of one who receives the Gospel with joy and "believe for a while", but in a time of testing fall away. It seems hard to read a few pages of NT scripture without finding a warning about falling away.

Bro Allen to say we ourselves cannot be snatched out of God's hands takes away our free will. We can choose to follow Christ or not. Notice the "IF's" by the Apostle Paul: IF we deny Him, He will also deny us 2 Tim 2:12. ...(and set apart for His purpose) IF you hold firmly to the Word 1Cor 15::2. ...IF you continue in His kindness - otherwise you too will be cut off. Rom 11:22...IF you continue in the faith Col 1:23 ...we will reap IF we do not give in. Gal 6:9. Also Matt 12:43-45 and 2 Pet 2:20-22 As for the predestination theory I agree God chooses certain people to do certain things but they still have power of choice. Some people boastfully say they are chosen by God --where does that leave the rest of us? Jesus said come unto me ALL who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest Matt 11:28 I believe God predestined what holy people would be like Rom 8:29-30 hope this doesn't sound like an argument and I agree with you we shouldn't argue for unbelievers are looking and listening and becoming more and more indifferent to Christianity. Thank you and God bless you.

Under the Gospel of the Kingdom, which Christ commanded His twelve disciples to preach to the Jewish people of Israel & Judah, it requires endurance to the end (Matthew 24:13), whereas under the Gospel of Christ, revealed by Christ directly to the Apostle Paul, (Ephesians 3:2) as the revelation of the mystery, which is also the hidden wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:7), salvation requires simple faith (Ephesians 2:8 & 9) and not works, thus provides assurance and eternal security( 2 Timothy 2:11-13)

    Debatable topic.
    I would use caution here.
I've met a couple people who were devoted Christian, then i saw them a couple years later and they wanted nothing to do with Jesus.
    I can't explain why

When you are genuinely and truly saved by grace through faith, then you are sealed by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13-14) A seal is an evidence or proof that God owns you and therefore, will never throw you being His child into hell and the lake of fire. Never! for doing so will make Him not a good God and loving Father at all.❤

I think there's a huge miscorrelation here. Salvation is not about being saved and sinning. But about believing to the end. We were saved because we respond by faith in God's offer of salvation. Unless, God forced us to believe in Him, then He can Forced us to remain in Him and will be saved 'till the end.

In one of my visitations to hell, Jesus showed me a person who was a Christian (Jesus said “he was a Christian like you”). But the guy unfortunately started sleeping around (1 cor 6:9). He died middle aged and went to hell forever it was dark but Jesus lit up the area, he asked Jesus for another chance but unfortunately it was too late for him, Pretty sad, Repent and ask Jesus to help you with your struggles (James 4:7)

Great video & points. Very sound. When Jesus said “it is finished,” He meant it...entirely. So yes, when we come to Faith...when we truly come to Christ, He will by no means let us go!
I think what trips people up is not really understanding your point #4 on perseverance.
Many people think that once “they’re saved” they can no longer sin. So they are unrepentant and unforgiving. The hard truth there is if that’s the case, they are also not Christian. It’s still true that the don’t “lose” salvation, for they cannot lose something they’ve never truly received.
The point of perseverance is KNOWING that we are children of God. Knowing by ensuring. And I go in greater detail about that in this video: The Best Way to Make Sure You’re a Child of God ua-cam.com/video/5jH5ZZ9TKWk/v-deo.html

Jah Bread. I guess you have been listening to the lies of Joseph Prince or the like (flatterers/offering sweet things/ idolatrous money hoarders-worshipers). When Jesus said it was finished, he meant that all the things prophesied of him in the OT had came to past. That is what NT scripture states. All was not finished as Jesus said he would send the comforter (Holy Spirit) with further instruction for the church. If all was finished there would have been no reason for Paul and the other apostles to instruct the church as to what Christian doctrine was. Some would like for it to have been all finished so they would not have to obey the instructions of the Holy Spirit through the apostles teachings to the church.
