    When I had my first baby 6 yrs ago, I felt so depressed and my husband pushed and pushed me to get a hobby and I was so resistant. I hadn’t done things for myself since before college/my mission. Anyway, I started watching painting videos of UA-cam. Just watching, not even painting. After a few months, my husband got me painting supplies and now-3 kids later I paint 4 nights a week and I love it so much. It truly gives me more personal purpose, joy and identity as an individual. It clears my mind so much from daily stresses.

    • @uniquemonke
      @uniquemonke 3 місяці тому +1

      I’m not saying you should take up painting necessarily but I think it’s such a gift to find a hobby to enjoy so you can enjoy time by yourself more and it helps you to feel accomplished in your personal development. That’s just how it has been for me. Hopefully that makes sense. Just look for things that peak your interest, maybe doing fun nail art, puzzles, creating photo books of your family, high fitness group, etc.

    Thanks, for sharing. Love your chemistry 😍 l met my husband 50 yrs. Ago next year. He was the boy across the street we were mostly friends for 12 yrs. Then married Raised 1/2 Dozen. Blessings and have been married 37 yrs. At times our biggest stresses have been our children, not our marriage...

    I really like how you and Jared love each other. I especially like how sensitive he is towards you. Now, as far as for HOBBIES... what do you think about just exploring making Candles. Think of the fun of creating something. For example: choosing the scents, the jars and the tranquility it gives you. And then you look at the end results and it gives a a sense of " WOW I made this ". Perhaps letting your kids join you occasionally. That was one of my first projects I did with my girls when they were little. Now They as grown women ,they do several projects with their kids, or, what about making HOMEMADE products? I make Soaps, it is the most satisfying feeling I have experienced, because people love my Soaps. I have turned it into a small business. This is just a suggestion. Love you channel. God bless you all ❤🙏

    My husband and I say our marriage got better after kids because we realized the little stuff didn’t matter as much. Like the knit picky stuff. We’ve been through absolute trauma with one of our kids and that has strengthened us, but also we have an almost 2 yr old who doesn’t sleep and that has been really hard. We’ve been together 14 years and are still best friends though which I’m so so thankful for.

    A few hobby ideas for Ellie: gardening or growing flowers, sewing (feels much more task-oriented to knitting or crocheting to me because of the variety of things you can make or mend). Reading - can be audiobooks, too! Walking or biking, if these don’t aggravate the migraines. Writing. Painting or other types of art. Archery. Rock climbing. A book club. Learn a new instrument. Some of these things could be done at the same time! You could listen to audiobooks while walking. :)

    Now I garden, do puzzles, bake sourdough bread, do embroidery, and play Minecraft with the kids. 😆
