- Have you ever seen a pop-up card wallet? The way it works was interesting, so I wanted to make it myself. I recycled Starbucks cards that I don't use. In other words, Making a card wallet with a card. I hope you guys enjoy this video. Thank you!

If you sand plastic, you may want to do wet sanding to minimise plastic powder going around, and use a mask

With a few more holes you can make this springloaded with a clicky pen spring.

Recommend you to wear some nice rubber gloves to avoid your fingers repeatedly getting painted with or glued. For instance, it might be some medical ones from drugstore.

You are one of the most clever designers on the internet. How do you come up with these ideas. Must be the way you are wired. The body (under the leather) how about using a 3D printer for all the outside pieces and the mechanism? Just a suggestion.
I actually thought of it but I don't have 3d printer at this moment. But at the beginning of this idea that I wanted to make it from the easiest, throwaway material. I'm done a video like this now, so I'll make it up to your idea soon!

What a lovely thing. I've seen this wallet around Facebook lately, some sellers keep spamming it in post comments. I was wondering how the inside of the wallet look like and now i know.
Very impressed. If i were to do this though.....the $300 I spend to get the right equipment and materials, plus all the screw ups I will have endured....?? Well, I'll just buy one made in a factory by someone else for way cheaper.....and less frustration. Thanks though.

Hi! If you're a beginner, don't buy too many tools from the beginning. You'd better try the cheaper one first and change it to the better one. I recommend some stores. KS Blade Punch, DreamFactory, PalosantoFactory Other than that, it's good to buy something cheap.

Beautiful and useful, as always! What do you think of using RFID cards instead of Starbucks cards? That would protect your credit/ID cards from credit and ID theft! But maybe the size and rounded corners would make it too small?
Simply use a layer of conductive stuff like Aluminium tape on one side of this thing...for example on the inside before spraypainting

How many cards was the card holder made with, can you also make a version with a paper money compartment?
Hi! Just an idea: glue aluminium foil to the outside of the plastic case, just under the leather. It shields RFID cards (contactless pay) from accidental use or scams.

RFID scammers are so rare. Do you know what it takes to pull off an RFID scan scam? Its a monumental task and is not worth the time or trouble for criminals to undertake. RFID blocking is a manufacturer's gimmick used to sell products. Fear motivates industry.

This is super cool! I will attempt this. Was the card holder strong since it was only plastic cards super glued? Or would it fall apart eventually?
What happens when you have less cards in it? Like only a few and not the maximum of cards? Does it still work?

Not to be mean or something but it hurts seeing those cards being ripped... I’m the type of person who collects these types of things.
nothing against your craftmanship they are good but
having the flip switch jutting out not flush with the dimension of the wallet and rigid body is ugly af and steer me away from these kind of wallet design.
I prefer 1 piece leather slim profile easy on the pocket design, thank god i found one which suits me perfectly after multiple shitty wallet branded and none branded.
I just trying many things and I love the slim design as well just like you! I will make it soon. Thanks for the idea!

Have you thought about printing your pattern on cardstock so you don't have to glue the paper onto cardstock afterwards?
i would buy it definitely. The only thing what i think not the most elegant is the stud but i dont have better idea to protect the cards falling off
