I follow all sorts of leather crafters online. But you are easily the most creative and you do some of the cleanest work I've seen. I wish I could stitch half as nicely as you do.
WOW! This so beautiful. And now you can incorporate 3D printed items in your already astounding body of work. I am so excited. Thank you for sharing Hans. This brings joy to so many people.
Wow! You got talent there. I will love to see more of my 2 favorites hobbies in one project. 3D printing is nice but 3D printing plus leather in one is just on another level. I tip my hat to you sir.
You know I always love your work you share on UA-cam, especially techniques, but this time there's something totally new to thank you for - the perfect rationale to finally buy a 3-D printer! Thanks again, bro!!
Very hard with thin weighted leather like this, for sure! There was a show on PBS about craftsmen that featured a pair of shoemakers in New York. The stitching to join the uppers to the soles requires this kind of stitch, but the sole's leather is much, much thicker, the "hole" or "tunnel" more like it is much longer, and she used a curved awl to make them. But both really have to be close to perfect every time or you'll have a pair of them too close and therefore weak. These videos are always inspiring!
Ohhhh the sexy corset stitching is back 😍 You should win a YT award for best content, editorial, directorial & soundtrack! Yes, I'm unashamedly fan-girling again 😉
I got a 3d printer before getting into leather, and it's been boxed up for a while now. This video really makes me want to bust it out and start using it again. I had thoughts about using it to create stamps, but didn't think about creating items I would cover in leather. Really cool.
A resin printer would have been so much better for leatherwork, but still cool, i use it like this too Might want to be careful on the orientation of the print, for example this piece is going to be very brittle vertically so almost unusable in real life situations, might want to explore ABS or PETG for more strenght
Thanks for the tips! Resin printers are also high-quality, but FDM is easy to use considering their efficiency. Yes, it's good for prototyping. I'll think of it as before making ABS product.
I can only imagine the neat and cool stuff you'll come up with using your new "toy" haha. Keep the creativity flowing Hahns, you're awesome. Thanks for sharing my friend. 👍👍❤❤❤

@@HahnsAtelier I really love your work and appreciate your dedication how you pay attention to each and every detail. I hope I can own something made by you😇
My congratulations for what you doing is very educational 👌🏻 I would like to know more about your tools sizes, brands name and type of leather if it’s possible 🙏🏻 I just started doing leather craft so I’ll appreciate it a lot any information abaut 🙏🏻 Thanks
Very nice! 2 ideas... 1st, can you have right angles inside the card cavity? The curve inside may limit how many cards you could put in there. I like the curve for the outside. 2nd, Is that plastic food safe? You could make a neat flask or canteen! Or emergency chocolate supply, lol.
3D printer is a nice tool, congratulations! I've got my ender 3 pro a year ago. Made a few cool gift boxes for my crafts. Also trided embossing with a stamp printed in PETG and it worked (kinda). Tool holders, organizers, etc. I personally not a fan of leather and plastic combination, but if you like it, why not? And I have to recommend fusion 360 or similar CAD software. Simple box that took me 1 hour of work in blender was remade in fusion in 10 minutes. Differrent size? Just edit dimension and whole model is rebuilt. Parametric modeling is handy and powerful. Anyway, good luck and have fun with a new toy!
Yes! It's really fun! I'm glad you have a wonderful machines, I'm just a beginner, so I just entered this field. Thanks for advice! I hope I can use that machine someday. Thank you!
😗🎶 The way you could even make the seams on the vertical side completely rounded and match the end caps you add on.....I wasn’t sure when I saw the base design from the 3D print, but finished it is so beautiful that I’m persuaded. What’s it like to be able to create beautiful [functional!!] things to such a level that many other people gush over it?
mm shouldn't be better if the inside wasn't so straight? you have to shake it to get the cards, I dunno how to put it in English exactly but if you cut finger/thumb holes (or push?) in the middle the cap will damage it so the best thing I can think of is a diagonal cut from the stitching to the other side, the angle of that cut is yours to decide
I use mine mainly for custom leather Stamps... You can simply grap a Black&White Picture, transform ist to svg and import in your 3d Software. Than just print it on a Surface and Tadaaaa, you got yourself a custom leather stamp 🤓😊
Hello sir..im a fan of your masterpiece..can i know whats the adhesive you use?im still buying my basic tools to start practicing and watching you make those gorgeous piece keeps me inspired and motivated, hope you could give me links where to buy my stuff for a start
I think it’s awesome finding two areas to push your creative energy. I also have been trying to find the type of polyester fabric you are using. Can you post a link to it? When I search, it seems all I get is the stretchy stuff, a;so, hard to tell about fabric online. Please direct me in the right direction. TIA.
I always wonder how is possible that thread zapper can hold a stitch for years, howbis that possible, can you trust it in terms of strenght?? I always do a simple knot twice in the back of the leather, than i melt with a lighter, i still can't trust that tiny melted thread dot. Should i try?
