    I can say that I've bought 4 or 5 patterns from Corter and I've never been disappointed.

      And do you know what stitching punch size he is using ? I don’t see any informations on the pattern. And many times he does’nt say the leather thickness...

    Love the updated design and I like the architectural analogy. Most of all, though, I love the return of the Blockbuster cards! I'll sleep better knowing they're back. Congrats on yet another fine video.

    Bought the pattern the other day and tried doing it at home 😊 I used thinner leather, so I had to do a couple of adjustments - added one more piece in the center to have an opening on the side as well as on the top, and made the thumb slider hole smaller to keep the cards sitting more snuggly in the outside slots 👌 ended up having to do 5 stitch lines instead of two(had to add one on the bottom as well, as I like to stick small things in and don’t want them to fall through), but works very well now and I can even keep cash in a separate slot on the side 👍

    I just picked up my first leathercrafting tool set and the first pack of leather arrived today! I really wanted to make the original version of this wallet, and this is perfect timing for me to try out this new one.

    Love your work, your videos made me feel like I too could get into leather crafting. Sorry took so long to hit the subscribe button, trying to get better at that. Bought one of your patterns for the first time yesterday and I can’t wait to try it out after the leather I ordered arrives. Thank you again for these great informative videos with fantastic commentary through out.

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Like many other crafters, I’ve learned so much from you. And thx for keeping your patterns so reasonably priced w/ so much freedom; re: what we do w/ them. I’ve purchased a myriad of your patterns , & appreciate the clarity. Thx to your former colleague Kayleena’s input as well.

    You have such excellent hand cutting control. I make so many mistakes cutting by hand. I guess I don't hold my tongue right or something. Ha! I love this pattern. Nice wallet. Recently, I purchased some patterns from you and Kayleena. They're excellent. Thank you for being so generous.

    HEY love the vids and ive crafted a knife sheath (EDIT on my own) & the lighter keychain from your channel. QUESTION....how do you measure cordage length for sewing? at times i run out inches away but my conservativness tempts me to cut the line short. all this stuff is expensive! love ya!

    • @emanfoo07
      @emanfoo07 2 роки тому

      @Clay Pylant Thank you, i will keep this in mind. Lately I have been using thicker natural leather for tool sheaths and what not. no need to ruin a full sew for just a little more thread

    I cut my teeth leatherworking making the card wallet of your on the weaver site about 15-20 times in a row. I modified it over time to have the hole across the bottom like this because I found it easier to slide the cards. I love this pattern and may just have to give it a go.

    My first leather working "kit" just arrived, i have a project in mind for my crafting scissors. I stumbled across your videos by chance as i was searching for tutorials on how to use these tools. Long story short, i see that the tools/materials are at the above link, however, i don't know what exactly to look for as the tools are not specifically referenced. HELP

    You can't really put coins in there if you don't glue the bottom though.

    So I have been working toward a first project. I did this, and wow... Not a good wow, like a ugh wow. I used some scraps I got in a bag at hobby lobby, my lines were not great, and stitching is a little off. I could put maybe 4 cards in it's, so not as functional as yours looked. Anyways, project one of of the way.

    I just got in some new leather from Weaver last night and I think I'm going to try this. Have you ever tried doing a short stitch line in the gap? I'm thinking that way even something small, like a coin wouldn't fall out the bottom, but if the thread is kept short and centered maybe it wont interfere so much. Just a thought. Hopefully I'll be able to soon try it out myself and find out.

    I just had a weird idea and don't know if it exists. How about a "cheapskate's" wallet? I wonder how the wear and texture would work if you used the textured side for the exterior? Would it make the wallet more difficult to get it out of your pocket (cheapskate), would that decrease, or increase the wear of the wallet? Just an idea.
    Thanks for all you both do. By the way, she should get some screen time. I have no idea what Kayleena looks like.
