RIP Larry, you were such a pioneer... So witty... Speaking the truth and not beating round the bush. Unique! I certainly still sing the 'JESUS IS THE ROCK AND HE ROCKED MY BLUES AWAY' chorus - because it's true! I can't tell you how glad I was when I became a new Christian (coming out of a rocky, mildly hippy, rebellious, wild lifestyle!) to find out there was some great music out there and not just hymns. Music is from God and we are to enjoy it (I like rock, classical, all kinds...). Yes!

amosepe Can you explain to me how music called death metal is about life, for that’s exactly what the message of Jesus was?
Don’t get me wrong: you’re free to worship and lift up the name of Jesus any way you like. But when you say you play death metal, I can’t help but wonder if that’s sending a mixed message.
So play any music you want to glorify the Lord. That’s not the issue. But please call it something that doesn’t give the devil a way to confuse your message. Just a heads up. Keep playing for Him!!!

this guy, was a person that plays the guitar for to carry the gospel of Jesuschrist to many people and his message change many lifes, but we don´t forget the good intructions of the biblie, in the bible there are words of eternal life and an advice of the Paul apostel for the church, is at I cor 11: 14;

You cannot point to a single form of music that is completely innocent. King David played a guitar type instrument, and the Jews beat on drums. Was their music based on voodoo too? Evidently seem like "M" thinks its evil. Believe me. There are still churches out there who call Hillsong, Casting Crowns, and even the Gather Trio evil.
If its not a hymn it is evil. Even a hymn if it is not sung note for note, it is evil, because you are trying to make it sound contemporary.
