    I’m a starter in this sport and find your videos very helpful - thanks
    Please can you add more pictures to help show what you’re describing. I’m sure the makers of the canopies etc. would be happy for you to display their stuff

      James Doyle that’s easy. Icarus, Icarus and Icarus.

      argh100100 the recovery arc on a Safire 2 is shorter then a pilot. My pilot 188 has a grand of sniv and the Safire has 600 feet. Every aspect of the Safire is more responsive than the pilot.

    • @stopspinskydiving
      @stopspinskydiving 5 років тому

      argh100100 600 on the nose for my Safire 2 179 and I’m loading it at 1.3:1

    • @stopspinskydiving
      @stopspinskydiving 5 років тому

      argh100100 sounds like you’re rolling the nose or too many rolls on the tail. Make sure you’ve got the correct
      Pilot chute as well.

    Quick question, but I know nothing about canopy design, the cells are open at both ends, at a guess to allow them to fill with air when deployed. It those cells were sealed, and filled with helium, could that be used in either powered or unpowered parasailing?
    I do understand that you wouldn't be able to pack it in that state, and some calculations would be required so you don't just float upwards.
    But would a canopy with some, maybe all cells sealed, as I have mentioned above actually function properly as a normal parasailing canopy?
    Sorry it may not be your particular area of interest, as one starts from the ground and one from aircraft, but I thought you might be the best person to ask as they both seem to use similar canopy designs, and I am so sorry if that is an insulting comment, as I said I know nothing about it.
    Just a thought that popped into my head, and if you don't ask, you'll never know 😊

    • @SkydiveVibes
      @SkydiveVibes  3 роки тому +2

      Haha, thanks for your question. Indeed, parasailing isn't my field of expertise, but the canopies are closed at the back so it is the gravity and your weight which keep it inflated. There has been decades of research in canopies so I am pretty sure that having a balloon type of wing has been considered but judge maybe in efficient. Keep in mind that just like a plane, you need forward speed to take off, so this also keeps your wing inflated. But others may have a lot more knowledge on that topic than me. ;)

    Very informative video but the music in the background was annoying, it would be better with no background music and more example pictures about the canopies and also what about lines? Types of lines. ✌🏻😎

    Merci, Catherine. Je vais probablement acheter un PIlot 7 226 Sqf d'Aerodyne en Ultra LPV. c'est un parachute de wingsuit mais aussi un bon parachute pour un pilote intermédiaire aparemment. Des pilotes qui en ont m'en on dit beaucoup de bien. Tu as des retours d’expérience ?
