They said that that version of snake mountain was a unfinished sample/ prototype playset. I would hope they do a better job on the paint, cause they did a great job on castle grayskull. Thanks for the update 😀

a) I think Snake Mountain will be available over at Mattel Creations just like the current Castle Grayskull, and probably all over the common online outlets, so do NOT despair.
b) I was able to order Duplico with the other wave 12 figures from MC, I've already received the other figures, but Duplico is still due by May 1st 23 according to the invoice, because he's part of the wave 13... He just got released earlier to the market by a mistake or a hiccup. So don't despair, he'll be available online to pre-order or at retail in the spring.
Without a doubt almost anything can be sourced online - getting anything through MC or other websites would not be considered local retail rates and involves shipping costs esp for international
@@RetroToyEscapades True, but retail hunting can be also costly (time and commute). That's I always shop online first if shipping is free or minimal!
I feel for the international MOTU fans though, but here in the US we also pay the big dollars for those Japanese imports and whatnot.
Hopefully Mattel will fix the international retail conundrum ASAP.
$76 shipping for a basic MOTU figure?!?! WTF?! If people are asking or getting more than double the retail price for a figure, they can and should offer free shipping. That ebay lister deserves a big middle finger for that shipping price!

Have they shipped? I ordered mine in the first seven minutes that day but it turns out Mattel Creations 😊didn’t record my order even though they charged my card.I contacted them and they said they had no record of my order. I’m disputing the charge of course

I gave in to getting these new waves off eBay, which I didn't want to do, but if you want something bad enough, you'll do what you need to to get it, lol. Let's just say I was one of the people who got duplico off eBay for that outrageous price 😆 🤷

Castle grayskull was $79.99 plus it came with a figure. Snake mountain is $79.99 without a figure. But forget about the castles for a sec. who, what was that d&d owl bear figure on the cover of that toy magazine. Never seen it before, is it a a 6inch figure? A build a figure? Or something else.

Thanks for the video Ken. I don't want to come across as a Snake Mountain hater, because I had the original, and so many years of fun with it, but it changed the focus of play with your MOTU figures. Original concept had both factions battling over Castle Grayskull
perpetually, due to the power and knowledge housed within, also it's a freaking fortress, most combat is easier from a fortified position. Snake Mountain at least for me, changed the motivation for both factions. Now instead of villains wanting to get out of
the cold for the night, tired of fighting out of caves, or living room bookshelves, now they have a location to store weapons securely, fridges for snacks, and beds to return to (yes I know none of that is included, but is implied). Castle Grayskull isn't the focus, but
more or less a keep away from villains type item. The heroes aren't struggling to KEEP it, just preventing villains from HAVING it.
You don't see, or have the heroes raiding Snake Mountain to get more Twinkies or whatever snack you prefer. Heroes aren't trying
to TAKE Snake Mountain; they just go there to retrieve stolen items or abducted non-villains.
Yeah I know, the concept and play of MOTU has constantly shifted with each addition to the line, but I firmly believe that singular idea diminishes the importance of Castle Grayskull. Looks better as a collection having bases for each faction, HELL YEAH.
I've got my Mega Snake Mountain, and that is enough for me. My Origin dudes can fight over Castle Grayskull to infinity and beyond :D

The picture of Snake Mountain from the Toy Fair in Germany recently showed a much better version of the playset. slimy green colored bridge, the snake neck without those silly filmation hard ridges, and the proper overal color scheme.
I do hope mattel creations releases something for Snake Mountain like they did with Grayskull with that "Mysteries of Grayskull" expansion pack thing. Maybe have something like a lava waterfall to hang between the two sections when the playset is open? Or maybe a second play section, like a place where the snake men can emerge from, to place where the Jail isn't? I dunno. I'll just be happy to get one! Skeletor rules!
Deep discount really is not a discount store. Very often they will list the original price much higher than it really sells for so they can make it look as if you are getting a discount when really you are paying the regular full price. It’s an illusion. Looks as if they did that trick once again with Snake Mountain.

I find duplico's price outrageous for allowing a $21 figure to be sold for so much money that ebay will allow that we all want this figure made by Mattel and not some ebay robbed scalper mattel is the culprit here would you give it access do it for everyone, then nobody would pay for it. Mattel plays with their customers, and that's why I buy all the surplus figures. wave 13 not all I just buy the old figures in Origins new and everything else that is now reinvented can keep metal with this quality and and with this peeling history. Make it possible for everyone.
Mattel nobody understands they leave out the speech function because it would be more expensive i would have rather paid 20$ more and had the speech in it so i pay 80$ and get it without and the snake looks awful and the light gray doesn't look good either Designer was here why can't you just leave it original Eternia costs so much money and there you can leave the original? Funny

I’m confused as to why you want to pay more for Snake Mountain. Are you ok with the price of the figures right now. The figures retailed for 12 dollars when they first were released . Now we are paying 21 dollars at retail . Not to mention the cost of the figures on BBTS and EE. We shouldn’t be ok with that ! And to say in a video that you want to pay more for something they are selling!!! What!!! Stop encouraging these toy barons to take advantage of us as collectors and toy buyers.

I wouldn't mind paying more for more. Include a redesigned mic which would of worked in the wolf head that is smaller now. An included figure. More expansions for the castles. More lore etc.
