  • This overview examines the ways that public sphere theories might be used to understand the movement of 19th century American women from the private sphere of domesticity and family into more public roles within society.

    However the public's of women. Including in US were different and varied so sometimes cooperated other crimes not. For example US had Black AfroAmerican women who wanted abolition of slavery while Pro womens rights ehilecWhite EuroAmerican section
    agreed til after US Civil War when that faction largely reduced vote demand only for white women White women workers were often more involved in trade unions and working womens eco
    comic rights etc. Similar situations probably occurred in other countries.
    The basic argument or theory seems sound but needs to consider the reality of diverse sector or factions of women's public's plural There were also reformers and radicals of all sorts in arts. personal behavior etc.
