    When I turned on my flashcal. My stock tire size was like 189 am I missing something? Or do I just have to scroll all the way down to my 35 inch tires

      Measure your tires with a tape measure. Use that measurement. I have 35" Nittos, and when measurement due to wear, I measured 33.5. It's perfect now

    I'd there any benefit to this if you Don't have bigger tired and o gears??

    Ok I got a question for you I have the this exact tuner and I programmed the Jeep for 35’s then I downsized to 33’s I was told to actually measure the tire and program the Jeep for that not the tire size that’s written on the tire itself. Have you heard of that?

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  Рік тому

      For more precision yes, that will give you a more precise measurement as it gives you an exact measurement, but to be honest with you as the tread where’s it’ll be off anyway

      @Anthony-nr1nd Рік тому

      @@ghostlyrich that makes sense, but after further more research my Jeep is an automatic so what that tuner does supposedly is to tune the transmission to control the shift points to make it seem not as slow on take offs. Now I know putting big tires on requires more work like gears and possibly a power adjustment like a turbo or supercharger but I just want to drive right and reliable until I get the proper funds available to do my dream build right.

    I have 37’s on my JT and it will not adjust the speedometer. I have adjusted the tire size in every direction and it says that’s it calibrated, but the speedometer always reads 3mph higher than actual speed at 60mph indicated on Jeep. Not sure what the issue is

    I just installed 285/70/17 on my Jeep and the gears aren’t changing to 8th would changing the tire size with this also fix the gear issue?

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  2 роки тому

      It should help the speedo as for the transmission not shifting did this happen as soon as you changed tires. This could be software related for sure I would check in with your jeep service team at you local dealership

      @@ghostlyrich I do feel my Jeep a little more sluggish but the speed matches but might need to be calibrated. The shifting issue just started to occur yesterday the day I swapped my tires. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  2 роки тому

      @@juanhidalgo4932 it definitely will be more sluggish unfortunately the best way to fix it is to get your transmission tuned to properly handle the difference in drive line weight. You can buy box tuners but you would have to get your ecu unlocked if you can find a tuner shop near you I would suggest getting it tuned

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  2 роки тому +1

      It just corrected the speedo. I still have to calculate for the wear of the tires so to properly do that I might have to drop it from 35 to 33

      For most accurate use a tape measure i didnt bother because at the time i was driving so much i was going through tires like crazy so i never had accurate tread amount
