100% Blue Gem Case Hardened M9 Bayonet. Upon watching Anomaly's video "Best M9 Bayonet Full Blue Gem" I decided that I would try to replicate my favorite CS:GO knife in an actual full blue gem pattern which I have numbered '602'.

Handle Material - Canvas Micarta
In order to give it a proper blue gem color, I tempered all of my pieces at 550 F (or 290 C) for an hour. It took me several tries to get the exact pattern that I wanted so the blade ended up being around softening quite a bit to around 45 - 50 HRC.

U can buy some csgo knife (I don't know the quality) on some market, like karambit, butterfly,...

@@Bandzior1337 for 30 $ it'z pretty cheap and not created by hand. A knife like this with 50+ hours of works it might be like $300+. And for 300 dollars it's pretty cheap too. 50hrs x minimup paid/hrs = 500+$ (minimum in my country is 10.57€/hrs) and with thé matérials use it worth for me 1000$ +
a bunch of CSGO knives are based off of IRL knives, the flip knife is based off of the benchmade bedlam for example.
There's the french website knify that does nearly all the CS go knifes with few skins possible. Stattrak and renaming them is even a possibility
50+ hrs to do this knive, you should have sold it instead of giving it to a fat horder in malta.

It’s a great looking knife, but did you not show the case hardending process? Or just didn’t label it? To me that looks more like a blue steel than a blue gem. Very dark blue. Not bad though. Usually when I see case hardens knives irl they do have very similar characterization to the ones in the game. Not too familiar with the process so I could be totally wrong.
Thank you. I actually couldn’t get a great shot of the hardening process so I decided to not include it in the video. Unfortunately my camera didn’t do justice to the heat treat so it looks slightly off colored in the video. The real knife looks a lot more like a blue gem. The reason why the entire blade is blue is because I tempered (not case hardened) the blade at the same temperature to give it an even color across its entirety. Case hardening works a bit differently and is not a very common process for knives since it only hardens the blade superficially hence its name. I hope that answers your questions! i am somewhat of a mechanical engineer in HS rn and im thinking about doing something like this in a couple of years for like my final project - do you think its possible with more limited tools than you have for a beginner-intermediate at working with metals to make a knife like this? love your work.
Yes, it is absolutely doable provided you spend a lot of time. Simple jigs might come in handy to get crisp lines (file/angle grinder jigs). Don't be discouraged if you mess it up and have to start all over again :)

Cool knife, but not an M9 bayonet. The saw edge and deep groove is wrong and more like a Buckmaster survival knife. Plus it can't attach to a bayonet lug. Just call it what it is. A knife.

this isnt a case hardened, just a blue m9 bayonet. case hardened isnt all blue, on the play side if its blue, its not 100%. it has different shaeds of colour... so stop bullshiting for views, you just made a blue knife

Case Hardened NO, Blue steel, if you use a torch, then yes it will give an Case Hardened effect

it is case hardened but not COLOR case hardened, this isnt a blue gem

Almost every thing is nice. I am very empressed. He put so much effort but at the end he made a crappy pomel construction. He already made the knife full tang, hammer the tang through the pommel and take out those tiny bolts

Very accurate observation. Unfortunately it's difficult to get that matte look out of steel without ruining the surface quality so this had to be it.

i think that is not a blue gem that is a saphire but stil VERY IMPRESIVE
