I wear 2XL vintage Firebird tracksuit without word Adidas under trefoil when it comes to track jacket. Pants fit me well in XL and in 2XL. I am 5ft 11in 310lbs. I wonder if XL jacket would fit me because it is more common than 2XL. and I would like to have some rarer colors..

Large is your size in slim fit. Medium is your size in regular fit and relax fit models.

Neither looks good. Too tight and the other is too baggy. Exchange it with firebird. Its also adidas original classic or beckenbaur.
