How do I study pop culture, including Asian pop culture? Especially anime, Bollywood, Kpop, etc.? Specifically, how much impact do they have on Asia and the rest of the world? Kpop is said to be popular in remote regions of the Indian panhandle, while anime has become a global phenomenon. The other reason is gauge how immigrants use movies, dramas, music of their country of origin etc. to reconnect to their home and roots. Also another reason is to predict which country could become a future soft powerhouse like South Korea, India and Japan before them.
