I know this is late but I try to send a message to someone but it says it's not delivering and that person has an iPhone. Also you know when it says I message on the type bar, mine says message and I massage works on someone else on my contacts. Can you please help me?
Hi Naing, If you're trying to send an iMessage to another iPhone user, make sure both you and the recipient have iMessage enabled in your iPhone's settings. If only one of you has iMessage enabled, you won't be able to send/receive iMessages. If you have iMessage enabled and your friend does not, your messages won't be delivered properly.
Hi, just a quick problem I gave my friend my email and he gave me his. He hasn’t added me yet but I have tried to send a message but it won’t let me send it. He has a iOS device so it should work.
Hi there, If you're having trouble sending/receiving iMessages, make sure you and your friend both have iMessage enabled. Check out this help page on the Apple website for more tips: support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204065
I have my iMessage turned off and im messaging my friend who’s using a samsung but the message wont go through is there a reason why (idk if its cause hes in a different country)
It's possible that it's because the person you're trying to send to is in another country. However as long as you have their number entered correctly and are connected to your cell carrier's network you should still be able to send your message.
If I have WiFi and iMessage can I IMessage some one who has android for free. Would they be able to receive my messages if I send them something through iMessage? Please help very confused.
iMessage is for Apple devices only. If you send a message using the Messages app on your iPhone to someone with an Android device, it will be sent as a regular SMS text message, not an iMessage.
The person you're trying to send the message to may not have iMessage set up on their end, or it could be an issue with your internet connection. Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi or have your cellular data turned on, and check that the person you're sending the message to has iMessage set up.
If you have iMessage enabled and you're messaging someone else who has iMessage enabled, it will automatically send as an iMessage. If the person you're messaging does not have an Apple device or does not have iMessage set up, it will be sent as SMS.
The person you're messaging also has to have iMessage enabled on their Apple device. If they don't have an Apple device or don't have iMessage enabled, your messages with them will be sent as SMS
@@techlifeunity Thanks. I figured that out. A lot of information does not specify that action but simply generalizes. Almost as if it’s common knowledge.
Hi Joseph, iMessages can only be sent from one Apple device to another, so if you're trying to message someone who has an Android or other type of cell phone, the icons and message bubbles will appear green.
Does your friend have iMessage enabled & set up? iMessage also requires an internet connection so if they do not have Wi-Fi/data access your messages will not send as iMessages. Hope that helps!
If I use imessage (to send picture/photo, video, texting) and facetime (audio and video) can I use those are with people who live in another country? Because I live in Indonesia and my boyfriend lives in the USA
You can send iMessages to people in other countries, just make sure it always sends as an iMessage and not a text message to avoid accidentally being charged for distance texting, etc.
Hi Manul, You can only send iMessages to other people will Apple devices who have iMessage enabled. Make sure that the person you're trying to contact is using an Apple device with iMessage enabled.

Hi Ed, You don't have to add fun extras to your messages if you don't want to. Simply type in what you'd like your message to say, and send it off! If you're wanting to send an SMS message instead of using iMessage, disable iMessage in your device's settings.
What if the person who I’m messaging has a iPhone but it’s still green
That means they don't have iMessage set up, or they can't currently receive iMessages (i.e. they do not have internet access)
