I think they were taking affront at his lyrics, not his singing skills. Basically, the summary of this song is: This place is a dangerous shithole full of monsters where backwater witches kill unborn babies. If someone insults me, I wouldn't take time to appreciate his cadence while doing so either.
@topple it depends on the woman in question. Does he smarm and lie his way into numerous women's beds, or even more often woo to get something then move on without even bedding them? Yes. Are most if not all of said women the "gullible AF" type? Also yes. There are many women Dandelion/Jaskier doesn't have overwhelming success with.
Cody Nelson From the very first second I heard him singing I knew that's Jaskier. Joey Batey is perfect in this role, by which I don't mean 100% source material correct. Love his interpretation of that character.
@@DreamLikeNoOther - Jaskier is the Polish name I read. It translates to Buttercup but the developers of the games though that wasn't the best name to go with and so went with Dandelion. Take this with a grain of salt though as I am not 100% on this. I am not sure why he couldn't have just remained Jaskier in the games. It's not like it stands out as a particularly strange or difficult name in the world of The Witcher. Personally, I was always a bit confused by Dandelion. I thought it was a strange name and wondered if it was just a stage name. Jaskier is a better, more "normal" sounding, name in my opinion.
@@jeremyrosal6049 That's interesting, I didn't know it was the polish word for buttercup. Honestly I wish they went with buttercup then. Regardless, I think the name Buttercup/Dandelion suits him perfectly so I think it's kind of a shame not to use it as a nickname at least once for non-polish viewers since it's so funny, but that does make a lot more sense that it means something in polish. edit: in the eng translation of the book his name is dandelion too, not just in the games, so I guess the eng translators of the book decided it
Only bad casts, which ruin it for me, are Yeneffer, and triss. Horrible, I dont even care if they include black casts, but why ruin triss and yen like that?
Best character intro in the show. I just realized why Dandelion is my favorite character in the Netflix show. Because he best fits my mental image of Dandelion from the books (which I read before playing the game). His game rendition was meh for me and his American accent there just annoys me.
Nicko Mocanu I agree his accent is weird in the games, but I got over it and still found him entertaining. But yeah I agree, this rendition is MUCH better.
Because the actor has a better perspective of this character. He doesnt see dandelion as a fuckboy, he sees the character as a puppy who easily falls in love with almost everyone.
@@elrilmoonweaver4723 no i'm not. I think he would fit very well, he's handsome, he can be very serious but goofy too and he has a damn good singing voice. I dunno i just think he would be better.

except he actually singed well
MightyElf yeah it’s just the lyrics sucked. He needed a real adventure for inspiration, so geralt was a GREAT opportunity for him.
