Nobody should not think to live in the Philippines without retirement check coming every month. I've seen so many young expats from all over the world coming to the Philippines trying to live on UA-cam income. That's wrong.
I don't understand how or why someone would say negative things about this wonderful man. I've met him in person and will see him again this weekend. I see terrible comments and hope that person gets a life. 😅
You are so right Sir. They have their own problems to solve. They wish they can help you but they cannot. They can but up to a certain point. Cannot wait to move in Philippines in 2027. Stay blessed
Let's be transparent here they're not interested in you. They're interested in your money. What many older men don't realize is is that there are one bad fall away from breaking their hips, becoming immobilized or having a stroke dementia etc. there are many gentlemen all throughout the Philippines that are prisoners in their own home locked up in a back room or the bottom floor and the girlfriend or wife will keep you locked up in there she will move in all of her family plus her new boyfriend and just feed off of you keeping you alive to use your benefits to live high on the hog this is just business as usual in the Philippines. In the 35 years that I traveled and moved around there I met and saw many older men captive like this many Filipinos are looking for a victim like this. I wish this gentleman all the best I don't care how old you are nobody wants to be alone. Sometimes you have to settle for companionship, even though it might not be 100% what you want isn't that normal.
No Money , No Honey . I do not want to live in the Philippines full time. Just visit , and see the country . Barking dogs and roosters early morning call no thanks.I need my peace and quiet.
Looking spiffy with that haircut, Barry! Good advice once again... Failure to plan is planning to fail, IMO... As a long-time expat and overseas dweller, an imperative from my experience... That includes a rainy day fund, insurance of some sort, a few clothes toothpadte, soap, etc., and plan B... Too many who are new to expat life are not prepared to deal with some of the, shall we say, situations you run into once outside of the comfort zone... Have a super week, you two! Tagaytay is looking good, too, BTW! 👍😎👍
There is Philhealth if you are married to a Filipina. There are private companies that do offer health plans, although I do use them. I can get some services at the VA Health Clinic in Manila, but its cheap enough for me to just pay to see a Specialist. You can find them at most Hospitals.
I just know that I live better here than i could in the USA My time left is years not decades. Day by day....i travel some.. Thailand, alona beach etc, rent Airbnb only.. so im not tied down...no car..no motor bike ... Simple Life.. Best regards all, Smitty old sarge Metro Cebu Philippines
I'm glad that you found your place here in the PI. I'm 82 and I sometimes fill like I have just months to live, other times I feel like I will live until I'm 100. We soldour house in Austin, Tx and it sold quickly. We weren't sure if we should buy a house or just rent. When we found this house for sell, I knew this was where we wanted to live. Now, I just do my vids, travel some around the Philippines. We have 5 dogs and they keep me in good shape and happy. We had to go back to the USA last year for my brothers funeral. We stayed 2 weeks and I couldn't wait to get back here. If you are ever in this area, please stop by for a visit.
Many, especially males so far come to other countries to retire with wrong dillusiinary motives. Whether in yoir own country or cheaper destinations, you still need enough money.
PH is not the ideal country for foreigners to settle foreigners in PH can't even own small portions of lands full business ownership & have very limited rights foreigners can be naturalized PH citizens if born & totally raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not the case of most of them PH is paradise on earth for rich Filipinos only
You evidently have a bad attitude. Let people enjoy their lives and stop trolling :) Evidently you have nothing better to do. I'm sure our lives are much more pleasant here than whatever your life is like. Barry is a wonderful person, so shut your mouth.
I enjoy making my videos, telling my story and about my life here in the Philippines. I am not monetized, yet. Thank you for watching, thats why I make these vids.
I am old. That doesn't mean that I am dead. I have lived in the Philippines for 5+ years and I stay active. I have a storey to tell and I will keep doing my videos. If you don't like them, then don't watch them. If you do like them then join our family and please keep watching.

Only problem is most days in the Philippines it RAINS! Your rainy fund will not last long!
$2000 per month is the absolute MINIMUM you should reliably have coming in per month! Spend $1,500! And SAVE $500! Then you will be ok!
Thanks for you advise, see you soon !!!
Wise words!
The west part of Philippines, facing West Philippine Sea, is breezy. Palauan island is perfect.
We do get the winds from the West Philippines Sea and also from the Batangas Straits.
wow Barry, getting ready for the weekend 😜get the couch ready 😜🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
I slept late this morning, didn't get up until 11am. We are readyfor y'all. Looking forward to your visit.
See you Friday afternoon my friend :)

Nice haircut Barry
Vietnamese say, "Love you long time, " based on that book. Filipinas don't say that. Don't get them twisted.
What area do you live in
We live out in the country near Alfonso, Cavite. Its west of Taygaytay.
Many, especially males so far come to other countries to retire with wrong dillusiinary motives. Whether in yoir own country or cheaper destinations, you still need enough money.
Where are you in the Philippines ?
We are near Alfonso, Cavite, west of Tagaytay.
Certainly you have SS ?
Yes, I do get social security and some other pensions, but I am not a wealthy man.
That cough does not sound good. Get checked Sir. It is concerning.

I disagree with your description. In my opinion, most are scammers, and some are not.
Maybe you have been hanging with the wrong ones. Ihaven't had any trying to scam me.
Sir get off UA-cam and enjoy the time you have left!
I enjoy making my videos, telling my story and about my life here in the Philippines. I am not monetized, yet. Thank you for watching, thats why I make these vids.
Worthless troll :) Hey a life like the rest of us have. I hope you are not always a miserable soul.
This guy looks kinda old.
