Shaking Family covers Cate Brother's song on "Rubaiyat", Elektra 40 year Anniversary Album Box Set

Signed to a multi-album deal with Elektra/Asylum Records in the late 1980's, the band, Shaking Family released their freshman album entitled, Dreaming in Detail. Within a year or so of the albums release, the band was invited to perform on Elektra Records 40 year anniversary album, Rubaiyat. The album celebrates the record labels musical history with featured songs of previous Elektra roster recording artists including, The Doors, The Eagles, Queen, Warren Zevon, The Cars, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Jackson Browne, Bread, The Cure and others. Perfomances on the Rubaiyat album include past and current roster artists of the time of it's release include, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, Metallica, Linda Ronstadt, The Cure, Tracy Chapman, The Georgia Satellites, Gypsie Kings, The Sugarcubes, Anita Baker, Phoebe Snow, Howard Jones and more! Shaking Family performs their version of the song, Union Man, a top 40 billboard hit released by duo, the Cate Brother's in 1976. The original Cate Brother's song peaked at number 24 in May of 1976.
