Folami Lami honey. I know the struggle too. I was over it with my natural hair & I struggle to gain length..been wearing box braids back to back for 3 years...was looking forward to wearing my hair out. Took my braids out, and it's like my hair did not grow much and my edges were sparse...was very discouraged.
I did crotchet with cuban twist kinky hair myself, moisturized my actual hair, left my edges out & I've gained my confidence back. It looks like my hair! Other girls take this for granted Because my hair has never ever been long enough, I wore it in a low ponytail today for the 1st time. We just have to fake it till we makes it.

This a great video and you look really nice. Do you have another video with a more detailed look at your crochet technique for how you actually install the crochet braid? This one flies over it too quick. I have rewound a few times, but can't still figure out if you left some hair off the hook on purpose, and also, if you split the loop. But this really is a wonderfully versatile style and easy to manage. I tried this before but I think I got the wrong hair. I tried a 20" and it shed so badly because the strands were NOT 20" but shorter strands kinked together cleverly to give the illusion of length - till you put it in and start to style - then it all comes off in your hand!! Was not pleased!! So today I am going on amazon to buy this afro kinky bulk because I can't get this hair in stores where I live. I will try it out. Thanks so much for your great and well detailed video. It is very helpful. Oh, one last thing - are you Yoruba? :)

How long did this style last? I remember using this hair years ago and lost the curl pattern rather early then had to rock failed rod sets on them
