XUV 3XO Fuel Efficiency Test | 131PS 3XO Petrol TC vs Sonet DCT FE Comparison Analysis

- May 2024: Team V3Cars shares the fuel efficiency report of the Mahindra 3XO 131PS TC in this video after a short drive around Nashik. We not only give you an analysis of the fuel efficiency that the 3XO offers, but also share how it compares against the Sonet DCT in terms of fuel efficiency.
The 3XO is available with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter. It’s also available with a 111PS version of the turbo-petrol engine.
We are testing this engine with the 6-speed TC, and this powertrain churns out 131PS of power and 230Nm of torque. It is claimed to deliver 18.2kmpl of fuel efficiency.

9:32 The calculation seems wrong, should have been somewhere between 15.72 kmpl and 14.83 kmpl that is approx 15.5 kmpl, You must have calculated by swapping the percentages of City and Highway by taking 23.4% as Highway and 76.6% as City which gives you 13.44 kmpl which by the table is just little more than 20% Highway and 80% city fuel efficiency that is 13.32 kmpl

Yes, it's an error in calculation in this video. We regret the inconvenience. Sonet's efficiency should be over 15kmpl. Thanks for pointing it out.

It's not a mistake it's called a paid review as these manufacturers pay these youtubers for biased reviews. I have old xuv300 and it's mileage is below nexons average to a great extent.
The best way to compare across two cars is to have both travel through same route together. The only variable there would be driving style but that can be managed via setting ground rules.
A very nice video. I have a few questions.
1. What is the weight of this car and how does it compare with other cars in the segment?
2. How much does one pay for having a) TGDI engine 2) Automatic Transmission (torque converter) 3. Model having panoramic sunroof and leather seats over the next lower variant.
Whts your opinion on ADAS 2 features of 3xo...is it good or going wrong? Have u tested??!

Personal View :- Sir, apart from looks and mileage, Mahindra 3XO is a great car. Excellent driving dynamics with lots of features. ADAS also available but on higher trims. Value for money is AX5L as this variant gets ADAS and 360 degree camera .

ADAS level 2 is the main highlight of the car and one of the biggest reason to buy this car.
So please make a detailed video on ADAS on 3XO and compare it with other cars having ADAS level 2.

MX3 has wrapping on the door trims, and not actually paint.
Today on visiting my nearby showroom, I pointed out the dealership that the black trims on the door were not paints but matt black wrappings. Visible overlaps and cornering punch were visible. Would like to have confirmation.

For city usage and minimal usage , I won't recommend the turbos , they are meant for the highways , so for city usage go for the brezza.

Should I buy Xuv 3xo the same variant your driving or the sonet gtx plus or the seltos htk plus varient. We are a family of 4 and very less driving mostly in the city and once a year or twice a year the occasional long trip to goa. Please suggest which car would be worth buying for us.

What you think would be the fuel efficiency of AX5 variant with lower power engine? Will you be driving, reviewing and covering mileage test for that as well?
Theoretically GDI engines should have higher efficiency. So it will be more or less will be same.
@@latvork3044GDI have higher efficiency only at high power, in city crawling it is 30-40% less efficient than NA . Eg. VW TSI 1.0L gives 18-20kmpl on highway at 110-80kmph in city it gives just 9-11kmpl.
@@deepsaurabh7579 There is no NA engines in the 3XO lineup. Only MPFI turbo and GDI turbo petrol.
@@latvork3044theoretically yes , and it gave better fuel efficiency before too , but bottomline is a turbo is a turbo and best usage is at highways , and when pushed it will give low mileage

Among all the youtubers who tested xuv 3xo, you are the only one who got more than 15 kmpl in mileage test. Not sure what's wrong with other test cars or you are driving it very sanely.

Please drive at 90-100 speed in highways to report realistic fuel efficiency. Asking for diesel variant.
You can not drive on highways at those average speeds. If you take into account your actual highway drives, you'd probably average somewhere around 50-60kmph for the entire drive unless driving on an elevated expressway.

In all the features 3xo outweighs Nexon but only grey area is Mileage .

While you are testing fuel efficiency of newly launched cars but the same test in respect of Creta IVT (launched in January, 2024) is still PENDING?
Since test of Creta DCT & Elevate already done, why not do it for Creta IVT so that one segment is covered completely?

Can someone tell me if parcel tray will be given in the car or not after launch? Literally every review I saw had no parcel tray. Mahindra already missed out on ventilated seats which was essential for this summer season but if they dont even give parcel tray, that would be an idiotic move.

No car is perfect. the steering feedback etc should not much a concern for a car with good driving dynamics and this car has the best of all currently in the market. I don't think this car will tire much in long journeys as it has good comfort for driver as well as passengers..most of the people may even don't need a panoramic sunroof. just a normal sunroof should be enough to enjoy skyview sometimes mostly during winters etc.

Great, so person who will purchase 3xo , will drive it at the speed of 60km/h on highway to extract mileage from segment best petrol engine. I do not understand, what is the point of this tyoe of fuel economy test, which is never possible in practical day to day use.
Comparison is 0 safety rating vs 5 star safety rating. Mahindra is the way to go!
