- Quick video of the MGP Hotbodies stinger exhaust. It can be hard to find mufflers and/or videos for this particular bike, so thought I'd make one.
FYI stock muffler is approx 9lbs, aftermarket didn't register on scale, and yes it is that light in my hands. However, website says 5lbs...debatable.
I'm also using the baffle, which decreased sound by roughly 30%. It is a loud exhaust, but sounds great with the deep tones and babbles on deceleration.

This is one of the things I really enjoy on this bike, the sound. Even with stock you can hear those popcorns... Overall a great bike to start with and have fun.
I got it as my first bike 3 weeks ago haha
@@TheTurcc 👍👊
Looking at a bunch of exhausts and this is the first one that makes the cb500 sound like a real bike! Id love to throw one of these on my sewing machine
@Mark Roman had a xj6 with stock exhaust now i got arrow but it sounded exacly like a vaccum cleaner at mid revs.
Is this exhaust approved? Can it be registered for road use? Is it legal? Does it comply with Euro5 standards? I really like the sound!
I looking forward to you reply!
Oh that's a good question, but I cannot answer the Euro 5 emissions question (I'm in Calgary). However, all aftermarket exhausts (slip on and full) are designated for "track use only". Depends on where you live and how much of an a$$ the police are.
Did the mid pipe come with the exhaust or did you purchase it? If so may I have the link. I ordered just the stinger slip on.
Also did you need to retune ?
Yes the mid-pipe was included. No need to tune with a slip on in most cases.
I like the 471cc engine but damn, nothing can make these engines sound good. Just the nature of a parallel twin.
Sound better irl
Videos probably don’t do them any justice, but yeah it’s still an I2
Sounds awesome to me.
There is two ways to make a cb 500 sound nice first is to leave the stock exhaust on and second is to just remove it.
I'm not sure what that means, but ty. Take care
@stavro Out here burning braincells I see...🤭🤭
The third way is to toss it to junkyard, and buy a kawi....
you have link to exhaust?

Hi did you know how to install db killer in it . Mine is so loud
Hello, not sure what you mean. I did order a db killer that slips in the link pipe. It is loud without it!

After US > CAD exchange rate and baffle around $700
@@EvoSC_80 Ouch! That cost as much for what I paid for my bike.
