Easy bohemian layered paint finish using Terra Clay Paint

- It's not often I paint using purple's BUT I was challenged by a fellow painter JPo from @ThePurplePosie to create a piece using purple tones. Of course I rose to the challenge AND it was a great way to try out the new Terra Clay Paint from @DixieBellePaint in shades that I wouldn't ordinarily be drawn to (I'm a blues and greens gal!)
I've used 'easy' in the title of the video as it really is super easy! This paint layers like an absolute dream and it makes it so quick and easy to create these kind of bohemian finishes which I adore.

BOO-gun-VEE-ya is how I've always heard it.
I've also heard that BUT someone told me to pronounce the 'LL' and its French. I have literally no idea and I hope I never have to pronounce it again 😂

Wow. Great crusty patina. As someone who has used both Dixie Clay and Terra Clay, what are the differences when using them?
Chalk Mineral Paint levels out and can create smooth finishes as well as other finishes. Terra doesn't self level and creates much more texture when applied. It's also thicker in consistency out of the jar but can be watered down to create a watercolour paint. It's very much an artisan paint. Hope that helps!
@@faffdesigns Thank you very much for the clear explanation. I love the look of layered paint colors. But unfortunately my customers are very conservative buying mostly black or white. My vendor name is Distressed Donna's. I am gradually introducing more furniture as art pieces.
I know how you feel about people wanting plainer pieces! I try to do a mix of all styles for this reason 😀

Hi Joanne, It's not the best as it can pull the paint with it being a thin consistency. Terra Wax is a much harder wax specially formulated for Clay Paint
