I don’t have a T1N anymore and no intention to buy one anytime soon, but I still love tuning in. It’s all so entertaining and love that you always show obscure repairs it is entertainment for all people including non-T1N owners
Very accurate informative video, and thank you for sharing. I had to replace my ECM (the old one has no communication what so ever), SKREEM, and the key transponder, but now I notice the ECM gets HOT while the engine running !! Is that normal?
Full set with key chip and WSP, $900-$1200. We can buy just the ECM for about $50 at the scrap yard but that needs $500 programming to work with a new key and different WSP.
can i switch a ecm and skreem from a 118 to one from a diff wheelbase? i think i read somewhere the stabilty control in yr ecm is programmed fr a particular wheelbase....id like to switch ecms because id like to install cruise control and my 118 isnt flashed for cruise but the ecm from a diff wheelbase is...witch i think is a 158
I've not found any difference in that respect. I think it would be easier to find someone local with DAS to enable cruise in your existing ECM. Swapping ECM should not be taken lightly as it can cause other issue beyond mismatched odometer and VIN, which can cause problems at state and local inspections.
@@FloridaVanMan awesome thank you. I’ll swap it all to get this one started. Now to properly repair the error code would the ecu or skreem need programmed?
Hello man i swap ecu from 2006 to 2004 and its working fine but some time give falls check engine do i have to program it or i keep working with it without programming please help

Have you ever seen something like this? I'm having weird stuff happen as a result of a CAN bus fault (I think) on my 04 T1N ua-cam.com/video/IdO2A1OJ5Dw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=AleckWright
ECM failures won't typically trigger codes for accurate self-diagnosis. This swap is generally for vans that won't turn the starter motor. No-crank, no-start, often with a dash message StartError or the condenser fan kicks on when key is turned on.

Great video, Hope the weather treats you ok !
We are without power and internet, lost some fence panels and a few tree limbs. That's about all.
Very useful info as always. Can't rate these guys enough.
You’re the greatest!!
good diagnostic

Warm but not hot. I'd be concerned if it is too hot to hold on to. I fear that is a weakening/failing electrical connection causing heat.
Are the screws to get at the SKREEM all torx? Do you know what size torx bits I need?
Usually T-20 will get it all done here but some vans have 2 Phillips head screws in the front piece of plastic around speedometer.
Excellent!
How much are these ECU's in the US

I have an 05 that has an error code, can I swap out my 04 to the 05? The only difference is the 04 doesn’t have cruise control.
Yes, anyone with DAS can enable the cruise control.

I think it can be programmed for the van by SOSdiagnostics dot com They might need the original ECM for data to copy?
How do I get in contact with you guys
