I'm 25. I have flat feet. I have a mixed lifestyle. During normal walks and being idol, I never felt pain. But when I exercise a lot, especially running and jumping, I feel some pain in the arch area. The fact that worries me is my performance level. Because of flat feet, I am unable to reach my full potential.

I have flat feet but trust me you don’t need to go to a doctor and heal it artificially
Just wear shoes for flat foot people
Take calcium and Vitamin D it helps a lot
Train your calves, hamstrings, glutes and thighs.
These things reduces pain and I did all these steps for 3 months and now I can do running and skipping without knee or ankle pain.

I’m going next week for this procedure that takes approximately 10 minutes for podiatrist to do, but recovery time is about 2 or 3 weeks off that foot. I’m praying that it will help me bc I haven’t been able to walk a lot bc of the pain. Tried different insoles and even custom insoles, nothing works. I’m ready! Wish me luck please.

I’m a pretty young guy, fresh outta HighSchool and 18. I’ve always had flat feet, and it didn’t start hurting until I actually started to get into sports at a young age (I used to be pretty fat as a kid and it only ever hurt after very long or explosive/intense training sessions). Is the pain supposed to feel like a cramped foot? When I reached the end of middle school, the pain went away. I’m pretty athletic and I’m still self training to this day with no pain since I was young. I was wondering if I simply just conditioned the pain away or what? I’m still a little confused on the idea because I know a lot of people my age with flat feet, some claiming for it to hurt, and some not. So what’s the deal exactly? Really curious now.

I used to have flat feet all my life up until around 16. I starting playing soccer and after a year or so my arch corrected naturally from playing soccer but, I stoped playing and now im 21 and my left arch is starting to lose its arch but right is perfect. I notice in the gym that my left arch broke down whenever I did any type of squat and it’s affecting all my left side of my body. I’m doing my own rehab on it right now to fix it. There’s no need to go to a doctor for flat feet you can fix it yourself just takes time and a lot of work but it’ll be worth it in the long run.

I’m in Canada, I noticed my youngest daughter always fell tripping over her feet? So naturally I took her to a foot doctor; she than got a shoe insert, dr. Noticed how I walk so I also needed my feet to be corrected. So because I can only get a insert once every five years and after two years it’s completely worn out ( the insert) so my ankle pain has returned with a vengeance, I can hardly walk I’m in so much pain. Now me purchasing cheap shoes does not help my situation because I notice my feet are slanting on an angle going inward. I’m not sure why I’m telling u all this; guessing I’m hoping of anything I can correct this issue on my own or at least to ease my pain without any kind of medication which I will not accept. I love hiking, biking, canoeing basically anything outside, if anyone would look pAst my female characteristics I work hard physically labor. I can get an interview but never beyond that.

My family always used to annoy me about wearing cushioned flip flops in the house and I would just brush it off but now I know why they did it. Ive been walking barefoot around the house and on the hardwood floor for years now and now my foot has become completely flat and not only that but I get ankle, knee, hip and back pain. I should have listened.

Having flat feel hinders your performance even walking. You body is all connected. That means flat feet might affect upper body movements and It must cause injuries. Therefore, It should be corrected to save your body.
If you had tight planter fascia, you should stretch it gently and consistently so that you can make arch easily. Standing on a dumbbell grip should be helpful to stretch your sore.
Flat feet causes your low back and knees. Because, If you can't maintain arch, keeping tension on your core should be difficult. Knee valgus can occur due to flat feet. If you were to cave your knees when you squat, What you need to do should decrease weight and lift.
There are many ways that you can make your flat feet better. Practicing arch before you work out must be done to avoid injuries. And, If you enjoy Olympic lifting, It makes you want to fix your arch. Because, fixing flat feet is mandatory to lift heavy.
Using a gear prevents you from hurting your joints and low back when you squat. Because, It maintains tension on your core If your arch collapses when you squat.
Therefore, squatting heavy with flat feet must cause many problems. You should start practicing arch frequently and use gears to prevent injuries and improve efficiency of workout.

    ......
Flat feet bothers all you do. Your body is a chain. If you had flat feet, your joints and bones should be stressed when you walk, run, squat etc. It rotates your legs internally and hinders to absorb force from the ground.
Planter fascia is a bend on your feet. It consists of 3 bends which are medial, lateral, and central. If you had flat feet, It must be tightened. So, you need to deal with it.
Flat feet happens due to many variables. If you stand a lot and don't exercise, your arch must collapse. If you run fast, your planter fascia can be damaged and you may have pain on your knees and other parts. Your arch allows you to absorb from landing. You will have knee surgery If you run and jump with flat feet.
It takes at least many months to create enough arch. Increasing ankle dorsiflexion and massaging your feet might help you to make your arch better. And If you enjoy Olympic lifting for many years, your arch might be better. However, lifting heavy weight shouldn't be nice for your legs. Therefore, you need to listen to your body and find out how to enjoy lifting.
If you don't know how to fix flat feet, hiring a specialist should be beneficial. However, there are a lot of false teachers who know nothing and pretend to know it. If his solutions don't work, It is time to change your coach.

Yo, man, I think I can help. Buy orthodontics and feel the difference. I am 17 and I went to The Heel. They offered me a set of 3 insoles: the strengthener, the exerciser, and the relaxer. The strengthener is a thicker insole designed to apply force to the arch of your foot. They are meant to be worn when almost all the time, supporting your foot as well as making it stronger. They may feel a bit uncomfortable at first, but you will adjust to them quickly. I had a lot of lower back pain due to my flat foot and bigger build. But, immediately when I put on these strengtheners, my back relaxed. Second, the exerciser: an insole with average insole used primarily for what the name states. A thinner, yet seemingly stronger insole than the strengthener, the exerciser gives you the needed support for the pressure changes when running. They are comfortable to a point where you don't notice the insoles being in your shoes. I play basketball and football and since sophomore year I have been using the exercisers for practices, games, workouts, etc. They have drastically improved my athleticism, by means of allowing myself to be more active for longer without the constant pain of working my feet too hard. I wish I would've had these insoles back in 5th grade, what a difference they would've made. Finally, the relaxers: the thinnest insole of the set and maybe the most comfortable. The relaxer is used for the end of the day, after the long, hard days on your feet. The relaxers are for your feet recovery while also keeping the progress you gained. I recommend getting a pair of night shoes; moccasins, slippers, etc. You would just need to keep the insoles in the night wear to give your feet a break from the day. Sorry for the long response, but I truly believe this can help you. If you have any questions about the above, just give me a reply.

    • @ThePlaterism
      @ThePlaterism 4 роки тому

@@harrybthyname_ Insoles don't strengthen you feet, they mask the weakness. I had flat feet but have been strengthening them ever since I received custom orthotics because I felt they were bullshit, I now have an arch and can do anything I want without my arch collapsing. Applying upwards pressure turns off your foot musculature, primarily in the arch. Again, check out r/FootFunction and r/BarefootRunning for more info.

Maybe. Only about half of people with flat feet experience symptoms. But I have to say when I was a teen the issue wasn't nearly as bad as it is in my 20's. Now if I walk long enough the pain can get so bad in back and legs that it is hard to walk.
