We all know there is almost no limit to how crazy systems can get, but I like videos like yours showing a budget system can be done. Budget builds and doing your own work is satisfying. Nice job man. I’ve been eyeballing them terminators too. They’re a good deal.
And you’re right. Back in the day subs and amps were so expensive. Most car audio stuff was. just for decent stuff. I remember I had an amp from a pawnshop and the protection was bad on it but it still worked so I was rocking that for a long time. Lol

100% If you had a Hifonics amp, you were balling! LOL Most of the guys I knew, stacked up pyramid amps, which were the cheapest out at the time. Now, there's even cheaper!
i recently got two kicker comp c 15s in a walmart probox do that man was like 450$ for everything its perfect
That’s very impressive especially since you’re using half the amp.
For any newbies out there....spend another 500. You'll definitely appreciate the extra 20db. Without a doubt you can easily get in the 140s for $700-800 if you do your research and if you're willing to put in some elbow grease with deadening you can get to anywhere from 146-152. All depends on your level of dedication.

Good review. I just bought the same speakers and amp in 2022. Running on a Amazon $40 android touch screen car radio. Love it! My total cost $285
Can't beat it! I love finding a way on a tight budget. For me, that is part of the fun.

nope. Not the crunch. I had to buy a mono amp for the subs and used the crunch for Hi’s and mids
I realize this is a year old... The budget Android touch screen stereo, what would you recommend now 2024. I'm an ole' school guy and I'm trying to get up to date on the car stereos. Because I can hardly find any CDs (locally) for sale. The Pioneer I have does have the simple aux headphone type port and it has a USB port. The USB port (back in 2015) the flashdrive was how you played MP3's that we would rip from UA-cam using an app that would rip it from MP4 to a MP3 format.

i couldn’t either at first. the only way was to get the mono amp to bridge the subs down. If they aren’t bridged to 2ohm (or 4… don’t remember), it won’t be loud at all

Can someone help me. I have a crunch 1000.1 Mono. Is this mostly only bass that it's supposed to amplify or should it have some mids and highs. Cause it's only producing mostly base. Even when I use an EQ i can't get it to go on a higher frequency. i got it second hand. And I'm new to car amplifiers. Thanks 🙏

Crunch has gotten awful reviews this year. I mean the numbers are way off. So far off, it should be legal.
I been telling the young kats about the price tag on car audio back in the late 80s /early 90s. If I remember correctly, I paid over $450.⁰⁰ for the Rockford Punch 75. But to me then, it was worth it! I was using a Majestic 500 on (original ) 2x MTX 10 in the factory hatchback box sitting on the backseat of my 1976 Nova. The Majestic would overheat after about an hour & it take 30 minutes for the cool down lol. Later, I got a 90ish Ford Festiva (hatchback that looked like a roller skate lol). I took out the backseat and built a wall with 4x (original) Kicker comp (SW design) and I had that Punch 75 pushing all 4. I wanted 1 more 75 but I couldn't afford it and a crossover lol. But I could take a quarter and put it on the roof and it would bounce 12". I would pull up at the local gas station and the owner would come out and tell me, "if you bust my florescent lights.. you're going to pay for'em" 😂
YES!!!! Back in the day, the budget option was Pyramid and the only place to buy them were at the swap meet!! LOL!!!!!

Yes. Ideally you want a mono channel amp for subs. The crunch hits…you just won’t get the most out of the subs.

Is a 2000w 2 channel crunch amplifier worth buying for 100$?
For highs and mids. You also need a mono channel amp to get the most of the woofers

probably like 300 rms each not bad for 2 speakers
How's that system holding up?
Sold the jeep earlier this year. System was holding up good though. I kept the subs and sub amp. They are sitting in my garage for now
