Perhaps mention the relief sculptures on Abbey Walk Car Park ? I lived in Watkin Street South until I was 5 years old. All those houses back then were subject to a compulsory purchase order so we got re-homed. Attended Little Coates School back then only for a short while. I can still remember the day my mum and dad came to the school to pick me up on house moving day. That was my last day there and I then moved to Old Clee Infants School. Happy days. Keep those videos coming !
Ian if can remember this correctly that very Large House after the St James Scchool was the Nicholsons Seed Company HQ and Offices that could also be seen from Sackville Street, off Littlefield Lane where I once lived before moving to Barton on Humber to work at the Rope Factory and later Falcon Cycles. Tony in Essex
Yes after crossing over the rail line in Cartergate and looking toward the Grimsby Minster there was a row of Terraced Houses and behind them the Works Club and Bowls Green for Workers of Bird Eye. I know that because my Father was the Bowls Club Green Keeper.
Hi Ian, I went to an italian restaurant many years ago when i visited Grimsby taking my mother to see her family. I stayed in a big house in Brigegate? which was also a B&B.The waiter in the restaurant tried to tell me they invented garlic bread. (BS). It could have been the one you showed.
Perhaps you could occasionally reference Google maps, for those of us who moved from Grimsby years ago, and remember certain areas, but not necessarily what the roads were called? I'm enjoying the channel. Thank you. I agree with you... If I see another video showing a crackhead on Freemo with some self righteous prick saying "this is Grimsby"... 😔
So when you mention your location, perhaps show a quick picture of your location from Google maps? Just a thought. I'm enjoying the content either way. 👍
10:15 - because it doesn't bring clicks. Poverty porn brings in the viewers. It's a shame as Grimsby has some lovely buildings, architecture and people. Nice video.
