Absolutely - knowledge of local waterways is very important, including following tidal patterns for bays and oceans. Always wear a leash and lifejacket for safety, being separated from your board in wind and current is one of the biggest risk factors, so wearing those two safety items is crucial.
@SunsetNight not saying that can’t happen, but if it does, it’s rare… or rarer than being attacked in the water not being on one and if that’s the case you’re probably already doomed. Might as well just enjoy life and not worry about every little thing you cannot control! And if all else fails, if one does try to eat you, just whack ‘em on the nose with your paddle! 😂
We do recommend life jackets and leashes be worn in most circumstances, and respecting local regulations. Your leash is arguably more important as it keeps you connected to your board and prevents it from blowing away should you fall off in windy conditions or in current.
While you should wear a PFD, it’s not a requirement so long as you’re wearing a leash. That ties you to your board and is still your ‘life jacket’ so to speak. Wearing both is just a better precaution.
Man I bought a new paddle board the other day, more so to find something to be able to have some laughs with my daughter
Somebody hasn't seen JAWS !!

Do you need to be careful paddle boarding in the ocean because of currents? Or is it not like swimming and you can overcome them?

Awesome
The perfect date night is a lot of work with all that recording to do.

The beauty of paddle boarding is you're ON the water, not in it :-)

Uff life jackets ….
Yk if you can swim you don’t need life jackets
@@IBurntMyWaffle not true. Sometimes currents are so strong that even the best swimmers can’t swim out of it

@Gustav The Doberman Choppa T.I that's why it's recommended to never swim against the rip tide. Always swim parallel or diagonally

The music is unbearable! :P
Mute button = solution! :-)
@@Islesurfboards Not watching it, even better ;)
I heard sharks are attracted to the shape of the boards. I would NOT be dangling my legs in the water like a snack.
What a lovely idea ❤ I should try this out with my future bf or gf.
Nice couple they care of sharks..every night they serve theirselfs to sharks..one day they will eaten for sure😂😂😂
Eating salad on the board so cringe
