- From wild karens, doordash cutting base pay, to app changes and annoying scenarios, today we are covering 15 things every doordash driver hates. I got some screenshots from reddit and google, comment below if theres anything YOU think should be added to the list.
I never answer my phone when a customer tries calling me after delivery
I got a text form a customer. They got the wrong order but I had already ended my doordash shift.
I made this mistake a couple of weeks ago

#16 Delivering an alcohol order and the app refuses to scan the ID so you have to manually enter the DOB and expiration. It mainly happens to me when the lighting is terrible and it’s nighttime. The flashlight doesn’t seem to help either.
#17 Houses that don’t leave their porch lights on at nighttime. I love feeling like a burglar at night trying to scope out the house number to make sure I’m at the right spot!

Don’t forget the photo is too dark when it’s clearly not and your taking pictures with the flash on and pissing off the dogs in the window even more 😆

I almost never get an order out of zone, so a beef is when they send you out of zone and you get nothing in the new location.
What about when Doordash sends you an order and a text message at the same time saying something like "David's order is ready for pickup at Chipotle" and it's a $3.00 going 8 miles trying to bait you into taking that junk
Right?! or what about they say David’s orders ready for pick up you walk in there and it’s not even ready that one’s the best you end up waiting there 15 minutes
It says your daily total at the top of the earnings tab so you dont have to add them all up. does for me at least 0:07
OMG the scripting. So accurate. I am glad the got rid of the reason for declining. I don’t have time for that while driving.
You can tell if it's actually busy by checking to see if the earn by time option is available.
#16 Taking a picture of my pizza bag every single day. It's not like I just bought it today and need to upload a pic for a first time. Literally each new day I take a pic of it for my first pizza run.
#17 Getting harassed in texts from a customer who is stop #2 in a stacked order scenario. They are actively watching my progress and see that I'm not traveling directly to their address because I'm going to customer #1 instead. I've had rude customers cuss me out in text and tell me how stupid I am for not traveling directly to them with their food because they think I'm going on a joyride.
#18 Declining an order and then getting the exact same order again.
#19 Karens that approach me to tell me I can't park somewhere when I'm in the middle of a delivery. Usually happens in higher class Apt complexes. All I want to do is drop off food and get out of there and I'm being delayed by a random Karen causing trouble.
#20 Dogs. There is nothing worse than getting out of your car with good smelling food and facing someone's dog that is running loose.
I don't know how anyone could tolerate DD, low pay, can't easily cancel orders when the restaurant can't prepare them..went to UE and can't even with DD anymore.
I feel that. Only time I do DD is when I did my 12 hours &/or I’m filling in space. But I pause it soon as I get an Uber order that’s good.
I remember sitting in a parking lot waiting for one order and watching the same dasher come back three times to pickup three different orders while I still sat waiting for one… not sure what that was about but I got heated…
It’s because they top Dasher and they’re getting prioritized are used to see this all the time now I really don’t do DoorDash that much anymore. I don’t think it’s worth it anymore. In my opinion I’ll still do it sometimes or they could be multi apping as well. But it used to get me heated too. Trust me I know how you feel.
Surprisingly no one has said this yet but in the iOS version of the app, it keeps track of your daily earnings. Not sure why the Android version isn’t designed the same way
I think the new order screen is better to me, cuz its easier to see where it is

Dogs, Dogs and Dogs. I hate customers that have "MEET AT DOOR" and lo and behold they have some big ass dog barking just behind them and it's just a little open gap before he pounces at you outside. If you have a dog, make sure it's secure in the house and make sure your order is "LEAVE AT FRONT DOOR".

I waited for the e-mail for large orders for about a year. Finally got it, but didn't receive a single order from it for 14 months. That was a month ago and haven't seen another one yet.

ONE TIME I WAS FINISHED WITH A UBER EATS DELIVERY, AND THE CUSTOMER CALLED ME, ONLY TO FIND OUT I FORGOT TO GET THE $5 TIP UNDER THE MAT, THAT WAS SO FUNNY
I had a girl do this to me one day she actually texted me after I dropped her food off and she was literally standing outside, waiting for her food. I sent her food and her drink down and took a picture of the food. She was literally standing in the picture, after she grabbed her drink and her food she went in there and texted me. You forgot my drink after she sent me a two dollar extra tip through the app. Some people just make no sense. I told her I took a picture of your food and your drink you were standing right in the picture you have your drink She said OK thank you. I thought that was just the weirdest stupidest thing I think something was more about that.

Please do one for UberEats! Lord knows you could probably spend an hour alone talking about their shitty tipping system. 😅
They’re a hell of a lot more busier and better than DoorDash. No top Dasher bullshit no zones no acceptance rate matters no completion rate matters and obviously the customers tip way better on Uber eats. That’s what I found out. Yeah you might have to wait for an hour to receive that but most of them turn out more to be what it was offered on the screen, so yeah I like Uber eats better than DoorDash. They’re way busier.

That’s because they suck and everyone and their mother is out here doing the stuff for a living. I recently just started getting notification banners from DoorDash saying it’s busy. They’re only sending you that because they want your ass out there to drive. I’m not doing that.

It's easy to get into the large order program in my market it takes 100 deliveries in the last month, 70% acceptance rate, 95% completion and a 4.7 customer rating. I managed to do it with less than a month on the platform and its definitely worth it.

@@petruzzi600 EBT and just hit accept, sure some individual orders are lousy but they average out. I have a neighbor that referred me and he cherry picks, my hourly pay is nearly double his plus I get more dollars per mile.
see, the acceptance rate is the issue. cause u have to accept some crap. My dollars per hour and per mile have drastically improved by basically treating doordash like all my other gig apps.
@@BrainletReviews I just hit earn by time and roll with it, the average over time seems to work out better than cherry picking.
@@thehappyclam3942 I try to do earn by time, but keep within the area im in and try to stack with other orders. Then again, it's not always possible. But if you can do that, it's probably the most profitable strat.
