What people don't realize is, that the biggest hidden cost is vehicle wear and tear. The thousands of miles you go through really starts to wreck your vehicle and you begin paying for for costly repairs.
I'd love to see how much of that 20 grand actually goes to fuel in your car. From my time as an uber driver, people would be shocked at how little of that money you are actually keeping to spend on things other than fuel.
If you gas up every other day for $45. Work 5 days full time, that’s $225 plus quarter tank still in your car. Mileage Tax deduction is about $80 a day, $400 for those 5 days. Offsets gas easily!! 😂

I’m sure you can find something else to do that you can make $25/hour and not have to use your own vehicle! I’d love to know what your mileage is to adjust the pay vs vehicle mileage I’m sure it’s more like 18-20/hour. Plus you did 20+ hours of OT so now we’re talking roughly 15/hour! Doordash takes some of your tips behind your back. I don’t care what anyone says. I drove Uber eats almost 4 years and gave doordash a try and they’re a shady operation.
Idk honestly I could see it either way. Like if I saw and article that said "Doordash confirmed to stealing tips" I would even blink and it but it never seemed shady to me but I was always a worse experience and they certainly seemed to care less about their drivers
Since the pandemic is done, food delivery is no longer a viable option. Get a better job there
Lol homeboy car need about $700 worth of work after all them damn miles 😂
It’s a beater, oil change and off he goes
Shit $700 is pocket change when you racking in $1500 every week lmao patch that bitch up and get back on the road
his car looks like a 99 toyota camry. Maintenance is cheap and you can put 500k miles on that shit
What about your expenses like gas can you mention it in your next video
I do a breakdown every 30 days so I have one but I won't do another until day 60
What people don't realize is, that the biggest hidden cost is vehicle wear and tear. The thousands of miles you go through really starts to wreck your vehicle and you begin paying for for costly repairs.
So what? Buy a new car with Doordash earnings. $80k a year ain’t nothing to sneeze at.
I wouldn’t want to drive my car around 60/70 hours a week. That’s just wracking up miles on it
Ugh the grease soaking through that bag. Imagine being so lazy u can't go get ur own food and then THAT'S what u eat.
How much did you spend for your gas during that week ?
Lol there’s no way of giving a consistent answer
I’ve done DoorDash for extra cash part time, on average I would make anywhere from 15-20$ an hour. But that is of-course before gas money and other car expenses. I honestly don’t recommend it full time in the long run it’s not worth it.
-gas,insurance, wear and tear on car then those pesky taxes. Is it still worth it afterwards.
Postmates was the best they used to have these serges were the deliveries were like 9$ per order and it was down the street in 30 minutes you could make a easy 28$
I make more off UberX in my area than Uber eats
You also want to remember none of that is taxed
I don’t know how you guys do it full time .. I can see part time to pay for vacation or bank some money . Especially with health insurance or days off with out pay for sick days
Yeah it's not great full time I won't lie. But part time it is one of the best side hustles our there
Yes.. no you're working near 80 hours which is like normally 2 weeks work In a decent paying job. Which kinda seems like it's worth it except you're killing yourself doing it from my perspective. But stay safe either way be careful
Multiapping is the way to go no one app is alone better
When you have to confirm the order and u have an order from another restaurant in your car and your headed 2 different directions 🤣🤣🤣
Geeez man I’m in need of some urgent money rn having to move to a new place.
I’ve been doing door dash only and my average is $150 for about 8 hours.
doing 5 days a week.
I want to do uber eats but the sign up is a bit more difficult.
What’s your schedule?
How many days a week and hours per day do you work?
Who tf orders a milkshake on DoorDash
You would be surprised. They always melt before they get to them and I don't get it
@@owenlindstrom put it in an insulated bag n it doesn’t melt a drop
But are you also factoring in car maintenance?
You are driving more so you will need to do more oil changes, replace the brakes more often due to the higher frequency of stops, start motor will need a replacement sooner due to the stop starts
Also those quik lube places cost you more money
So dont use them
As for amount of money.
I just got paid for my job and I worked about 60hrs in a fornight and got paid $1900
Nawwww I got fired from door dash and all I got is Uber eats and I’ve never even made more than 109 bucks with it
Edit: vague answer but I’m saying that DoorDash makes more money
Have you tried doing any catering delivery apps? The pay per delivery is what you’re getting in an hour I’d guess. And likely only take 30 mins…. Great way to supplement….
This must be a Very Old video because Bidenary economy sucks, gas is up $4gal, sometimes no deliveries for hours, massive layoffs and huge increase in New drivers. Snow Rain Freezing driveways, working 12hrs split shifts and still not earning $999 wk before gas. I drive for UberEats GrubHub LYFT and Spark. Been working gigs for 6yrs, this is thee worst yr. And IRS changed the tax structure so 50% less tax write off starting in 2023.
Don’t quit your jobs people plz lmmaooo
I just started delivering as a side hustle in vegas. Anyone have any tips? Are the surg area worth it?
Also whats the best app to keep track of miles for gas. Also what else can I deduct? As far as my vehicle?
Car payment, car insurance, cell phone/internet, car registration, obviously gas.
Oil changes, maintenance- tires/ rotation. Is all of those i listed able to deduct on taxes?
But meed help as far as keeping track.
I just lost my job today & until i find a new job ( bartender local gaming bar non union in Vegas). I will have to do Uber eats & door dash. & monday i will be finishing the set up for uber driver. As i have 9 days to do a promotion 15 rides for $300 incentives for new drivers.
Anyways please all the tips & help i can get. Bonus if your in Vegas & can really help me on everything i listed.
Also if anyone knows of any local gaming bars hiring asap. Open availability all cards. Experience.
Not as sexy as it sounds is it? You could work at Starbucks and make that!
Stop wasting your time, get a real job !!! You will get no where ,, that total might look big but it's still a terrible hourly wage and you haven't even deducted your GST, income tax, fuel and car's servicing, tyres and depreciation !!!
I did 19 deliveries today & made $110. Not counting gas i spent nor wear & tear 🤦🏼♀️ I'm an idiot, apparently 🙄
That’s a hard pass, not only does insurance go up while working and doing these apps, but gas comes outta pocket, then you got wear and tear and maintenance cost on your vehicle. With all that put to the side is you break it down that’s anywhere from around 15-17 bucks an hour. Even McDonald’s hires at $18 an hour 🤷🏻♂️
All dashers please 🙏🙏🙏. Stop 🚫🛑⛔accept orders 2.50 3.50 or 4.50 please. Will be see what happened after one week or two weeks. Promise
Crazy. $24 hr before expenses. Basically 15-16 an hour and you’re taking all the liability. Nuts that people actually do this.
Everyone here is commenting “for 20$ an hour? What a joke.” Meanwhile they’re all probably making less than that. Don’t judge the hustle
1583 over 74.5 hours = 21.24 per hour. most likely spent around 200 dollars on gas and will need 3 oil changes every 2 months, will drive close to 80,000 miles a year. Need to get that hourly up so you can buy a car every year.
Sell cars, A mini is 200 per car in like 3 hours, of course you can make up to 2500 per sale depending on how bad you financially ruin someone. Makes WAY more money then delivery driving 😊
I’m in Philadelphia if you drive for Uber about 60 hrs a week your making about 2,000 a week with Uber incentives added. Where can you make that type of money on your own terms and do it when you feel like it ? I thought so
