- In this episode we take delivery of a new Shallow Sport 25' X3. We waited over a year for it and couldn't be happier! Sara will be using this boat to run some lobster and crabbing charters and we will be using it a bunch to film UA-cam Videos on.

When you learn how to fully utilize the trolling motor you will realize how great it is. definitely the best investment I ever made for my boat was a good trolling motor. That spot lock is a game changer. I rarely use my anchor anymore, and the spot lock really helps you dial in a spot.

Nick tell Sara to not let the cord wrap around the head/ shaft of the trolling motor. Essentially think of it as operating it 180 degrees either direction from 0.

If you only knew how different this boat is to the original Shallow Sports you'd freak. All great boats but the 'evolution' of Shallow Sports is incredible.

I think you'll thoroughly enjoy the Minn Kota, I have the same one on my 19' scout and fish out of Charleston SC. After 3 years, I can't imagine fishing w/o it, it's completely transformed my time on the water. Also I've had zero issues w/ it over 3 years (my friends w/ the auto deploy can't say the same).

Lol didn’t take long to switch from “what is this thing for there are wires everywhere” to “wow look we are in the same spot, this is great” hahah trolling motors are the bees knees. Makes fishing so much easier. No more planning drifts or putting an anchor out just to check if the fish are biting. Surprised they aren’t on the freeman yet, been seeing the super long shaft trolling motors on offshore boats pretty often.
We have come to love the trolling motor for sure 🙌🏻

Boat looks awesome! Trolling motor is a must, and with spot lock becomes game changer. I think OUR boat! Maybe more videos because on rough sea, you can go shallow and get more footage 👍🏻
