I believe the key to longevity in the blue zones could be their diet but more importantly, their relatively lower stress lifestyle due to their unique perspective of life
Yes. Both. If I am correct folks like that don't do all the "counting" of everything like so many do over here in America. They just eat foods that naturally help you all the time and the food is balancing so therefore no need to "count/tradeoff/watch" what you eat so much/if at all due to how the food is natural and good for you.

Hallo!!!! I am Greek and I also live in Greece although I haven't visited Ikaria. In terms of herbs and virgin olive oil it is true that we eat a lot, as well as vegetables. We use olive oil everyday for cooking and basically on our salad. Olive oil is a remedy for many physical disorders .In every city there is a marketplace at least once a week where someone can buy fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs which most of them are cultivated by farmers. Of course, we can find them in supermarkets but in marketplace they are more fresh and less expensive. A weed is a plant out of place. A rose 🌹 in a food crop is a “weed”.
@@aclassmedicine3306 An invasive is a plant brought into a new habitat where it lacks predators or other constraints on its spread, and displaces native plants and disrupts the new ecosystem. Not all introduced plants become invasive.
The most invasive weeds in Seattle are the people
@@oyotundookubegwa520 The chicory is definitely more useful than some of them. :-)

After watching my country deteriorate I feel renewed by these wonderful people!
Yes it’s deteriorating bc of Liberal Godless Left
thanks! love the videos of the blue zones
I would love to relocate to Ikaria. Since I can't get good wine in the US, that is a natural wine, I just make beer so I know what's in it. I even grow several varieties of hops. I am convinced that hops are the secret to the preservation of the liver. We'll see.
I want some
Hops 🤔 maybe. Alcohol is metabolized like fructose not helpful in large doses!
I would love to try some organic wine from one of these locations, I have tried making my own and it was terrible but I’d made it from juice. I think the trick is using real grapes and probably the right ones, organic of course!
You can get lots of wine here in the US it's just all poisoned
I am going, see you there!
That's actually the Aegean Sea, no ocean around 😊
Loved the documentary ❤
Great food and people
Amazing lifestyles and such inspirational stories! I wonder what that beekeeper thinks of protecting the thousands of other bee species though, not just honey bees which outcompete the others.... :/
They have a limited number of bee species on the island. Also, no wolves, bears, coyotes, or any other type of animal found in mainlands across the world. They are a very isolated island. So, they deal with the bees they have.
Would love to live there
Very enjoyable video!!
I don't drink wine in my 35 years existing in my life. But after watching this i consider to drink 😅
Don't do this, big mistake, not joke
