I basically do the same thing. Except I have separate Notebooks for Work, Personal and Business. One great thing about OneNote is that you can have Section Groups, which are setup using PARA system. Each project gets its own Section. You can even nest section groups! So my Archive folder is further split into Years. God I love OneNote. You can also have nested
I'd LOVE to hear/see more about how you do this. I like "containers" for organizing my physical space and also use separate notebooks for things so this sounds cool!
Great video thank you. As an adult with both ADHD and dyslexia I’ve really struggled with note taking all my life. You’ve given me some great ways to improve.
Wow I LOVE this idea! I’ve never considered doing anything like this, but it feels like something I’ve wanted for so long! I’ve just used my iPhone notes app forever, but I’ve also known that it isn’t very effective. Thank you so much for this video!! Also I don’t know what others are talking about saying you talk too fast, this video was the perfect speed for me, and I love how you use all the visuals and screen sharing to show what you’re talking about! Thank you so much!!
Oh also, do you find that the desktop app version of OneNote is slower than the online version because it contains so many images and documents? Mine has slowed down quite noticeably since using it the past couple years I in school, so I’m considering using the online version instead.
Thank you soooo damn much!!! :') This could potentially be a lifechanging methodology to adopt into my life! Following along and slowly creating on OneNote atm
Make a video about your video creation process, the app you use, use cases of the app and thought process in making quality content by your standards. Good video✨
Thanks eunice this is exactly what I needed you are very charming I am practicing to produce more content rather than just consume passively and writing comments is a start
Eunice, good video. Just a suggestion if you can talk a bit more slowly as in this video (and some of the more recent ones) you seem to be rushing. Maybe, it might be the software you are using to edit these videos that makes you sound rushed. In your other videos, A Day In The Life Of A Doctor: Night Shift & Surviving the night shift as a junior doctor: My top tips, you sound very good and so natural. Regards
Hey P! Thank you for your comment, I’m really happy you’ve watched my other videos too. I’ll take that to heart, and try slow down haha. I’ve been trying to really make it sound faster than my normal speech so the youngsters don’t get bored. I might be going too fast 🥲 thank you for your comment!
UGHHH that’s ONE thing that I haven’t figured out with one note it’s so frustrating. I know on Microsoft OneNote that was possible but I haven’t been able to on iOS! Let me know if you figure it out please?
I confess that honestly I tried to build up a second brain in onenote for several times but it failed to provide organizational depth to my data, so I just got back to notion
Cool! I think notion is a little too technical for me and the big plus is the ability to have offline access in onenote that notion from my understanding doesn't? What's in your second brain@@brunooadas ? 😁
actually I have the same issue of offline mode with notion, but I managed to work this out by creating an inbox folder, so actually I can write offline, I just cant access extensive data. However you can use a quick capture app like google keep or apple notes to do that@@eunjint
If you want databases, sure use notion. Otherwise OneNote is simpler, faster and doesn't require so much time customising it. Just setup up your folder structure with the PARA system and that's it.
Is there a way to copy a page in OneNtote muiple times? I have template pages and I need to make hundreds of copies. I have been right clicking and selecting where I want it and hitting copy. But doing it one at a time. Is there a way to do this 10's or 100's of times easily?
hahaha johnson, that one's a bit tricky! What post grad course are you doing? Im currently studying for a postgrad medicine exam while travelling but its not easy!
How do I move images together with ink, drawing etc. Sometime I want to insert a image in between 2 image which already have ink on top of it. So problem now is the image do not move with ink.
Hahha sorry! literally there’s this widget where you can click on camera or photo album to insert a photo clipping that gets saved as quick notes in one note :) In the Samsung tablet it has subsections sorry I don’t know about iPads!
I love the subject you're talking about, I don't love that you talk way too fast, no time for comprehension, retention, we missed important details, too much in too little time carries mental exhausting reducing learning efficiency. A 12 min long video may help instead of trying to get it all done under 9. I do want to get the point of what you prepared, but it will be at a lower speed rate, making the whole experience prob 20 min long.
i dont want to build a second brain unless it is actually a high level architecture with uml or flow diagram and a 45 step process and i dont get anything done unless that work is perfecting the diagram
So I gave up on this eight minute plus video at the seven minute mark when it became absolutely clear that she was never, ever going to explain how to set up OneNote as a second brain. There were a lot of explanations about concepts, and then just when it seemed she would FINALLY start talking for real (at 6:30) she started talking about an entirely different app. Plus, there were not one, but two calls to action, and from a technical standpoint, there was absolutely no attempt to moderate the echo in the room. In short, a complete and utter waste of time. To be fair, however almost every UA-camr never actually talks about what they say they’re going to talk about. This could now be an opportunity for you to start being better.
Good tips but girl you talk too fast and maybe if your mic closer to you so you don't shout. Also, that lil window showing what you did with the screenshot...not helpful.

The first "A" in PARA stands for "Areas" not "Action". Hope that helps. Good video. Very helpful to see your setup.
Hahaha yes I realised that when I was editing

Thank you nathan! I'm a big fan of onenote haha

Wow this is basically a good video with a very good message: being fluid.
Great summary!!
You could stay all in one MSFT ecosystem. In your order: Planner, Onenote, Excel, Outlook
Oooo I see! I haven’t looked at Microsoft planner before I should check that out.
Just because of OneNote and Planner I'm considering migrate my e-mail to Outlook. Bizarre lol

Adorei! Grato!
My first brain hurts now
I really love what you’re doing here, but what is easiest way to get book highlights into OneNote?
Nice video!
How does it look like each page has a caption like "No additional text"? Is it just in the Apple version, or is there a way to add them?
I confess that honestly I tried to build up a second brain in onenote for several times but it failed to provide organizational depth to my data, so I just got back to notion
maybe if notion doesnt work for me again I bounce back to onenote, this method seems really cool

You can use the lasso select tool!
Great video!
The capturing-part with the widget was too fast for me. Where can i find details?
At ipad there are still no subsections, am i right?

I was surprised that you adea notebook titled “second brain” and dinn not just put your PARA files at the top of the hierarchy.
How do you mean?
