My wife just found Cryus's ship in skyrim. I flipped my lid and quickly showed her this video to give her some back story and she thought it was so cool that she found the ship. It's one of the new downloads for the dead man's dread quest. Also, Apparently it can become house for you to own in game.
I've come to really like the old ES games. I'm currently doing a playthrough of Daggerfall and it's really good so far. I'll have to consider playing Redguard when I'm done.
As much as i like Tiber Septim and his empire, it's very interesting to see Third Empire as the antagonist of this game. Too bad the game mechanics aren't as good as the story itself
"There once was a hardy young lad of the sea A Redguard of courage and honor was he Sail on, my Cyrus, sail on..." -- First Mate Malvulis of the Marie Elena, in TES IV: Oblivion
This is AMAZING...Of all the Man races on Tamriel the Redguard are always the fiercest against opposition, even the mighty Tiber Septim and the Empire needed the Redguards Leader to die, for them to weaken themselves and fight each other in a civil war AND a Dragon to defeat them. I also love to see the Redguards are rising again finally in the 4th Era. Also about he narration, that narration style will NEVER get old, Dark Souls uses it in a more eerie dark way but they still use the narration style and I love every Dark Souls intro, just like I loved the ES: Redguard one.
@@samuelfreeman5483 yeah but in those games you pretty much end up making the story yourself, if you just look at the stories themselves they really aren't that deep or consistent
There is a Skyrim side quest where you can acquire Captain Cyrus’s sword and outfit and boots. I didn’t realize who Cyrus was until I learned about TES: Redgaurd
Yall kno Cyrus he's that swashbuckling sea sailing sword swinging superfly and snappy dressed don all the way from Hammerfell dropping his hammer head on fools in every province yeah he's that guy
Imperial Knowledge, in the Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, there is a Redguard named Cyrus at the Blades Temple? Theory video perhaps? I dunno, maybe just a namesake.
Yeah, Naffilargus was one of the last surviving dragons of the Dragon War along with Parthunaax. Tiber Septem found him in the mountains of High Rock hiding from the Blades. Tiber Septem agreed to protect Naffilargus from the Blades if he would fight in his armies and help him conquer Hammerfell.
Hey imperial knowledge, I have a question and a possible ending Bethesda could give in who could be the next emperor in elder scrolls skyrim. So my question is would the akiviri have early black powder firearms like the match lock muskets the Japanese had during the samurai period ( beings the blades armor and weapons are based on the akiviri warriors) and the emperor situation would be that the ppl heard of the Dragonborn but he turn it down and wither live his days with the greybeards or live his days in peace somewhere in Tamrial love your videos sorry for my misspelling and you help.explain so much of the lore of the games keep up the good work
So what exactly happened with cyrus' sword meeting with tiber septim? Did he kill tiber septim or did septim kill him? Did septim use chim to get rid of the pankratosword? Edit: I mean he obviously did kill tiber septim but did he wound him and escape or is that when he died?
StarOfElyon Creator I'm not sure if it would be possible. The only reason Skywind and skyblivion are allowed is because you'd also need to own those games on Steam along with skurim, but Redguard isn't on Steam
@@WarDoctor42 that's not true at all. They use entirely different, homemade assets by the mod teams. It is actually illegal to take assets from one game and transferring them to another. So you only need Skyrim.
so... daggerfall was about a war-torn country of people with a warrior culture, who just lost it's high king and was caught between both a civil war over the next ruler and opposing, foreign forces that had the ultimate goal of taking over not just their country but all of tamriel, AND dragons are involved in the story?..... hmmm, where have i heard that story almost exactly in a more recent, less creative game..... edit: ok i take it back this was backstory apparently but still lmfao
for a spin-off this was a pretty good plot
All i want for Christmas is lore

Did you see those warriors from hammerfell
They have curved swords

This game has to be fucking remastered
It should be a movie to be honest.

Doubtful. This game nearly put Bethesda out of business

good luck trying to get through the game without a corrupted save
I Focking LOVE the Old Fallout and Elder Scrolls Adventures Intros!

I'd love to see a Beyond Skyrim style mod where you could play through that story in TES5, or 4, or 3.
@@RouxAroo666 it would be great, but if someone work on that, it would be finished when we're in our 70s i guess ahhahaha

The best god damn storytelling in all of TES.
It's great, but don't discount Morrowind or Oblivion. Heck, Daggerfall has some really interesting plot as well.

I saw an entire LP from this game. The story was amazing! Why can't we have a Remake or a game in Hammerfell?
Ranger Cervantes That will make too much sense for Zenimax.
I agree story wise its my favorite elder scrolls a remake would be awesome :)
I personally hope TES VI is set in Hammerfell, despite the Bretons and Imperials being my favourite races, lore wise and in-game.
I wouldn’t play as I’d hate to fight the Empire
Well surely it'd be interesting to experience things from the other side for once.
I hate the empire.
Skyrim belongs to the Nords!
@@NikkyElso skyrim belongs to the snow elves
I know this comment is old but if you look into the lore the empire is very scummy. What Tiber Septim did with the nimidium is terrible.
Well-done lore video, IK!!
TESA: Redguard looks very interesting ^^

The Elder Scrolls: San Andreas
Tiber Septim as a antagonist is rather odd for me. The unseen antagonist Talos is a headache for me. But descent lore in the game.
I thought nogesta was a female?
i have severe speech impediment so i empathise you should edit these or try to be more calm i cant barely understand half the words
Tis one of my old videos, i reccomend watching my newer ones for lore and adequate narration. Now you only got the lore.
